  • Hi, my name is Nicole and welcome to my channel.
    Today's video is an extreme minimalist bathroom tour!
    This is an extreme I feel I can comfortably go for the time being.
    And possibly looks like more because I have about 8 things that is strictly for my toddler that aren't for me.
    Whilst trying to be intentional about the 1 in 1 out rule, I still manage to get gifts Christmas and both our birthdays in the form of bath bombs, shower gels, bath soak, bath salts, body scrubs and more.
    I have hope that there will be less stuff in our bathroom on a daily basis as my toddler grows up!

    Its what a bathroom should be. Clean shiny and bright. Very nice.

    I would have thought from your description that it was an absolute nightmare. It looks like an average, standard bathroom, minus the usual clutter most people seem to want. It’s clean, light and minimal. I love it.

      @extrememinimalism Every time 💪 Us UK YT minimalists gotta stick together ❤️ We're showing that not all minimalist homes are owned or perfectly decorated etc. It's a lifestyle not just an aesthetic and I love watching your videos x

    I'm in a housing association flat in north Manchester. I've lived here 18 years and my bathroom is now 25 years old. Yours is much nicer than mine. Nothing has been upgraded and replaced in my bathroom, except the toilet cistern which stopped working about ten years ago. I love your crisp white tiles. I don't even have a window in my bathroom. The only suggestion I would make is maybe try to put your window sill items on a small tray of some sort to coral them all together. For a busy mum with a little child, I think you are doing amazing!

    Don’t be in such a rush for your toddlers things to be gone. They grow up very fast! One day you’ll think back and wish they were still there ❤

    Did you tried using just the conditioner? It has some cleaning properties too. I used my little ones toothpaste when we were in vacation. Maybe you could find a kids toothpaste that is not so sweet, and you could share it that way to not have two of it. I really like how simple your bathroom is!

      I would use the kids toothpaste if my teeth weren't in bad shape. I will use his or vice versa on overnights or holidays, but daily basis I won't. I'm too precious about making sure he doesn't have bad teeth like mine.

    I think it´s great, it´s everything you need. From your warnings I would have thought it would be way worse.

      Lol, I think I'm too used to seeing either IG bathrooms or people with cleaners etc.

      @@extrememinimalism It´s so easy to compare ourselves with others. But I prefer real. 😃

    I like your bathroom. It's what you need, which is great. Honestly, our bathroom is bigger, but it doesn't need to be , you know.

      Ps.. I've had a lot worse in $300 a week homes. And they were awful!

    I guess it’s cool if this is what you prefer. I don’t think in the grand scheme of things it’s going to matter but hey, what do I know. I’ve done away with using throwaway plastics and I compost, collect rainwater for my plants and stuff and that makes me feel a little bit better. Then you see what China and India are throwing in the ocean, the mounds of clothing discarded from fast fashion and I get discouraged.
    Edit: More sad than discouraged I guess.

    Your bathroom is way nicer than my $350/wk rental in Australia!
    It must be such a relief to have so few items

      It is... but then this week my sister gave me 2 shower gels and today, my mum gave me 3 hand creams. Luckily I do use both very quickly as I give myself daily massages and shower 4-5 days a week. 🤣🥺

    I think it's very important to keep your handwash, and it looks like a nice smelling one, but maybe you'd prefer keeping it in a plain bottle?

    • @extrememinimalism

      Done the whole plain bottle thing, still don't like having it. 🤣

    Its a nice bathroom. Question; what does it mean that something is a council flat or studio? Does it have to do who you rent it from like private vs council?
    Im inspired to give my bathroom an overhaul. We are three people and each have their own stuff. Will see what i can do

    • @extrememinimalism
      @extrememinimalism  Місяць тому +1

      You could try to see if you all liked one of the same product? I guess you don't really need your own thing expect for toothbrushes and then maybe deodorant or stuff like that.

      Council housing is social housing, which is a thing in the UK. Basically, it's for people on really low income, or went through the 'system', and for anyone vulnerable who experiences DV, mental health or physical health issues, or homelessness through no fault of their own.

    • @victorialindblad6673
      @victorialindblad6673 Місяць тому

      @extrememinimalism ah i see. We have similar. It doesn't look bad, but I get being critical or self-conscious about your own space. I am with mine - i feel like I can never make it look nice enough because it's old and worn

    • @susancliff2361

      Personally I would keep everything in the under sink cupboard, if it would be safe with a toddler, and have a plant on the windowsill. Orchids flower for a very long time.
