      For studio work, and if you need a brighter light, I‘d take the 30c. But since I needed a portable light I took two TL60 and didn’t regret it. If you buy any of these, I‘d be happy if you used the affiliate link in my videodescription. Thanks!

    I think it's worth noting that the Pavotubes are two years old now and don't have an App, whilst the Godox is brand new and has a well thought out working App. Nanlite have now delayed the updated App until the summer which is a pain. However as lead times for all lights are getting longer and longer, my guessing is that Nanlite will release a 2nd Gen Pavotube that'll work with the new phone App. Can't wait for Aputure's RGB Tube lights though..................

I am thinking about buying the nanlight version of its grid/bardoor setup cause i like the construction of it and the flexible barndoor version. What would you say the critical difference is between the GODOX TL 60 and the Yongnuo YN360 [which is a fraction of the price]?

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  3 роки тому

      I've never had the chance to test the YN360 but what I see from other videos, the single LEDs are really visible when you look at the light. The battery is not integrated (which could be a good thing as well). The grip is much bigger than on the GODOX and overall the light looks a bit cheaper (which is important for me because I often use the light as practicals which you see in the shot). But if you're on a budget, the Yongnuo is surely a good alternative

    I was about to chose godox but the one downside you mention, that being worse diffusion is what will probably end up making me choose nanlite instead 😕
    I do product photography with reflective surfaces and I would use these lights to pass them over the product, so the lights arw visible. But I can't have those LED's be a distraction.

      Hi! Thank you for your comment! I've made several videos now with the TL 60 and the diffusion was never a problem. What bracket are you using to have the lights up right.

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  3 роки тому

      I use the normal godox brackets that come with the light. I mount these on a ballhead, which I screw on the lightstand. That way I can move the light in any direction I want.

    Nanlite has a remote sold separately

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  3 роки тому

      Yes, that’s true and I know that. It‘s just that I have about 3-5 lights on set and if I need a separate remote for each of those, it gets complicated

    what is the quick release plate at 3:59?

    • @RonaldKasper

      It‘s the clamp that comes with the Godox TL60

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  2 роки тому +1

      Ah, you mean the plate behind it 😉 that’s just an arca swiss plate on a ballhead. I use the easyrig ballheads at the moment, quite happy with them. The one on the video is a bigger one which is a bit bulkier than the smallrig ballhead. Can’t remember the brand cause I don’t have it anymore.

      Hi! I know, there’s a new remote since a few weeks. But I have 3-5 lights on set and I want to be able to control them from one device instead of carrying around 5 remotes. I think the phone is the best solution for that
