Great video, you’re a natural on camera! I just bought a 21 bighorn 5.7 e torque and you’re the first to mention a lot of things I haven’t heard from other reviewers. Things I’m discovering also like the weird braking. Still getting used to that. This is my first truck also and I’m loving it, not so much the gas mileage but I guess that’s the price you pay for awesome!
I watched the entire video , never watch whole videos 😅 , I just bought a Big horn 2020 in pristine condition and I’m loving every second of it. Great video!!
Graduations on your new truck. You sound just like I did when I bought my fifth generation Ram I am not doing anything to the exhaust right I put a Flowmaster outlaw muffler. High flow, air filter. Oh yeah, I said I wasn’t gonna do anything to the suspension and then I ended up with 35s lifted it a little bit, but it’s not my daily driver. bought it brand new in 2018 has 65,000 miles on it trouble free and I did the exact same thing to my frame with the rust proofing. I live in Indiana salt belt still looks new underneath. I always change my own oil recommended with the percentage about 8000 miles with Pennzoil. I still love the truck . Bighorn Level 2 LED Headlights and tail lights ..
People are starting to realize how good Rams are. Just sold my 2015, best vehicle my family has had. Waiting for the Hurricane engine to replace the 2015.
My very first truck and it's better than I imagined it could be. The new Hurricane engine looks amazing! I saw the 1000hp crate offering. Mopar is rising! :)
Yes I heard that ram trucks are great. We are thinking about getting a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica for our little family. Which I'm so excited. Our family loves watching your camping videos. How are you liking your popup camper? I grew up camping a lot love it. We just got married 2 years ago brother. Life is awesome. We have a new lake house. The lord blessed us with a beautiful little daughter. I have my own lawn care company. Anyway we love your videos brother. We also have a UA-cam channel. We reach 2,350 subs. I'm a long time subscriber to your channel brother. Blessings brother and safe travels. We are 1 nation under God. Love my nation
I can't speak into the 2017 Pacifica but our 2015 Grand Caravan has been pretty amazing especially since we beat it up pretty good :) I did get the engine rocker arm failure at 130,000 miles but that wouldn't disuade me from buying another one. And yes we do like our popup however it was a lot of work to get it sealed! The factory does not assemble these things very well. But great experiences and memories! Although we're probably going to buy a hardside camper soon. Congratulations on your marriage! God is so good brother. "What God has joined together, let no one separate!" And how wonderful that He has graced you and your wife with the love and care of a child. Truly a blessing. And I am a subscriber to your channel! The Lord provides! God bless the USA! Thanks for your feedback. It's nice to connect with you brother 🙏
@@sstressfl I have a 2019 caravan. I just paid it off still young lol I made mistakes trading cars like crazy haha. Now that I test drove the 2023 ram 1500 lonestar the one with the big screen I want to trade my paid of car in for it🤦♂️. I never owned a truck I’m pretty sure I won’t be towing things and I’m not a contractor etc. I just feel like I want a truck for some reason or a suv like Chevy Tahoe idk. Idk what to know haha I wouldn’t even know where to put the groceries in a truck I would think stuff would roll around in the cab
@@jeangrey2788 oh I understand the effect the Ram can have on you 😎 it’s so nice! But imo, enjoy your paid off caravan for as long as possible! Plus we’re so close to the electrification of cars if you can hold off a few more short years things should be quite different. Keep that van 👍
@@sstressfl I never really thought about getting a electric car tbh. Also you are definitely the first person to tell me to enjoy the paid off caravan haha. I will say it definitely is hard too since I drove that nice truck haha will try my best to fight the itch to trade it in 😂
I am a huge fan of my RAM 1500. I’ve had to replace the front sway bar bushings (cheap and easy), the 12 volt battery, and flush casting sand out of the coolant system. But it still puts a huge smile on my face when I drive it. I follow all of the truck brand Facebook groups. The RAM is still less problematic than the others, even with its known issues. Here are the top 10 common issues with the hemi ram 1500 ua-cam.com/video/b_yE2jUAGoM/v-deo.htmlsi=Xsc3IEKMn-j92GA5
Great 👍 review, very much appreciated and enjoyed, also helpful wife and I also looking into a truck to tow a camper, thank you, all the very best wishes health and happiness. Most comfortable motorcycle, Goldwing all the way.
Thank you 🙏 Goldwings are def comfortable. Trucks are tricky these days. They all have pretty serious vulnerabilities and yet are so expensive. I truly enjoy towing with the RAM. So far so good but time will tell 🙏
You mentioned a 10 speed transmission constantly searching for gears. I just traded in a 2019 Tacoma TRD Off Road that may have had the worst transmission /rear end combo I have ever driven. It was absolutely terrible.
That's too bad :( I like the gears for fuel mileage but they can be finicky transmissions. Too many new things too soon in recent years I guess. Needs to be figured out over time. Plus the covid years didnt help with quality. And poor Toyota getting beat up for all of their on-going build issues with the new generation truck! Consumer Reports put them on the "do not buy list" a few months ago. Really unusual for Toyota.
I had a 2019 Tacoma and got rid of it for the same reason. I was so disappointed with the transmission and the interior seemed a bit outdated. I have a 2021 Big Horn, North edition. I truly enjoy how it performs. At 41 thousand miles it has given me no issues and with several 3 thousand-mile trips under its belt, it has proven its reliability so far.
That’s great to hear. I’ve got 18k on mine now and it’s truly an impressive vehicle. So powerful yet so smooth and quiet when cruising. Towing our 29.5ft camper has been a dream compared to towing with our minivan (we used to pull a heavy pop up camper). Everything is well thought out. Like you, I’m a happy RAM owner 👍😎💪🙏
Great video. My truck is almost identical to yours but it's called a Lone Star. It's equipped just like yours. Same color scheme too. I've had mine for 9 months. I basically use it for long trips and I get around 20 mpg. I'm in California for a 2nd time with it right now. Did you get an extended warranty? I declined to do so but RAM won't leave me alone about it. That kinda makes me nervous. Also... I live in Texas and I'm curious about the stuff you applied to the underside. What's that stuff called? Hope you're still enjoying that truck.
Very cool! I wish my vehicles stayed California clean 😎 It’s an amazing vehicle. BTW the stuff on the underside is called Fluid Film. They sell it at home depot on the shelf here.

We’re having the same experience then 😂 this truck is amazing. Enjoy 👍💪🙏
Bought a 23 bighorn night edition. Quiet cabin smooth ride. Alpine radio is good. Love the looks inside and out. Zero problems…
It’s the most enjoyable to drive 💪👍

How much did it cost to have the factory brake controller installed ?
I was quoted $300 installed at the dealer. A good deal as I later discovered! I did mine myself and spent about the same for parts.
Thanks@@sstressfl
What rear gear diff ratio they give u
3.21 👍
