Thoroughly enjoyed your power steering conversion series and look forward to watching your projects…. Great job !
Thank you for this video. I missed out on some details when I rebuilt my center steering link. Great detail and tips.
Thank you for your video. I like the fact you show it the hard parts. Most people cut those parts out and they are like this is so easy. You do this this and that
Then when I try to do the same thing it never goes easy. I have to fight it tooth and nail every step of the way
Love that you show the struggle 👍
thx a lot for your video about this,, its so very helpfull me.
Thank you!
Thanks that was a helpful
Great video Ryan! Rebuilt mine this morning using your video step by step. Any chance you have torque specs for the various parts? Thanks!!!
I don't have the torque specs, the old manuals don't call them out individually.
I always study your videos for guides whenever I need to work on my Cruisers. Thanks for posting. I now have to rebuild my center link. Which puller did you use to remove the arm? I need to buy the correct one to take to Central America where the truck is.
We've got one of the OTC cone style pitman arm pullers.
@@OTRAMM Thanks. That is what I will buy.
Got the OTC puller as you recommended. Rewatched your video and my rebuild went smoothly and all steering play is gone. Thanks for the fantastic video.
If you put a punch through the hole in the cap you can push the plate down.
I'll have to try that.
Thanks for the video! How do you suggest greasing the center arm for maintenance? Because pumping grease can push the rubber seal out.
We just give them a pump or two while watching the seal to make sure it doesn't move.
@@OTRAMM Thank you. I read somewhere (now can't find the source) that taking the lock bolt off the top and then pumping should let the grease exit out the top. Do you think this is advisable?
It would probably work. I've never tried that way
Great job, never put anything together (especially threads) dry - oil/grease is your friend
I just ordered the rebuild kit from Cruiser Corps. I can't seem to find the specs on what grease to use. White Lithium? Moly/Lithium?
You want a heavy moly grease.
@@OTRAMM Thanks!
