Andrew Garfield was the absolute scene stealer whenever he was on screen; but seeing Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker walk through that portal makes my eyes well up every time. That's my Spider-Man!
Tom is the best- that crying scene on the roof shows his great acting ability and being a dancer and gymnast he’s the only one of the three that does his own stunts

The only part of this movie makes me tear up on a rewatch is seeing Andrew catch MJ and see his face of heartbreak that he couldn't do that for Gwen, but also the sense of relief he must get for getting to redeem that and save this Spiderman's Gwen/MJ
Same. Andrew is hands down my favorite Spider-Man and I started with the Tobey movies. Even when Andrew's Spidey was telling MCU Peter about Gwen chokes me up. Garfield is such a class actor. Coincidentally, this movie is my favorite performance from Holland so far. The Aunt May scene is fantastically acted from both actors.
Ned's line of "I'm not going to turn into a supervillain and try to kill you" is for the comic fans. Ned as a character is actually based on another character named Ganke, but he's associated with something else so they used the name Ned Leeds. Ned Leeds in the comic books is a villain by the name of Hobgoblin, which is more or less Green Goblin but with a different name.
As a lifelong Spider-Man fan and someone who started with Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man in the movies this movie is tied with Endgame as my favorite MCU movie.

I saw this in the theater not even on premiere, but a few days after it came out, so I wasn't necessarily expecting that experience but I got it anyway. It was full of very animated shouting youngsters who got hyped up at every major moment, the Daredevil cameo, Doc Ock, Andrew's appearance, even stuff like Norman reciting the scientist meme and shouting out the names of the supervillain silhouettes at the end.
There are so many big strength feet from Spider-Man people miss the smaller shows of strength. Like the fact at the beginning of the movie when Peter closes the window shade and it opens Peter webs it to keep it shut when the news choppers show up he rip the window shade open. Now think about Peters introduction in the civil war film where Peter Webs Tony's arm to his door then having to cut the web loose. Another Spider-Man strength feet actually comes from the goblin when Norman smashes the goblins helmet with one hit now go back to the first Tobey Maguire Spider-Man film where he repeatedly hits the goblin in the head which shows how much Spider-Man holds back in a fight. Spider-man always holds back there are only a few incidents where he shows his full strength. Like when Peter was fighting Thanos in the infinity war film where you see Peter's hits are actually hurting Thanos.
The first time I saw this, I felt like a kid again. Even though I knew beforehand, I still couldn't believe seeing all 3 generations of Spider-Man together.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is my favorite MCU Spider-Man movie. Seeing all the villains and the three Spidermen come together was so epic. Even though there are some people who don't like this movie but to each their own.

When I originally saw this and Andrew and Toby came through the portal, people in the theatre started cheering. I strongly recommend the Spider Verse cartoons. They are also Spider Man, and are just as good as any of the live action movies.
"Norman's on sabbatical honey!" I get chills every time I hear Defoe drop that line. He's such a creepy and awesome villain, we NEED more of him as Green Goblin.
They tried to hide that the other Spider men were in the movie, Andrew Garfield has some great interviews where he is lying and saying he isn't in the movie or that leaked photos of him were photoshopped. A lot of people, I assume, thought they would make a small cameo, but it was still a great moment in the theater, and I think everyone was surprised at how much they were in the movie
I got spoiled _before_ the movie even premiered and I was so distraught I didn't even go to the theatre, waited for a Blu-Ray release. Watching reactions is now my daily second-hand hype fix
I love Love LOVE how you did this, watching all the previous movies before No Way Home. Whenever I watch this I am filled with joy and appreciation for Marvel having the courage to make a film like this, not to mention bringing together so many great actors from so many movies over such a long period of time. It is truly unbelievable, and I love that I live in a world where they could do this. Watching you watch this lets me re-experience the joy of watching this myself the first time and it brings me such joy. THANK YOU Cristy for this wonderful gift. ❤
I saw the first showing of this movie in my town. I swear you could hear the roar across town when Toby finished the great power great responsibility line. My ears were still ringing after the credits.
In the Comics Ned Leeds is is Married to Betty Brant. She is J. Jonah Jameson's secretary in the Sam Raimi's version. The Blond Ned was dating while in Europe in the MCU Spidy film Far From Home. Also in the Comics Ed is kidnapped and Brainwashed into becoming a Villain that tries to kill Spider-Man.
Funny you mentioned NY accents when two of three Spidermen are British. Garfield actually played a New Yorker on Doctor Who when he was really young as well.
I love all the films and the Spider-Verse series, but this one is at the top. I also breakdown when Andrew asks MJ if she’s okay. TM series was fun and more comic style, AG was more action and theatrical, and these are more emotional and storytelling, I can’t help but enjoy them all and this movie is definitely a great one. Glad you enjoyed it!
Many people were AUDIBLY weeping in the theater when all the Spider Men recited "with great power, comes great responsibility"... Then when Andrew's Spider Man saved MJ, redeeming his arc with Gwen, everyone screamed out of joy and sadness all at once... The only comparable reaction I've experienced was with Infinity War and Endgame...
