- A Shito-ryu practitioner karate chops two beer bottles. I extracted this clip from the film "Budo: The Art of Killing."
Sorry about the sound, it was like that in the original clip.
Edit: The person depicted is Sadaharu Fujimoto of International Karate-Do Shobukai
I understand now how doppo and yujiro did this
Yujiro cut very clean, need strength, accurate technique, and fast
Bonus game... Bottle cut in art of fighting 1 😁
Katsumi also did
@@Nyanyau8976not humanly possible. These are fake. If you wanna do it, you need to be holding it in one hand very lightly so that pressure builds in the neck and then smack it narrowly upwards towards the lid
Edit: ua-cam.com/users/shortsLfK7XphP8PI?si=aIFfYS-xTeJG1_rm here’s a few examples of amateurs trying it with just regular kitchen utensils
The way he’s doing it in the video is not physically possible, because it is fake.
Daniel La russo from cobra kai also did.
Daniel: hey howd you do that
Mr. miagi: dont know first time
Omg lol 😆 😂
Now Daniel did it to impress Johnny
“Look, kid’s got. Pet nip”
The cleanest break I've seen with un-scored bottles. Very advanced skill. Thanks for posting.
This is why you need to learn karate. in case you forgot that damn beer opener.
Once I start doing that, I'll never open beer the old way again.
What you cut your lips on the class I mean their are still points parts
@@wolfkai8583 the blood makes the beer taste better
Jeez. I remember sensei showing us this documentary regularly. it was a regular occurance good times
Do you remember the name? I'm interested in watching it.
@@yorozuya2898 Budo, the Art of Killing
One of the bonus rounds from SNK's Art of Fighting game (the first one).
XDDDDD I WAS SREACHING HOW TO DO IT
Kyokugenryu karate was inspired by Kyukushin.
“🤨The guy teaches you centuries of his family history and u didn’t help him with his English?🤨”
- Johnny Lawrence
All martial arts discipline aside, it's also just a matter of physics.
Anyone who writes this off as fake isn't very scientifically inclined, to put it politely. To put it in an unpolite way, I would say they're being a jealous idiot, but I digress...
If you heat the the bottle glass within a fine line around the neck with a fine flame...then you chop it, it'll break like that. Sorry, but can't believe this.
Also you can glue to bottle down.
Garouden teached me💪
Those bottles are definitely DOCTORED up to break at the neck
Thank you for having this clip!!!!
this is one of the most diffcult breaking martial arts have it nedds lots of balance, speed, power. however my friend did you manage to do it.
Hi, I have a couple of things to say:
1- i dont know who upload this video but the description is way too wrong. the guy on the video is Sensei Sadaharu Fujimoto, the founder of SHOBUKAI KARATE DO not shotokan.
2- the "trick", as you call it, is not fake. i have tons of videos of sensei fujimoto, and this was one of them. its impressive
PS.: i know all of this becasue im a practicioner of shobukai karate, and fujimoto sensei is the founder of our school, and was the teacher of my sensei
The bottles aren't broken in a straight line. But that's okay, most people can't spot that with the "untrained" eye.
The real life Miyagi.
Exactly Fujimoto Sensei was the real life inspiration for the fake movie (which I still loved anyway). I was fortunate enough to train under him on a couple of occasions while he was in Australia. To say the man has an aura about him is an understatement, his movements are so controlled it is almost eerie.
+Dodgy Brothers nice to hear you trained under fujimoto sensei. did you got success yet the bottle neck chop which your sensei did.you said sensei bottom part of hand is twice as much thick as you is it just practising makiwara ?
There's fruit in your beer.
i think the trick is to fill the bottle up with water to a certain point. the point were the water and the rest of the empty space in the bottle meet is the point were it is broken
A real expert would do it with the bottle empty and leave it standing up after slicing off the neck.
Im actually practicing this now, i can impulse break 4 bricks now i want to do this. i first tried with glued down bottles to get the feel for it, soon ill be trying the real thing.
You will never be trying the real thing bc this is fake. If you wanna do this legit don’t bother, it’s a gimmick. Basically you’re hitting where the most pressure is, not even roughly, and the bottle will break on its own. If you grab a beer bottle in your hand and hold it VERY lightly, and then smack the neck of the bottle upwards towards the lid with a very narrow arch, you will break it with ease. You can do it with anything, a fork, knife, car keys etc the Turkish actually invented it. I think it was the Turkish at least, can’t quite remember
It's obvious that these bottles have been pre-stressed with heat. The usual way is to tie a string soaked in gasoline around the base of the bottleneck and let it burn till it burns out. It weakens the glass enough to pull this one off with a good strike.
