Great video! I do not have this box because I have the Rolln'Lock cover. I'm gonna measure twice before I buy either old box and NEATS or the new box for 2024! Thanks!
Lol… man you are about a month too late for me. I actually beat you to finding this one lol… I found this and installed. Works pretty good so far since i got it and I still put the tool box through hell, load it heavily and pulling up stair lol. Thanks for posting for the community!
Yeah dont want to drill through the smaller tubing so raise it up like Vince has done.Just to add for beginners..when drilling through the larger tubing might suggest measuring and using a stop on the drill bit ..also on the plastic as well.Nice Video VCG.
Been looking for a good solution for this. Don't like the sketchy DIY stuff I've seen online. These look pretty legit! Just ordered a pair and gonna try 'em out. My boys will probably order them too if it works out well for me. Thanks!
Just installed my Neat handle release kit today. Super easy, took less than 10-minutes (even though I'm not an expert like Vince 😉), and it works great! Also, adds about 1" to the handle height (because it sits on top of the stopper screws instead of those old screws going into the aluminum handle), which is great for us tall guys! Thanks again for the heads-up on this!
Hello Vince, I’m a new fan boy of Milwaukee products, thanks a lot for your video, I will purchase this adaptor and the old version Packout, here in Montreal, Canada, Merci beaucoup pour les vidéos instructives. Bonne journée
I have the first version of the handle locking pins and those are good but I like this new version and I placed an order for a set, Neat Tools does great work with the designs, I've ordered numerous items from him in the past.
Just wanted this video now at the end of Aug 2024. Saw what milwaukee is coming out for the lower roller box. I am going to wait until it comes out before doing any modifications. It is a drawer box, so you can get tools out without having to remove anything from the top.
@VCG Construction. Vince. Dude! You could've used the clutch on your Milwaukee M12 installation drill driver to make sure you wouldn't strip out those screws. Thanks for the video. I thought Milwaukee had already put out a removable telescoping handle for that rolling tool box?
Dude... you're 3 weeks late with this video!!! SINCE I did not know this kit existed, I took on the task of cutting down my existing handle pieces this past weekend. It's not an easy task, but it is doable in about 2 hours time. It entails cutting both the aluminum handle extension, AND the steel fixed track. Additionally, I had to cut (2) rectangular holes so that collapsible handle indexing system will still work. For anyone crazy enough to try my method, you can safely take 4 1/8" off the handle. Cutting off any more than that will not work! You will end up with a total height of 21 3/8" if you do exactly what I did. The end result fits easily in the bed of my 2015 F-150, underneath my tonneau cover. I will say it was a total PITA to complete the task, but in the end it's well worth it, cost me nothing, and I don't have to remove the handle to get it in my truck. The missing 4" of height is not really missed when rolling around a full stack of packout 'stuff'.
I thought my packout wouldn't fit in the truck bed because I have a tonneau cover. I got lucky it fits with a little extra room. I guess some tonneau covers have more clearance than others.
How are we feeling about the strength of this setup? If you have a full stack you're dragging around, that's a LOT of weight/pressure on the NEAT tabs that are locking the handle in...
Nice tutorial! I realize the 48-22-8427 was not released at the time of this video (roll box that comes with the collapsable handle.) This $40 hack makes sense if you have the 48-22-8426 or 48-22-8427 and need the extra 3 inches to clear the truck bed tonneau or the hatch in the wife's boyfriend's crossover vehicle. Being new to PACKOUT I have 48-22-8427 en route, if only because I don't want to have to figure out a place to store the handle if I were to instead remove it.
So the Neat is 20 dollars cheaper 3 1/2 lower than Milwaukee's new solution and if you do spend the extra $20 on Milwaukee you're stuck with the old handle that's worthless to you now. Seems Neat is the best solution.
I'm not first hand familiar with this problem. I couldn't see any difference with what you did. Edit: After visiting the NEAT webpage I now understand. This is just a quick release for the handle vs having to remove the two OEM screws.
We need a new rolling toolbox with 1 or 2 drawers. It's ridiculous to use this rolling toolbox and have two pull-out drawer boxes sitting on top of it. Can't access the box unless all boxes are removed.
In my book, the Milwaukee Packout 22" chest is a fail. In order to access the contents, you have to unstack everything sitting on top of it. Why would I want that on the bottom of my stack? Fixing the handle mechanism and the wheels is just a half-measure that doesn't effect a root cause issue. No thanks, I'll pass. I chose to build my own wheeled platform and handle underneath a pair of drawer stacks. But, if you've already bought the 22" chest and you need to make the best of that decision...

