Scott's reunion with Cassie is bittersweet. It's nice that she didn't get snapped away and he found her, but in Ant Man, his big regret was that he'd missed so much of her life while he was in prison, and his big fear was to go back to prison and lose more time of her growing up. And now he lost 5 years of her life again.
IKR? He missed the chance to see her grow up
I haven't seen my daughter in 14 years. I missed her entire childhood, thanks to my former bride. It sucks. Good thing I still got to pay a ton of child support lol.
Tony calling Thor "Lebowski" is even funnier since Jeff Bridges (The Dude himself) played the villain in the first Iron Man movie.
The guy speaking in therapy with Cap is one of the Russo brothers. And the three kids asking Hulk for a pic are the Children of the Russo’s.
@@yourlifeisagreatstory The bald guy in the therapy group who asks Cap how HE is coping is played by Jim Starlin, creator of Thanos, Gamora, Drax, and the concept of the Infinity Stones. (And also Shang-Chi, albeit Cassie hasn't reached that film yet.)
I hope Marvel at least comped Jim a ticket this time. When "Avengers" premiered in 2012, Jim complained that he had to pay his own way into the theater.
And how when Thor first met the Guardians, Drax said "He's not a dude, you're a dude, this is a man!" Then in the next movie, he gets fat and becomes THE Dude😅
@@jasonsimpson1397 Funny! I totally missed that! Good eye & THANKS! 🙂
"You're Lebowski. I'm The Dude" 😎
FYI Nebula actress is famous for being Matt Smiths companion in Doctor Who and being the leading lady in the Jumanji reboot.
Such a great movie, an achievement in collective storytelling and an awesome cap to a decade of movies. One of my favorite interpretations of the original six Avengers at the beginning of the movie is that Steve represents a councilor and the other five are in the five layers of grief.
Nat is in denial, she’s acting as the head of the team, trying to keep another Thanos level event from happening, but also pretending like of she’s vigilant enough, she can make up for the loss.
Clint is angry, taking the loss of his family out on the criminals who survived, trying to funnel his rage into something useful.
Banner has bargained with Hulk and become Smart Hulk. He’s stopped fighting the monster and found the path between, his own failure to stop Thanos as both Hulk and Banner finally forcing him to confront his condition in a less aggressive way.
Thor is exceptionally depressed, he doesn’t even want to hear Thanos’ name and is spending his days drinking and eating himself into the shape he’s gotten into in the subsequent five years.
Tony has reached acceptance, marrying Pepper and raising Morgan. He isn’t (at first) concerned with trying to fix the problem because the problem cannot be solved without a breakthrough.
And finally Steve is trying to bring people back together and face the demons of the past, even though his aren’t quite settled either. He still misses Peggy and has never let her go, yet he still tries to get people to move on themselves.
It’s a theory that has holes, but it’s a fun skeleton to start from.
Wow, I never thought about it from this lens before, but it's a great interpretation!
Lots of reactors/viewers think Tony started his time travel investigation after Cap's visit. When actually he'd been working on it all along. Scott's reemergence helped him figure it out.
To explain the whole time travel aspect of the film and how it works in the MCU. When you travel back in time you create an alternate timeline. So whatever changes made will have zero effect on the present. So in theory you could kill Thano's when he's a baby but once you return to the present day MCU nothing would've changed. You would've just created an alternate timeline where Thano's never came to power but this doesn't re-write the existing history of the Mainline MCU.
Think of the Mainline MCU timeline as a Trunk of a tree. Every time The Avengers went back in time they created a new branch, a divergence in the timeline. Like in 2012 when Loki escaped, Captain America finding out that Bucky is alive, and of course Captain America saying Hail Hydra to the undercover Hydra Shield agents. This would've greatly changed events going forward in the Thor films and Captain America: The Winter Solider.
We also have the alternate 2014 where the Thanos, Nebula, and Gamora come from in this film, not to mention Thanos army and generals. 2014 Nebula along with Thanos and his army all die leaving a 2014 timeline without a Thano's pretty much changing the Guardians of the Galaxy films and the whole Infinity War Saga.
In the comics though Marvel does have alot of differant rules involving time travel depending on the device used. There's examples of Marvel comics changing events such as Days of Future and the original Age of Ultron comic book but these "possible future" are always seen as divergence timelines.
