It's sounds like a situation my roommate and I found ourselves in. We live in a 1972 manufactured home we bought for 2500.00. We too live in a park and rent a space, and our park was also sold to New owners. They started sending notices about getting rid of our dumpsters that cost 8.00 a month to trash cans that raised our rent 30.00 more a month. Than they start telling everyone what colors our trailers are allowed to be, to get rid of anything made of wood, to fix up the outside of our trailers and all that crap. It's like what do ya'll think we're made of money, and are ya going to pitch some in to help us do all that. I admit our lot rent ain't too bad but all those demands are unreasonable for alot of us here. At least the old manager stayed on so paying rent didn't change for us. So hang in there girl. With a little faith, and perseverance all will be well.

Yes RECEIPT for everything. Now since the place sold you should be able to look up the Tax Appraiser and see whom brought it. They will have address and or phone number. Hope that helps.

This rent payment issue is a hot mess. Find out who actually owns that place ASAP. Something smells rotten there. When ownership changes hands the new owners are supposed to inform you as to how to pay your rent. If you aren't given that info, they'll then try to claim that you failed to pay rent and will file to evict you, which would really be a sh*tty thing to do to people. People who live in trailer parks have found themselves on the short stick by corporations who buy out the park owners.
You're absolutely right about receipts. Any time you are obligated to pay a significant amount of money for whatever reason, ALWAYS get a receipt. ALWAYS. That's your insurance policy. A lot of people have found themselves in a hell hole because they had no way to prove payment. I learned that from my mom. She doesn't play when it comes to receipts. Protect yourself.#money
Good for you Amanda i think you made a smart choice. Don't trust anyone now a days. They can come yo you personally when they need their money and better write up a receipt.
I don't trust anything either. I always get a receipt even if they say I don't need one. Then I make a copy so I will have it and a spare until I know I don't need it anymore. I understand so good for you. I wanted to mention that you could leave only the unscratched cards in the box and the "done ones" loose in the clear envelope. Just a thought. ☺

So true with the rent payments, My complex does not provide receipts. Therefore, I write a check. Than was told only money orders. Oh no, to cover myself you're getting a check. Which will tell who cashed it. And that you received it. I don't blame you on that one. When it comes to handing out money.

I ended up putting the cash in an escrow account (the bank helped me set it up) and sent a certified letter to the building office with a copy of the bank deposit slip. Pissed me off because it cost me the $$ to send. #money
If you don't want to get an money order than go get a personal check from the bank. You can't go wrong with that.