it all depends on the job you do@@Chase_em_outdoors
I would pay $40 for that kit. Before paying more for a Milwaukee provided solution.
Bonus points for making me laugh with the Clint appearance! 😂
🤣
Great Video! Thanks so much for sharing our Neat Solution!
You bet!
Thank you Vince great video, I pulled the trigger! Keep up the great work man.

I've been pleasantly surprised by NEAT. Their Flex battery holders are fantastic and they take a beating every day at the shop.

Definitely a real naaacie like solution. Well worth the $40.

Thanks Vince, I purchased the kit using your discount code.
Let us know how you like it! 👍🏻
More videos of Vince and the guys showing things like this and testing drivers and bits like the old days, please?
No problemo cuzbo!
Interesting... I have their originall push-pin type system and it works okay. But it's a bit of a pain. This looks a lot better
thxs for sharing order one for here in the uk 👍
Hope you enjoy it!
When is Milwaukee releasing the new pack out rolling toolbox with the new handle? Any idea?
I saw nobody mention it but, when the handle is removed, you can now acces the bottom box without unrack the whole thing!
Thx for the info!
You bet, any time!
Looks great. I'd honestly consider it for $40 just so I don't have to lay it down in my truck bed

Really Neat!
For an extra 20 bucks I would rather have the extra handle because I’ve broken them before.
A friend once told me an expert (x- spret) is a former drip, under pressure
It would be nice to have a storage solution for when the handle is not in place so it isn't bouncing around in the back of the truck
❤ ya vince
Easy for some ppl i know with tools is pure comedy.
For them it's,i know a guy that knows a guy 😂
🤣👊
great clip thank you
No Venice we all ready have a 5/32 drill bit. Everyone should have at least one set of drill bits if not multiple sets of drill bits.
@loripowers8762 good to know
omg that is real Nass like!! Thanks Clint! 🤣🤣🤣

I installed my wrong and one side of the handle is a little more lose than the other
Im wondering when milwaukee is going to release their low profile handle..it said early 2024😢
Vcg on the trt? 🤔

Yo Vince! How ya *dern?* At timestamp 9:08. 😂😂
I wasn't dern so good Dave!
Well, that was a great video. But I have no idea what problem you were solving.
Appreciate you watching!
Great video as always cuz, hey Vince you owe yourself a nice eggplant parmigiana hero fughettaboutit.

Whew! Good thing I don't need a 5/32" drill bit. I ain't got one of those…HEY??? OMG!!!! :-)
Vince when you going to F.L.E.X... love the channel I'm a subscriber
All Flex cuz, thanks for getting subscribed, enjoy the channel!
I saw JackofallTrades showcase this. During his video, someone picks it up and starts swinging it around to showcase durability. 😂
Jake crazy!
They don‘t ship it to Germany. I‘am sad now.
Sorry cuz!
Remember 31/2 years ago when Milwaukee said they were coming out with a handle kit ….
even with the handle removed it wont fit under my bed cover i have to just lay it flat on it's face and slide it in the bed.
Waiting for the new factory handle to be released personally 🤷🏻♂️
🕰️
But yes, Milwaukee already released the new handle, which is smaller.😊😊
That's a negative cuzbo, it's taller, but thanks for watching!
Real nawce like!
Something came over me

I just unscrew the 2 screws.