I always wondered what happens in the 2014 timeline that Thanos, his daughters, and army leave behind. Because though Cap returns all the Infinity Stones, including 2014, Thanos & co. vanish from that timeline. And we later learn, that was "allowed" and it was "supposed to happen" according to a certain "Authority".
The Loki series explains it
@@SgtHookhead9910Well, thanks to Loki, we have an answer.
Nothing happened in that timeline, as the TVA would have pruned that Timeline after Cap returned the Stones.
On Nebula: "Who's that actress?"
Karen Gillan. She's an award-winning Scottish actress who became extremely popular alongside Matt Smith on "Doctor Who," and then became well-known to MCU fans here as Nebula. She's also starred in the thriller "Oculus," and co-starred with Duane Johnson in the two recent "Jumanji" films. She's done a whole host of other things, but those would be her most high-profile roles.
Anway, another fantastic reaction. I know I've said it before, but your editor is the best. Love you guys!
Pretty sure the voice she uses as Nebula is her way of losing her accent. Some Brits go with Southern accents, she went breathy. Which is good. Because a Southern Belle Nebula would just be weird.
@@spinynorman887 She's mentioned in an interview that her Nebula voice was Marilynn Monroe mimicing 1970's Clint Eastwood.
@@edgarcia4794 I can see that. Or rather... I can hear that.
A previous portrayer of The Doctor, Christopher Ecclestone, appeared in the MCU as Malekith, the Dark Elf in "Thor: The Dark World".
@@spinynorman887 Of course, some Brits (such as the current Spider-Man, Tom Holland) simply learn how to do American, no tricks involved. Which is good, because a breathy and/or Southern Peter Parker *really* would not work.
I think one of the most tragic lines in the entire MCU is when Thor says, why dont you ask those Asgardians down there how much my help is worth. From future king to losing half their population and losing his first fight twice, and losing half the population of the universe. That is a serious fall from grace
He also lost his father, mother, bestfriend, sister...and not mention his dear brother
Those are people he spent centuires with..not just years.
@@itzmehDevi even his friend from the worrier 4 ( I think that the name). And next Thor film he lost Jane. Give it a few more years the rest of thor friend will die if they are not immortal. That why immortality can be a curse seeing all your love one die
@@deathshadow660 yess..
"The Planck scale" is the point at which the effects of quantum gravity can no longer be ignored in other fundamental interactions, where current calculations and approaches begin to break down, and a means to take account of its impact is necessary.
"The Deutsch proposition" regarding Quantum Mechanics of Time and Multiverse presents a unique perspective on the nature of reality and its underlying principles. It suggests that time is not absolute but emerges as a consequence of quantum processes occurring across multiple universes in the multiverse landscape.
"How to do time travel in real life?"
"Time travel via speed"
This is the easiest and most practical way to time travel into the far future - go really fast. According to Einstein's theory of special relativity, when you travel at speeds approaching the speed of light, time slows down for you relative to the outside world.
But you can't travel in the past and if you travel to the future, you lose too many years in the present. Also, the future becomes your new present as you can't travel to past
@@Anakin_554I've gotten the impression that acceleration is a vector of speed, so if you're ever able to get propelled enough to exceed the break point to going back in time, you inherently pass through the point that time stops for you. As a result, your means of propulsion ceases, and you can then only lose speed. Is that the gist of it? Or are there other reasons?
Seems fuel efficient to go so fast, I guess, since it barely has any relative time to burn. But still kind of a bummer there's a speed cap.
@@Anakin_554Technically, if we ever breached the Light Speed barrier, that would permit backwards time travel.
Quantum physics is particularly complicated in this area
I love how Cap is able to use his brain and his acquired knowledge from the previous films to get Loki's scepter. It shows that he's learned to use more than his fists to solve his problems. He knows about HYDRA secretly working within SHIELD, and he knows that Bucky is still alive and is self-aware of how Bucky is his own trigger. He cleverly uses it all to his advantage.
"But would you be able to rest?" really makes me sad given what Pepper says near the end of the movie.
The opening song was "Dear Mr Fantasy" which was a brilliant choice. It's a plea from the audience, "Dear Mister Fantasy play us a tune, Something to make us all happy, Do anything. Take us out of this gloom..."
And of course it contains the word "snappy" in the lyrics, so that fits as well.
