    I have owned my Instrument 1 since it was introduced back in 2017. I developed arthritis in my right hand and was no longer able to play my violin. I do not play keyboards so being able to use the I1 in Logic Pro and Cubase to play VST violins and other instruments using my violin fingering was wonderful. Creating custom tunings takes it even further. Yes, Bluetooth would be great and yes, the software is sometimes lacking but overall I think this is a great controller and would recommend it for use in your DAW to record MIDI!

    Chorda is the next Gen by Ariphon of a New Instrument 1 that incorporates all the concepts of Orba series and of Instrument 1. Ready to be shipped to peoples Door Steps around early November 2023 as their kickstarter campaign will be ending soon. I pledge to get the early bird price plus kickstarters fee on a chorda to be ship to me in November 2023. Chorda is a highly versatile and unlimited in what it can do and play. Chorda is touted as a true multidimensional Instrument in terms of complicated motions of built in tilt sesnor, Gyro, Accelerometer, Velocity keys due to a 12 Capacitance key pad plus a bridge to strum it like a guitar or like any other instrument for struming and now you can play the chorda like a more advanced Thermin that is an ancient Capacitance driven Synthesizer of 1920 by Léon Theremin. I believe it has built in AI or works off an Algorithm to make your music sound great and help you play like a pro if you are just a beginner and never picked up an instrument or created your own music.

      I excitedly took a look, but can't see any guitar-like features, more like a child's version of a Roli.

    Great video! One more use case is for someone who wants to try to play a little guitar without bothering other people, roommates etc.

    What was not mentioned is that the I1 is also an audio interface. I have yet to encounter a Bluetooth audio interface without serious latency making real time playing difficult.

    Have you seen the modified Artiphon that Kel Smith from Suss Musik and Egret Zero made? He eventually made a 3d printed body for it and does all kinds of strange stuff with it.
    I had one briefly, but returned it. It just wasn't for me/ Very cool though.

    Hello, can you use a pick to to play like a "normal" guitar? Thank you for the video :)

      hello, those six buttons/triggers are rubbery so I don't think you can play it like a guitar. (rhythm I mean) Even if you can, I think it would damage its texture.

    interesting video, one thing I dind't get a feel for is how it works standalone with the built in audio - how does that work? Does it have fixed on board sounds or can you change them? How does it sound through the headphones?

    Nice video. Bluetooth is not going to happen since the latency is inevitable and it kills any real time application.

      Thanks :) true, latency would kill the usability.

    A Fretless version would be interesting.

      You can program it to behave fretless

      Gotta say since commenting that I actually bought one and returned it. The rubber was already perishing right out of the box. Great fun to play and seems like an awesome concept but after 5 mins my fingertips were black and all the strumming bits were fraying. Presumably sat in a warehouse for a while. Anyway sadly I wouldn’t recommend a purchase as all it says to me is that if it doesn’t happen straight away, it will at some point so I think I had a lucky escape.

    Can you play it standing? Can it take a strap?

    • @UmutLutfican
      @UmutLutfican  8 місяців тому

      I think you can play it standing, I mostly held it in my hands. And as I remember, it had strap holes on the top and bottom.

      I found this, for example.

    I have a question.
    1. Is the software on this artiphone instrument 1 continuing to update?
    2. Can artiphone instrument 1 be connected to an external speaker separately?

      @UmutLutfican  Рік тому

      Hi,
      It didn't get an update after this review. (not sure about iPad app though) But its pc app controls the midi interface (how you use keyboard, chords, scales etc.) so I don't know what we can expect from an update.
      It has an headphone jack, you can connect it to an external speaker (but you can also connect laptop etc. to an external speaker, should be the same thing)
