As a huge Nas fan, this is his tightest work production wise. Also, isn't this what every Nas fan has been asking for, beat wise? We've all said that Nas should work with some more relevant beats. Nas definitely got a gem here. It's in the upper echelon of his discography.

I agree that it was good production on kings Disease. But I got Illmatic, and it was written ahead of it production wise.
Production on those 2 great albums was DJ premier, trackmasters, q-tip, pete rock, large professor, dr Dre, and Havoc from mobb deep. But overall Kings Disease is a pleasant surprise in 2020 with all the garbage out there these days.

Legend has it that NaS and Frank Ocean created a track, which ended up on Lost Tapes 2, and this collaboration is what lead to the NaS and Hitboy union. As HitBoy is great friends with Frank and when he caught wind of the two working together he ask Ocean to introduce them. Ocean didn't hesitate and he made it happen. NaS reached out to HitBoy to help him create a "Valentines Day" themed EP. The first song they created together was " All Bad" with Anderson. PAAK. They then made a few more tracks, then ditched the Valentines theme and created KINGS DISEASE