It sounds as though you haven't heard the song and possibly haven't heard the group that recorded it, Traffic. That needs to be rectified, as Traffic is IMO one of the Top 20 musical groups ever.
And is Mr Fantasy a reference to Stan Lee? Arguably his greatest creation, Spider-Man was introduced in Amazing Fantasy #15.
Hi Cristy!😊 Nebula is Scottish actress Karen Gillan. She became well known after being a companion to Doctor Who. Recently she has been in the new Jumanji films. Great reactions to Part 1, looking forward to part 2 tomorrow, Cristy!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏
Awesome reaction! Absolutely LOVE the outro. 😂❤❤
“Put it on his nipple” 😂😂 *dead💀*
Never have I heard that before in an Endgame reaction
Finally. We’re at the Endgame now.
IN the Endgame now, not at! 😂
But would you be able to rest?
Strange had to give the Time Stone away to send a message to the Ancient One or she would never part with it.
The saddest thing about Cassie seeing Scott is that her immediate reaction was probably that everyone was back.
30:49: "Nebula" is played by the excellent Karen Gillan. Yes, her private voice is totally different. She has a YT-page, it says: "Daughter of Thanos. Killer of Men. Fan of fish fingers and custard."
Like PTSD from Infinity War wasn't enough, our girl Cristy gonna get real shook now.
Can’t wait for GOTG3
@@gabriellindstrom5682 Even I had to suppress that. She's not ready for that yet.
"Put it on his nipple" WHAT??!?!🤣🤣🤣
23:45 i think that you missed the point of what they were trying to do, they were not messing or changing time at all, what the goal was to get stones from the past then return them after using them to bring thos who disapeared so no one who is alive will be affected in anyway
Little tid bit of info for you. At this point in time Nebula and Rocket were Avengers for longer than they were Guardians. Also Natasha Romanoff was the longest tenured leader of an Avengers team since she led it in the 5 years during the blip.
I’m glad you knew why Nebula acted so weird during the game with Tony. I’ve seen so many reactions where they never even mention it. It is funny but it’s a lot deeper than a Ha Ha moment. Can’t wait for part 2!
Great reaction to part 1 (as usual). Very funny. I loved at 9:28 your "Weregonnadoitiknowweregonnadoit...." Karen Gillan plays Nebula and she's quite beautiful in real life. You should react to the Jumanji movies- she's a main character in the sequels.
Looking forward to your exciting conclusion.
The character's name is Nebula. The actress who plays her is Karen Gillan. I first saw her in Doctor Who. She's also been in the Jumanji movies. She's a wonderful, ginger, Scottish actor.
8:01 RDJ ad-lobbed the word 'liar' in his rant at Steve. You can really hear the resentment in his voice.
David Deutsch proposed a multi-universe or many-worlds theory as an answer to the grandfather paradox. His many-worlds is similar to the multiverse that Marvel uses.
But he never had a "proposition", that's just wording by the writers. What's technically real is 'David Deutsch’s ‘Many-Worlds Theory and Multiverse Theory’ ' but that's too wordy, so they shortened it in the movie to Deutch Proposition.
Tony is taking about this as something that gets "triggered" which fits with the Loki series and the TVA, but David Deutsch never proposed traveling through time as such, so it's not exactly the same, but referencing Mr. Deutsch is still a nice touch.
Karen Gillan is actually quite pretty. She also played Ruby Roundhouse in the new Jumanji movies. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level. 😅
There are several time travel models, because no one knows how it works. For example, in back to the future, when you change something in the past, you change the future. Theres only 1 timeline which you travel back and forth. The original gets "erased" when you make a change.
In Harry Potter, everthing that happened will always happen. Means when you time travel and "make a change", it had already happened. You just didnt know it had happened.
In MCU, every change you make, creates a branched timeline. Hence, Tony created the GPS so they can navigate back to their original timeline. The timeline branches evertime they take a stone, creating diverging rivers.
If you notice at Tony’s funeral there’s a notable space next to Steve, (presumably nats spot) everyone has their own group, Thor and banner from ragnarok, Bucky Sam Wanda from their civil war post hiding etc. it’s just highly logical but I’ve not been able to get any confirmation from writrrs/directors talking about it right enough. Steve’s entire story was done beautifully.
