    Ingredients:
    - 4 large chicken breasts (aprx 1 kilogram)
    - 2 tablespoons olive oil
    - 2 tablespoons lemon juice
    - 1 teaspoon white vinegar
    - 1/2 teaspoon salt
    - 1/2 teaspoon pepper
    - 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
    - 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder (optional)
    - 1 tablespoon low-fat mayonnaise (optional)
    Directions:
    - Slice the chicken breasts horizontally so as to have them 1 cm thick.
    - In a large bowl, mix together the oil, lemon juice, vinegar, seasoning, and mayo to create a marinade.
    - Coat the chicken breasts with the marinade, and cover with Plastic wrap.
    - Let sit for a least two hours in the refrigerator, or preferably overnight.
    - When it’s time to cook the chicken, heat a grill pan over medium-high.
    - When pan is very hot, place the chicken breasts and cook for approximately 4 minutes on each side.
    - Serve immediately with the side of potatoes, green salad, or steam vegetables.
    - And enjoy!

Sometimes when I read comments and see people get rude and nasty toward each other I wonder why. This is just a recipe...use it or don't use it. Please note that mayonnaise was low fat and it's optional. You don't have to use it or substitute anything else for it if you don't want to or if you're dairy intolerant. These recipes are merely suggestions to try or not depending on your preferences. I would imagine you can tweak it any way you want. I'm going to try it tonight. It sounds easy and delicious and I'm glad this young woman made this video.

I agree. Maybe it'll Tall Poppy Syndrome, jealous because she's doing something positive with her life. People making rude remarks says more about them than the person they're being rude too. Life's too short for that kind of nonsense.

I tried this recipe using 1 pound of chicken bc that was all that I had using the same amount ingredients (except I used 1 tsp salt bc I like my food on the salty side) and it tasted so good. Thank u for sharing this recipe.

You can use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise. It will play the role of the acid in the marinate (So no need to use vinaigrette) and it will tenderize the chicken.
And I can bet it will taste even better.

A huge thank you aalll the way from India!! We tried this tonight n the marinade was superb. Sooo yummy. My husband n I are following Sean T's focus t25 challenge and switching to a low carb/high protein diet and this was beyond ideal! Although, we baked the chicken at 180 for 14 mins, I'm guessing we overcooked it because it was chewy :( I wish I had used the grill instead! Anyhoo, trying this again with the grill.
    Thanks and keep cooking!! :)

Just a tip: a lot of low fat foods, like low fat mayo or low fat peanut butter, are actually worse. In order to compensate for the low fat, they often add more sugar to make it more palatable. Other than that, i definitely plan on making this!!

    • @CookingWithAmira
      @CookingWithAmira  5 років тому +2

i'm glad :) i hope you will like it. and yes definitely true about low-fat products. it really depends on what you want to reduce. most low-fat stuff and higher in carbs, which for some people can be worse... for me, i try to reduce both as much as i can, so i tend to go for the low calorie intake, which is why i use low fat mayo. thanks for your comment

hi. i just tried your way of making chicken breasts. it was delicious.
usually i go out to eat, but i am trying to cook at home to save
money. i have 1 question: would u recommend using a eggwash for the
recipe? i use egg wash for fried chicken, but i'm scared 2 use if on
grilled chicken cause i think it would ruin the taste. what do u think?

    • @TheSupersiddh
      @TheSupersiddh 7 років тому +1

guadalupe molina texture of cooked breast in grilling process w
would b hamper as u never grill egg as it gets cooked fast so from outside egg cooked fast but chicken would still be Raw as it needs more time to get cooked and an egg wash can't sustain it..!! basically Yes dish will be ruined😂

Wa Alaikum el Salam. don't worry dear you're not being rude. it is the lighting that makes things look weird. i don't have proper lighting in my kitchen and I always film at night after the kids sleep, so that why it looks dark. those chicken pieces were perfectly pink and fresh before cooking :)

Never have I seen any sort of cook do that. Use a meat thermometer...chicken has to rest for 5 minutes before ANY cutting. Check out Bobby Parish on Flav City if you want to learn to cook chicken properly. We all have things to learn.
