Thank you for the lovely video, Diane. My 2 favorite parts were how you encouraged us to only spend a limited time in each room tidying up. It sounds so basic, but when you're an overwhelmed overachiever, you can never hear this advice too much - lol! I also enjoyed the advice to take a small break at the end as part of self care. Keep up the good work!

Our "cabin" was about the size of your garden toolshed (seen through the windows), but set in a small lawn surrounded by a kitchen garden. I loved doing housework there because it was so straightforward and done in the dawn light to birdsong. It was lovely to see your cabin and to spend some time remembering how ours was. Thank you.

Back in Wales putting one foot in front of another after delay at airport missing a whole night's sleep. I achieved a lot today renewing car insurance and tax ,shopping paperwork and arranging appointments that could not wait until tomorrow. We took the time to have lunch out as there was absolutely nothing in the fridge. It should have been called planning and play day and errand day today but there is still quite a lot of arrangements to be made in the morning . I unpacked suitcases but I have many clothes on hangers in the bedroom. I did not complete my weekly homeblessing but managed a quick hoover around . We are pretty exhausted. Your video today was very welcomed by me and really practical for me. Thank you for yet another great flylady video. I will really miss being close to the sea this summer but am planning to use the local heated lido for swimming. Love from a very tired Margaret in Wales

Lovely second home. The key, as you have shown, that I also do, is to keep clutter down every day. Home keeping shouldn't take longer than 10 to 15 minutes per day. If it does, then you have too much stuff. tfs 💐💐💐💐💐💐

We used to live in France (for two years) and toured all over Europe while there but I never visited Copenhagen. We made it to Belgium and Luxembourg, but for some reason, never went to Denmark! I don't know why! Anyway, seriously, I'm going to come visit you. I want to see Copenhagen. We didn't visit the Netherlands either. :( But we did see many other beautiful places. I'm finally feeling better after my mammoth coldy thing and was thinking...oh my, how do I get everything back under control....so this was EXACTLY what I needed! Thank you ✨💕 . I'm back on the 31 babysteps today (after finishing yesterday!) but am adding in a WHB, so I'm hoping that will cover it, but I know what I miss out today I can do a quick 5 or 10 mins in each room tomorrow and keep putting one foot in front of the other....you wee bathroom so reminded me of my 'wicked' stepmother No.3, Helle, who lived in a beautiful apartment in a very old block in Bronshoj....perfectly formed like yours and with gorgeous aqua mosaic tiles....and a kitchen smaller than your cabin! Happy days, thanks for rekindling wonderful memories😍 . Enjoy your time at the cabin xx

Very good explanation Diane! After a week long vacation and then immediately upon return doing 2 days of food prep for a wedding party my house was ...yikes! I was watching this and thinking it would be chilly to go swimming when it is just in the 60's F..or around 19 degrees Celsius. But then quickly realized, that might feel warm to you :) Growing up, swimming was chilly if it was under 80 degrees F (26 C ).

Phew, last weekend we hosted 35 people and 3 dogs for the family reunion...everyone got a an Airbnb so it was all go all weekend. Now the house needs a flylady cleaning, bit by bit I'm winning. The pool is calling me so have fun everyone, remember they come to see you not the housekeeping.

Thanks Diane, again it was perfect timing and felt like you were talking to me. Like another commenter said my type 3 energy (finally the penny dropped and I realised I am a T3!) makes me burnout. But these days I'm having trouble just getting started. I am doing S&S and LOL but dishes have me overwhelmed. Just cooking and cleaning up 3 meals a day feels like a fulltime job in itself. I know I need to be realistic and pace myself, and will get at least the kitchen tackled tonight. 2 kids birthday parties in our house in the next 2 days and I'm wondering how we will manage!!😂😅

I need somebody to take my house in hand for me, I think. A couple of weeks ago, my son gave us an absolutely enormous television. It's so big that we had to relocate about 3 cubic feet of stuff and I literally have nowhere to put it. Now please understand, decluttering makes me feel terribly anxious due to an incident when I accidentally threw out a necessary legal paper connected to our home mortgage, so now it takes a monumental effort for me to declutter or - heaven help me - reorganize. I didn't even want this thing, but my husband loves it. In fact, he started planning on an even bigger one. To do that, we'd have to get rid of half the furniture out of our living room. 🤯 And please don't tell me to stifle my frustration; that kind of stuff drove me to divorce hubby #1. I wasn't allowed to criticize him, so I finally just walked out. I'm a minimalist by nature; I can't stand a lot of complexity in my environment or feeling like I'm being overpowered by stuff, whether it's the amount or size. Size hasn't ever been a problem before but this giant tv thing makes me feel panicky in the worst kind of way.

I'm so sorry to hear your predicement. I've been gifted things that weren't appropriate and eventually got rid of them. But, since your DH is so thrilled with it, maybe it can be relocated to another place or maybe basement/garage?.You aren't criticizing by stating your opinions. Good luck, God bless.

We have a really big television and it is wall mounted. It sits flat on the wall but can swing out at an angle so that you can see it from different parts of the room.
It did take a bit of getting used to but it freed up space where the old one used to sit.
Hope your DH is Handy with a drill and screwdriver.