“I’ll my best”
“That’s why it’s yours” 🤝🏻🫡🥲
Cristy “womansplaining” 6 o’clock was the cutest thing ever 😍
hahahaha it's my way to say "hey i understand this one thing!" lol
It’s part of why your reactions are so good 👍
38:25 "if you ever wondered who would win between Captain America and Captain America, here we have it."
Nope.
I always knew Captain America would win. 100%.
the woman that plays Nebula is Karen Gillan. she is very well known from the show Doctor Who. she is also known from the newer Jumanji movies

"Only having half a glass" "But you're drinking the whole thing." "The half I want is at the bottom." edit: The actress playing Nebula said in a interview that when she was still working out how to play the character the director told her something to the effect of "Talk like Clint Eastwood and move like Marilyn Monroe."
CristyTV is my favorite show!!!!!!!!!! She's such a brave and beautiful soul, and it hurts to see her hurt by movies, but sharing that honest emotion is what this job is all about.

Karen Gillan plays Nebula (Blue Meanie), and also played Amy Pond in Doctor Who.
30:53 Nebula is played by Karen Gillan, she's the red head in "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" and its sequel.
Hawkeye using a sword reminds me that in the '60s comics he was mentored by a villain called the Swordsman.
It's a nod to his stint in the comics when he donned the Ronin mantle.
1:24 That drink actually looks like the classiest Guinness anyone has ever poured.
I told everyone at work that it was the rats that saved everything.
I WATCHED THIS IN THE CINEMA AND THE CARICTOR THAT I GREW TO LOVE WAS THE FRSTVTO GO I PROPER SNOT BALLED MY EYES OUT
30:52 "Who's that actress? And why does she _talk like this?_ No, I know it's part of the character but, like, I don't know if I recognize that charac- that actress."
Ah. Well, her name is Karen Gillan. And I don't blame you for not recognizing her, even if you have, at some point, seen her out of makeup. She's Scottish, stands 5'11" and often has a head of red hair down past her _shoulders._
Great reaction Cristy. What I love most is Nebula and Tony playing a game together..like the first time a father playing a game with his daughter..the first time I think Nebula had a good father bond. Nebula taking care of Tony felt like daughter trying to take care of ailing father too. And to think it was powers or anything grand. It was just one person with brilliant mind finding a solution.
Yay for Cristy FINALLY getting here! 😛
The opening scene with Clint at homer just ripped my heart out. That was so awful and so devastating. But it was used to include his Ronin storyline, which made me happy. And his "Don't give me hope." shows just how broken he is. Heartbreaking and so well portrayed by Renner.
I hate what they did with Captain Marvel. I loved Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel in the comics from the 70s that I read as a kid. She was a great character. Unfortunately MCU Captain Marvel got wedged into the storyline at the last minute in the worst way possible. They never really made her a character but instead just use her as the two-dimensional deus ex machina cheat code to fix any problems. While Wanda was the most powerful in the MCU she wasn't used as a cheat code and instead had her own frailties and foibles that made her a relatable human being with limitations, even if they were often self inflicted. Captain Marvel is a caricature of the over the top superhero with no real personality or emotional impact, and that's just awful writing.
Scott's reunion with Cassie was amazingly wonderful. So nice to see a reunion that hurt for the best reasons. They both played that so well too.
Happy to see smiling Cristy. Too bad it's not gonna last. 😞
That toast to the fallen was very well done and touching. ❤
@4:20 It took me longer than I'd like to admit to realize that playing paper football in the beginning was practice for Tony to later flick Ant-man onto his younger self 😮
I sympathize a lot with Thor... He's suffering severely from PTSD and depression. The anxiety attacks, the stress, the pain can be absolutely crippling.
Clint drop the Hawkeye superhero persona to take up the masked vigilante identity name of Ronin. For the past 5 years Ronin has been killing criminals across the world and Clint did not start his killing spree as Hawkeye to not discredit the avengers name. Natasha I've been the longest reigning leader of the avengers for 5 years straight during the blip. Smart Hulk is Bruce and the hulk's personality merge and the proof of this is when Bruce was a famous world scientist no one really knew what his face look like because he shot away from publicity that's how he was able to stay on the run after he turned into the hulk. But now he's a world famous superhero not because he cares about Fame but the Hulk does after serving as a gladiator champion on the planet saakar.
the tribute in your intro was absolutely adorable

untill today, barton and nat in the spaceship, flying through hyperspace... one of the best little moments for me. This sneaky... We came a long way from Budapest. I mean imagine you and you very best friend in the world end up sitting in a space ship. Thats such a human moment.