It's just science you guys
Im not saying its fake but.. why did it break at a point where he didn't hit, and why did it break so cleanly as if there were guided stress lines for it to break down? I feel like it wouldn't be that clean a strike, and it doesn't seem like the kind of "cut" that would form from striking the neck of the bottle.
NO NO...this is real enough. I've personally seen this done. It seems being filled w water (or beer) is an important part to it. I saw a guy do this like 10 times in a row and found no reson to think he cheated by tampering w the bottle. Now that so many people question this guy doing it, i tryed doing it (but not w my hand) i hit a bottle filled w water w a stick wrapped in newspaper. it took a few times and had to hit it fuckin hard (at the top) but that shit broke, and pretty much center
oh a good one you choped it into 2 PARTS
*Walks back from Garden* *Googles* How to stop severe Bleeding
And if the Japanese Government said it, it must be true!
Of course, the CLOSE UP and SLOW MOTION only make it more obvious that he hit the top of the bottle, and the middle broke. If the glass hadn't been treated, it wouldn't have broken.
Ive seen this done before by Kyokushin practitioners and its for reals people saying its fake is just jealous because they cant pull it off but if u put time on it u will be able to pull it off
I wondering how is the Bottle of line which way it point if is point to the North ( vertical or west Horizontal ) if is have something to say to make the cut of the Bottle
that poor beer it's like seeing family being beheaded
SHIHAN Fujimoto Sadaharu is Legend in Karate. OSS!
this look kind of fake.
in slow mo he hit the upper top half of the bottle, but the spot where the bottle is cut is.............
karate expert please clarify.
I need to learn how to do this.
I have to hit the makiwara with a shuto (knife hand strike) multiple times
That's kinda vague, given the dozens of different ideas of chi. You might as well have said he did it with his body and mind. Doesn't really give any insight into HOW he did it.
it remind"s me of the nanto seiken in the hokuto no ken anime!
ah that sounds like a really big deformity, i would seek out medical attention if i were you
if you guys gonna call this video bullshit, POST A GODDAMN LINK TO PROVE IT!!!
I tried this out back after work one night after burning down some rails, I failed.....I would really like to be able to do this though, best bar trick of all time
Thanks, I'll update the description.
@mrkiky Not just that, he didnt hit the bottle from where it chopped off, he hit the bottle way above it.
Hey, how's life 7 years after this comment
@ckoski101 no shit thats the whole point of martial arts X)
the martial artist strives to achieve the impossible so its likely people wont believe things they do are possible
look how many doubters bruce lee had and still has but he proved them wrong every single time
@GPCJordanDowns "mma is brawling" and karate is dancing. any questions? most mma fighters are very disciplined and strived for better technique, ive trained with several amateur mma fighters and kickboxers i know first hand. hell even the people there to learn it for fun that didnt fight strove for better technique and were very disciplined. i dont know where you got that idea but its wrong. rest of your comment is irrelivant. its like this. well rounded fighter > non well rounded fighter.
He's hair is more scary than his chops.
If this isnt fake, how is it done. I've trained in fighting arts and never seen anything like this. The speed required for taking the top off without dropping the bottle must be far quicker than any human. His hands dont look that quick to me.
Basically the neck part right before the thin and rounded part is more fragile and easily broken, doesn't really take super speed or anything just some precise af chop ive done it before but sadly falls down like the left bottle, a real pro at this can do it without but that does take a quicker chop but same thing. Precise strike
Mr. Miyagi did something similar to that in the first Karate Kid sequel.
@jayjxD what a way to open beer! XD
Good
Cooooooooool. You should try it by hand!
Skinny doppo orochi lmfao
i think hat's not shotokan btw, i thought so to when i first saw it, but that's sadaharu fujimoto of shobukai karate, as far as i know
I’m guessing you did this so that his dad can’t drink any more Corona beer and Miller light beer
Shito-ryu is like the $5 karate school or something.
@GPCJordanDowns because mma is an all around fighting system that, if the right martial arts are incorperated, translates better to real combat than one martial art alone. its the reason the army trains several different fighting styles instead of mastering just one. and if this video is real, while impressive, does not compare to the thai fighters breaking baseball bats with their shins. this guy would not get close enough to a good mma fighter to try his karate chop.
I think it's harder to chop an empty bottle. On youtube there's a video of a kungfu master who did that.