Andrew is also my favorite Spider-Man actor. He was a little on the older side when he was casted, I think, and unfortunately there was some drama behind the scenes after ASM2 was released and he never got a third movie. I just love how his Spider-Man fits the middle sibling energy here! It’s so chaotic and emotional and I love it 😊. I also just love Andrew Garfield in general as an actor and he just really knocks it out of the park this movie
The spell also counters physical evidence of Peter so literally no one can remember him. There was a deleted scene that showed the school yearbook photos and Peter's face is conveniently blocked out in all of them.
I despise trailers anymore. There's no reason for trailers to be minutes long and for there to be so many of them. I've walked out of films thinking I had most of the good moments ruined by trailers.
When they came out the portals my theater got so loud it felt like the room was shaking, it as unreal. Crazy experience. Also there were like 30 people dressed as Spider-man lol
Andrew's spiderman is my favourite . The one who actually made like Spiderman . He talks , walks and fight like a real spiderman . His expression in his suit is unreal . He is the amazing spiderman out of all three . MCU spidermna made "un"-like the spiderman in general . Now he is insignificant for me.
What I like about all the late reactions like these is that there is no "spoiler atmosphere". She just came fresh watching this movie with no prior knowledge regarding trailers and rumors. This makes the reaction much better.
Now Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse for another Spider-Man, Miles Morales, son of an African American father and an Afro-Puerto Rican mother, I think you'll love it.
The trailers were edited to prevent light-MCU followers to not know about Tobey & Andrew were going to show up. They actually removed them from some scenes in the trailers.
Andrew is my favorite spiderman too! I was kinda spoiled on this movie cause people were hypothesizing that the other 2 Spiderman would show up in the movie…but I was able to refresh myself on Andrew Garfield’s movies. I grew up with Tobey’s movies though. Truly a great movie!
well 33:42 it was a really well kept secret. Andrew and Toby had to do things like eat lunches in private, or while in "disguise" like wearing a hoodie and facing the wall. And they did a fantastic job of keeping it a secret. I'd also like to say that your crew is awesome, that was brilliant telling you that if you watched the other movies you could get a better understanding of the characters. I've seen a few reaction videos with similar things where you need to watch some movies before watching the one you are targeting because of cameos and references, which usually gives it away that you'll see someone in that movie. But talking about better understanding the character was a brilliant idea!
Also, if you go back to Captain America: Civil War there is a comment about his Uncle dying about 6 to 9 months before, but with Uncle Ben being the catalyst in the Sony movies, they decided to avoid rehashing the same story in the MCU.
The GED thing is because nobody remembers him, so they don't remember him attending high school, I'm also assuming the magic got rid of all records that Peter Parker ever existed.
I don't get the obsession with knowing peter parker is Spider Man, He helped save the world v Thanos. Everyone knows Steve Rogers is Cap, Tony is Iron Man etc
Steve Rogers doesn’t have anybody close to protect. Tony Stark is a multimillionaire who has built in protection for the people he cares about. Bot to mentions Pepper has almost died multiple times because of Tony’s revealed identity. Both of them also don’t have any lives to protect. Peter Parker is not only smart enough to understand that revealing his identity puts his aunt, love interest and best friend in danger, but also has his life of normalcy to protect such as being a high schooler (or college student). Not only that but he is poor and can’t afford protection 24/7 for his loved ones.
Tony Stark chose to reveal his identity to the world. Steve Rogers cares more about what the suit represents rather that the moniker. Peter Parker is just a kid in high school but is smart enough to know that being a superhero means having enemies that will use anything to hurt him, which includes loved ones. That is the flaw with Tony's ego where he didnt quite think that part through so he literally put a target on him and the people around him.
This Spiderman movie is definitely, by far, my all time favorite Spiderman movie. I remember when I was little and I saw my first live action Spiderman movie back in the 1970's. At the time I thought it was so cool now they're cheesy as hell. Go ahead and look up the 2 live action Spiderman movies from the 70's and you'll see what I mean. When I saw the trailers leading up to the release of this movie, I knew that I had to see this movie at the Theater and I'm glad that I did.
For someone who watched the other spider man films it strikes me as crazy that you keep question why Peter is trying to help these guys they didn’t start out bad and the other Peter didn’t kill sand man he let him go did he not ?
