I’m currently debating on grabbing this watch but wondered if the white dial had any issues with visibility compared to the black dial. I think I prefer the white dial but wanted to ask your opinion (also anyone else that may own one in white)

I bought a 1998 Explorer from a reputable dealer from through ebay; went through authentication and passed. I love the watch! I would buy again! I still would bring it to a trusted watch jeweler/repair take a look at it.

Your shots of the blue dial version convinced me to get one! My wrist and forearm are similar to yours and this is my new favorite automatic. I'm a stickler for accuracy and this runs about 2 seconds a day fast out of the box. I can't regulate my others any better than this. Thanks for the review and great views of the dial.

I have BB 36. In reality the movement is a top grade Sellita Sw200-1. It runs within a few seconds a day and won't cost the earth to service

I have this in blue and I love it. A watch for purists.

I have a BM8180. It's not really a field watch: it has a classic pilot watch dial in a field watch case. My only complaints about the BM8180 concern the stiff strap & highly reflective crystal that makes legibility difficult (I'm used to Promasters which all have an anti-reflective coating on the bottom of the crystal). The strap is easily changed, but the crystal isn't.

$1000K + for an Orient Star is excessive. The Royal Orient watch of yester year probably was a model more worth the premium price. These Orient Stars are more like King Seikos instead of Grand Seikos in comparison to regular Seiko.

Very fair video, one should not forget that you get "Made in Japan" quality for very affordable prices. With the salaries from there and overheads, to get a nice watch like yours under 500$ is a wonder of nature.

Im currently really wanting this watch! I recently discovered Mido.. I know.. I know.. Im a newbie. But my collection is growing. Its easy to go nuts on $100 watches, but Im trying to control myself (although I did buy a Timex Waterbury Peanuts Edition). My currently daily driver is a Heimdallr copy of the Seiko "Monster". Its big, chunky, and makes people say 'what the hell..', I love it. But for the more business or formal events I want a Mido on my arm.

Love MIDO, especially the vintage models. Highly underrated in the U.S. and just a tad below Longines in my opinion. I also think they'd be better off being independent again, they are just stowed away somewhere within the Swatch Group...

I just bought a Seiko from Jomashop about 20 minutes ago, and in grand cart-before-the-horse fashion, came to this video afterwards. Anyway, really informative and measured content. This fella gets right to the point. I had no idea how the grey market worked, just assuming there was something shady about it, pun intended for sure.

I have a 23 Ram 1500 with the V6 e-Torque, and I absolutely love it! There are so many cool little details that I’ve never seen in a vehicle before. For example, if you look at the rear cup holders, you will notice a slot that runs between them. That is a place for an iPad so the people in the back can watch movies. On the bottom of the center console lid are a fraction to decimal conversion chart, rulers, etc. The rear storage bins pull out for easy cleaning, which is very nice. But they also have a circle where you can drill a a drain hole. I use that to keep a few drinks on ice, and as the ice melts, the liquid will drain beneath the vehicle. The inserts also have rulers embossed.. I’m not sure why, but maybe if someone wants to keep a couple fish on ice they can measure them? The back headrests both fold down when you have no passengers, which greatly improves the visibility in your rear view mirror. And I think mine has 12 cup holders in the cab… as you said, it is the best interior of any vehicle I ever owned. I love it!

Well they hire idiots for customer service. That cannot get the description right. Per THEIR terms if it's wrong a full refund will be given. Which I never received. There's a difference between a gold nib and steel fountain pen.

Thank you for the review. Debating between the 36 GMT and the 38 Trident Pro diver in white. I don’t dive but would like to use it for swimming and shower. Is the GMT ok for that? Would prefer a rubber strap and pick up the Badar later to save on customs but that does not appear to be an option right now for a 36 GMT.