Probably easier with a saber, since steel is denser than glass.
Now drink out of it
next time do it to empty bottles :| , if you dont drink , give it to me , i'll empty them for ya :| , drink beer fuck fear ~
It's not as dangerous if you know what you're doing. Like the movie says, it takes years of practice.
LUAR BIASA!!! KI / CHI nya, thank you.
Is this trick safe? I see that the broken zone is not the same as the impact zone, thats why im asking...
And anyone knows how this trick is EXACTLY done? Im asking this because there migh be something that the video doesnt show...
this movie is always on showtime ive sat through it like 10 times lol
Whats it called?
@@laraycrenshaw5908 dude its in the video's description....
which im glad cause i posted that comment 12 years ago and forgot myself....haha
He actually got clean cuts aswell...
imagine that hand striking a neck....
Don't call me ignorant, but I just don't see how that's possible.
ua-cam.com/video/Tpoy7NjHBTE/v-deo.html
I'd not like a spinning hammerfist from this dude
chuck norris can do that just by looking at a bottle
that was fake, his hand never touches the bottle
That is so cool
@geitenbal naaah sakaki went over 9000, he barely makes his 500s :D
Lord chop the damn bottle alread.y
Real life Baki
that was shuu's student
Is this for real why did the bottles not shatter?
Baki fans Wya?
... or you could just use a bottle opener... just saying is all.
I came here from Baki lol
Anyone could fucking do that.... go try it
Sakaki? is that you?
@mandag34 If you think that is easy go try it......I saw on one japanesse seminar how karatekas are doing it...it is possible but very hard to do...needs years and years of training!!! after that karateka can do anything...I am talking about traditional karate, not sport karate...OSU!
Sugar bottles.....
good !
@TheFudokan I actually manage to pull it off. But I had to fill the bottles up with water before I did it. I also had to give it a couple of tries to get it. I have done martial arts since I was very young and not only karate but different styles I have really fallen in love with kickboxing and MMA though.
I think it's fake! does any one have slomotion of this trick?
Years after I grow up just to find out his karate is bs saddens my soul
He's not actually slicing the neck off. He's breaking or snapping it off by striking at the top of it.
+Whatatay T but this type of breaking is very tough, i trying to do it but failure is the answer, will you please tell me how can i conditioned my hand.
+suman das Makiwara training should do the trick. Just train to condition your hand and control your breathing when striking.
+RealHumanBean while Fujimoto Sensei does an obscene amount of makiwara training you would be amazed just how incredibly soft his hands are. Having trained with him in person and seeing his hands, the bottom of his hands are probably twice as thick as mine, they are like plates of meat. It would take years of constant conditioning to achieve what he has done.
+Whatatay T let's see you do it if you think this is some cheap parlor trick. Yes the neck is breaking off as a result of hitting it at the top, but give it a go and see how successful you are, hell give it a dozen goes. This takes more than a simple strike to achieve, then try it again with a piece of hardwood and then you will appreciate what is required to knock the top off a bottle. Remember he is breaking two bottle in one flowing motion.
You must become one with the bottle. Practice with an empty bottle and try to slice it off without tipping the bottle over.
nothing more then practice and skills it's a question off speed. same has when they open a champain bottle whit a saber.
Has anyone seen that Taekwondo Master Video? Man that guy is FAST!!! It's Master Joseph Veach. Just type in ******* "Taekwondo Master brakes Whiskey Bottle" *******
HOLY FUCK!
瓶の上を叩いているのに、付け根が綺麗に割れている。ありえない
give me the link...
ok that is real !!!!not like the other video i saw , they are sooooooooooo fake. they glue the bottom of the bottle and braking whitout moving the bottle.
i can knock of the botom of a 2/3 full of watter glass :) i tried this too, but scratched the botle at the botom of the neck with a file, and used gloves hehe, when it doenst break it hurts, but broake it with 3 hits.
Myagi trick over here
well that was a waste of beer
yer seein thing
He reminds me of a asian keanu reeves
nice
If it's called shito-ryu, does that mean there's something wrong with it?
+Jack McGhee No. Shito-Ryu is in the top 5 styles of Japanese Karate. It is perhaps the best and most technical style of karate imho.
+Jack McGhee it is pronounced shtor-roo and as +Stone Crockett said it ranked amongst the best karate styles. The philosophy behind the style is no loss.
It'll defend you, but, it's shito
wow
reminds me of sakaki from kenichi
trick!