All of the villains were pulled to the MCU right before their deaths. And when they were "sent back", they were NOT sent back to the original versions of their movies. They were sent to alternate timeline versions of it. For example, there's two timeline versions of Spider-Man 2. One where Doc Ock died in the river (the OG version) and one where he lives and is fully cured (the one where this Doc Ock is sent to at the end of the movie)
22:29 Out of all the Marvel characters, Peter Parker is the absolute epitome of good guy, Peter like 99.9% of the time does the good thing. The "baddest" things he's ever done was when MJ was trapped in another dimension he was in a rush to find a way to help her and he basically let nothing stand in his way to the point the govt was looking for him, Cap America caught up to him and Peter beat him to a pulp very quickly like Cap was a normal human... Then another time Kingpin ordered a hit on Aunt May and she was in the hospital and they thought she was going to die, Peter in street clothes went after Kingpin and Iron Man tried to stop him, Peter beat the hell out of Iron Man pretty easily, then got to the prison where Kingpin was being held and in front of everyone with no suit literally broke every bone in Kingpins body literally tortured him and told him he didn't wear his suit because it wasn't spider man doing it to him it was Peter, then promised Kingpin if May died he would be back to finish the job.
God I love this movie so much. I especially love anything to do with Octavius and MJ. I think this movie genuinely has one of Zendaya’s most compelling and least appreciated performances as an actress.
16:00 Like most women, you can't help yourself. G/F: Who's That? G/F: What's he doing? G/F: Where are they going? Me: How bout we both watch and then we will both know?
The marketing gave away that the villains would be in this movie, but they tried to hide Toby and Andrew. There is a pretty funny interview with Andrew trying to deny he was in this movie while marketing another project.
That was a wonderful reaction I'm so glad you liked it To bring To bring all the spider-man together In the MCU. Your expressions were priceless and precious. Thanks again for great content.
Andrew Garfield is my favorite for many reasons but I think they’ve all been great! As far as comic accurate fighting, the only one who did it correctly is Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man
Tom Holland did have something close to the "great power" line in Civil War, when they wanted to avoid re-treading too much ground. "When you can do what I can do but then you don't, and the bad things happen, they happen because of you." There was even mention that Aunt May's husband...presumably Ben...hadn't died all that long ago, so MCU Peter had a similar off-screen experience, though it didn't traumatize him nearly as much. Tony must've left him a boatload of cash, though. Like, actual bags full of it, not a bank account that'd get screwed up by the spell. That gigantic apartment in New York would be really, *really* expensive.
The messed up thing is what this would do to everyone. Happy confirmed he knew spiderman, so then ned and mj would remember spiderman and being friends with Spiderman and he routinely took his mask off so they have partial memories now? So MJ would also remember swinging with Spiderman and that she was dating him but not know he's peter? So now ned and mj are gonna wonder why Spiderman is blowing them off when they were close to him?

So excited for this! Hopefully you enjoyed this one!
Tobey: Older brother
Andrew: Middle brother
Tom: Younger brother
Love the animations at the start! Super cool, did you make them ?
Thanks Adam!! Jorge did 🤩 they’re so cool
Cristy is so beautiful. I'm so glad she share with us.
The big guy, Kingpin, from Hawkeye was also in the Daredevil series.
"They put Cap's shield on the Statue of Liberty?" It was briefly mentioned in the HAWKEYE series. I'm sure a lot of folks missed that. ;)
Juntos pero no revueltos 😂
All of the villains were pulled to the MCU right before their deaths. And when they were "sent back", they were NOT sent back to the original versions of their movies. They were sent to alternate timeline versions of it. For example, there's two timeline versions of Spider-Man 2. One where Doc Ock died in the river (the OG version) and one where he lives and is fully cured (the one where this Doc Ock is sent to at the end of the movie)
Lizard and Sandman never died
@@toadynamite8141 Oops, my bad. I meant to say, the villains who died, were pulled before their deaths. Forgot to add that detail. Sorry.
Christy coming out the gate with the objectively correct Spider-Man movie rankings 👀
Rhino didn't know Peter was Spider-man.
There are some great reactions on youtube of people seeing the other Spider-Men at the theater.
I grew up with Tobey's Spidey and I loved him but Andrew Garfield is my all time favorite ! He is also a very talented actor.
I love Spider-Man no way home
God I love this movie so much. I especially love anything to do with Octavius and MJ. I think this movie genuinely has one of Zendaya’s most compelling and least appreciated performances as an actress.
16:00 Like most women, you can't help yourself.
G/F: Who's That?
G/F: What's he doing?
G/F: Where are they going?
Me: How bout we both watch and then we will both know?
Guess you missed, they did the meme when they were trying to create cures in the lab.
"His smile when he was getting punched? Weirdo..."
Don't kink shame...😢
That was Eddie Brock from the Venom movie in the after credits scene.
Into the Spider-Verse crawled so No Way Home could walk, and No Way Home walked so Across the Spider-Verse could run.
Andrew Garfield is my favorite for many reasons but I think they’ve all been great!
As far as comic accurate fighting, the only one who did it correctly is Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man
I heard a grown man cry when Toby Maguire appeared when i saw this in cinemas
Best Peter Parker = Toby
Best Spider-Man = Andrew
Best combo of both = Tom
When Max Dillon (Electro) mentioned a black Spider-Man, it was a hint of maybe one day seeing Miles Morales in a movie one day, not Venom 😂😂😂
Haha I have no idea who Miles is!
