If only all that work could really be accomplished in 19 minutes. lol
Slowly coming together, with patience and fortitude.
    Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sean, I am just starting my 5.3 swap in a 74 '40. Have the engine/transmission but haven't started disassembly yet. I already did the Saginaw conversion with the Toyota 2F engine in there. I am worried about the steering shaft clearance with the headers. Mine looks just like yours and yours looks fine. I've seen other builds where they had to add an extra u-joint to move the shaft away from the manifold. I'm getting block hugger headers. I shouldn't have an issue, should I? I'm wondering why some lack the clearance.

Good question, it's going to be close. I didn't have any issue before but I actually do now, watch my next video for details. I'm going to make a new shaft from scratch eventually.

hey what is the part number for that box? im also doing this to my fj40 and seriously no one really goes in detail about the ls swap its kind of a read forums and hope they are right. nothing says about what you will need or have to do. im still going to do it but would be nice to see a video explaining what you need and what needs to be modified.
