I’ve seen so many reviews but this one was great!! Love the emphasis on the center console storage instead of the 3rd seat. And love the back seat !

I own a 2021 RAM 1500 V6 Crew Cab and love it. I especially enjoy getting 23.1 mpg in town driving. All the storage space inside the cab is great. It's a real keeper for me especially since I do not tow anything. I feel safer driving this because of its size compared to an average sized automobile. Sitting up high is also an asset making it easier to see what's ahead on the road when there is a vehicle directly in front of me not as high. It's also my first RAM truck. I did enjoy my old 2014 F-150 Crew Cab V6 but this is far better when it comes to features.

I have a 23 Ram 1500 with the V6 e-Torque, and I absolutely love it! There are so many cool little details that I’ve never seen in a vehicle before. For example, if you look at the rear cup holders, you will notice a slot that runs between them. That is a place for an iPad so the people in the back can watch movies. On the bottom of the center console lid are a fraction to decimal conversion chart, rulers, etc. The rear storage bins pull out for easy cleaning, which is very nice. But they also have a circle where you can drill a a drain hole. I use that to keep a few drinks on ice, and as the ice melts, the liquid will drain beneath the vehicle. The inserts also have rulers embossed.. I’m not sure why, but maybe if someone wants to keep a couple fish on ice they can measure them? The back headrests both fold down when you have no passengers, which greatly improves the visibility in your rear view mirror. And I think mine has 12 cup holders in the cab… as you said, it is the best interior of any vehicle I ever owned. I love it!

Pedal commander.... makes V6 feel like a V8. Has 32 different settings. Eco, city, sport, and sport plus! No more throttle/pedal lag. Totally different truck now! Sport and sport plus can spin the tires.. I use city +3 all the time. Get this trust me.. no hemi tick and exhaust manifold bolts/studs breaking off and awesome gad mileage... pentastar is the way to go!

I’m glad you like it. I commute in my truck and considered the Ram but it came down to the feel of it for me. I got a 2.7 EcoBoost xl 2wd. I have not had any problems. The Ecos are sensitive to oil not being changed Because of their turbos and I change the oil about every 8000 miles. I don’t do much city driving. I had an oil analysis done and it came back that the engine wasn’t even wearing out considering the miles I have about 82,000 the problem with me with ram isn’t really the engine but it’s the stuff that falls apart with the Rams including the Electronics. However, I am not one to criticize someone else’s needs or wants I will take a little bit of consideration with your comments on the Titan. It doesn’t really have much wrong with it except Nissan seems to not want to actually sell Titans. I don’t know what they’re gonna do about that transmission recall- it will be expensive and they can’t just say we’re going to update the software. I am glad you like your truck. Please give us an update when you hit 50 or 60,000 miles.👍🏻

Great review! I’d like to add that the rear window does in fact serve a good purpose for when you have your other windows open. In my experience, having that rear sliding window open cuts back on the helicopter effect/sound. Also, I don’t experience my hair blowing all over the place lol. As I’m writing this, my Laramie is going on 16 yrs old with 115k miles. Rams are great trucks for sure ❤

I've got a 21 V6 with 150,200 on it rn. I give it a 3.5/5. The fuel pump failed at 40k was warrantied but (costs $1300 parts + labor), then the battery pack behind the back seat failed at 82k. That cost me a whopping $4900 for part and labor. Then the famous tick appeared at 94k. Tore it apart and the rollers and camshaft went out on 1 of 2 cams on passenger side bank. Got a quote from dealership for $6900 because they wanted to do all the cams on both banks and rollers. Told them no and continued driving it. I drove it another 40k before I changed the solo camshaft and rollers. Wasn't cheap. Parts alone $900 simply because each of the 6 special rollers were $105 each plus 6 lash adjusters, along with camshaft. It runs like it did when I first bought it, but Stalatis has failed with the Etorque BS.

Have you experienced the etorque being jerky if you don't let the speed display graphic arc return to zero? If I stop at a stopsign and takeoff approximately 2 seconds or less the truck jerks forward. Feels like being tapped from behind.

I'm interested in purchasing a truck without being biased.
One thing is reliability, and the other is the discipline of the owners doing maintenance to their trucks.
I'm 5'7 and struggle to reach into the beds of half-ton trucks. I like that the Ram offers the Rambox so I can place smaller items on the sides of the bed.
Is the Ram 1500 with the v6 engine a truck you can invest in owning for the next 20+ years?

Yes but no. There's a 24v system generator that charges the 48v ETorque systems start/stop and more. It's attached on the front where an alternator would have been. It's bullshit anyhow. I don't like it

I'm glad everyone likes there V6 seems everyone cares about gas mileage why buy a full size truck if you're worried about gas mileage or cant afford to buy gas? I'm original owner of my gen2 ram which still looks like the day I bought it. It gets 23MPG on highway with cruise set at 70. Also own a 2013 ram hemi also bought new. Personally I could careless about gas mileage. The minute it develops the famous hemi tick I will trade it in for a GM since they are the only ones smart enough to keep V8'S in there trucks. And all the new Dodges look to much like a GM now.