I’m not a scientist by any means, but I do study a lot of the theoretical physics and all that. And as of right now, there is no real way of knowing what would happen. But it is confirmed that molecules and atoms are always in a state of change. They are basically solids, gases, and liquids at the same time until you look at them. Like shwoirtinger’s cat.
The Lego Movie: "Everything is awesome."
This movie: "Everything is terrible."
Such a sweet intro Cristy! I loved your toast.
I maintain that the Hulk did not come out during Infinity Wars because he was scared of getting his butt kicked by Thanos again.
I still think it's a nice touch to send Scott to the battle of New York as it relates to Ant man actually being present in the comics for said battle against Loki
AND I HAVE EVERYTIME IV WATCHED IT AND AGAIN NOW WATCHING IT WITH YOU❤❤❤
Loving the use of "great job bruv"! You're now an honorary brit! 😂
You were wondering who played Nebula... if you ever watched Doctor Who during the 11th Doctor's time, she played Amy Pond.
great reaction C..
some notes and trivia:
1. one of the directors, Joe Russo, made a cameo here..he's the one sharing a story on Steve's therapy session..also in that session, the baldy guy in glasses is Jim Starlin, the creator of Thanos in the comics..
2. the kids that asked for picture with Smart-Hulk are kids of the directors..also, Lila, Barton's daughter, is Joe Russo's real-life daughter..
3. the "i love you 3000" line is actually inspired by RDJ's real kids..
4. hehe..the time travel concept here is different..just like Tony's point..its not like "back to the future"..even they went to the past, it will not change the current situation of the world..the time travel concept here is a linear timeline..e.g. Hawkeye2023>Hawkeye2018>Hawkeye2023..thats Hawkeye's timeline..but to the others, Hawkeye goes to the past and return to current in a matter of seconds..nothing changed..its just Hawkeye added Hawkeye2018 moments to his current timeline..
5. Nebula is played by a great and beautiful actress, Karen Gillan..

21:05 Fun Fact: Morgan Stark's line " I love you 3000" was not in the script. The little girl just said the line and they thought it was so pure and tender that they kept it in...not to mention RDJ's reaction (not seen in THIS reaction video) to her line...all natural and genuine.
Cap's character arc--he didn't used to swear and lie. Now he can do both!
Yes! Thank you! Mayo on a hot dog is delicious.
If you go back in time, the past changes due to you being present, so it creates an alternate timeline, while the original timeline stays the same. This way, paradoxes can’t happen.

Yeah you are right
The song at the beginning is "Dear Mr. Fantasy by Traffic." Fantastic song. I remember listening to this song and reading comics wondering when we would see really good versions of the stories I was reading on the big screen.
Cristy, one of the key points of Endgame is that time travel works differently than from most other movies people have seen. In Endgame, time travelers going into the past can't change the timelines they originated from- everything that already happened cannot be changed. Instead, going back and altering events creates new timelines branches, new futures where things can go differently. So me going back in time and killing baby Hitler would create a NEW timeline from that point forward. So in that new timeline the events of WW2 that I know never occur, but in my original timeline nothing changes. All of that history is part of what led to me time traveling in the first place.
The whole time travel/multiverse concept can really hurt the brain if you think about it too much

5:41 Nope! it is not!
25:02 when this came out, I could finally say I had a body like a super-hero! and with my beard and hair and Scandinavian descent, I could have been the body double!
13:02 IDK... I think if the dating pool were halved overnight people might appreciate other more.
Right now I think dating sucks because there is simply too much access... it's too easy to connect, there's too much temptation, and it's coming in from every angle at all times (for women and notably handsome men).
And I think that's why so few people approach dating with genuine intent (outside of hooking up). Because they know if worse come to worst, they can hop back on a dating app or back in their DM's and find a replacement that's just as vapid, unfulfilling, and temporary as whatever they just left.
So while I dislike how things are, I get why things are that way. But with half as many people, connecting would take more work, and that might make people cherish what and who they do find when and/or if they do a bit more.
Also, you realize the Big Lebowski was the very 1st MCU villain in Iron Man 😮.
