Howdy yall, Im glad to see all the enjoyment yall had watching our Texas Revolution series. As I mentioned before, this time period is near and dear to me, so seeing yall enjoy it was extremely worth the time put into it. Before I start my Mexican-American War Series, I do intend to make a video on the Texas Republic to bridge the gap between the two periods as the Republic of Texas is not a well known era between these two fascinating wars. Now that the Texas Revolution complete, expect the Battle of Antietam really soon, the final animations and fixes are being made and will soon be out for yall to enjoy! See yall around!
I’ve been waiting for you to continue the Civil War series for months. By FAR the best synopsis I’ve ever seen or listened to on the war. Please keep making the content!
My 4th GGF was with Houston in San Jacinto. He was also in the battle of Bexar under Captain English as a volunteer. Very happy to see this video and focus upon the causes of the revolution. Great Vid.
I relocated to Texas from Michigan a little while ago. Austin is honestly one of the best places I've ever been. I walk a lot and the trails they have a long the Colorado River are amazing. I moved my company here and I am doing great here. Making more more money, the opportunities here for my little girl are great, she's happier, I'm happier, met a woman, the upside for my construction business is way higher than Ann arbor, everything is great other than the heat lol being a history geek already, I'm trying to learn all I can about the history of Texas and this video is great. I'm embracing the longhorns and the culture. Good bye Michigan, hello Texas
I am amazed by your presentation of these events! I've read several books on the subject, but you provide the clarity I was missing. The interactive map is as vital as the chronological details. Benjamin Milam was my 1st cousin 6X removed from my mother's paternal line. Colonel Jesse Walling fought with Sam Houston the day they captured Santa Ana and he was my 4th great grand uncle from my mother's maternal line. I'll be recommending this channel and this video to my family. Thanks for all you do to bring this history to those of us that love it so much.
I’m proud of my Texan heritage. My great great grandfather moved from Louisiana to fight for Texas’ independence. My Great grandfather fought with Rip Ford during the Civil War. God Bless Texas.
@@trevski9265What a bunch of BS. This is how things have gone for all of history. The native Americans were doing the exact same before Europeans arrived. We were just better at it.
My family on my Mother’s side came to Texas in 1620. They were stone cutters from Portugal who came to Texas to help build the first missions for Spain. They were working a family debt off. My Father’s family came to Texas in 1830 trying to escape the raft of Santa Ana. Both sides of my family fought with the Texian Army at San Jacinto. I am so proud to be a Texan!
Thank you so much for this video!!! I learned so much from it!! As a native Texan they don't teach much about the Twxas revolutionary War. I hope you come out with one about the Mexican American War.
I really like your videos! You have a way of talking about history that makes it even more enjoyable. I also like that you use animations to show how those events have happened. You can read historical sources that describe what happened, but it's even more fascinating to show where approximately it happened with a bird's-eye view(where exactly on the battlefield each regiment was attacking a position, where the troops and artillery where located, where the generals and officers were located compared to their troops during the battle, etc). I know that you're busy with your Civil War and soon Mexican-American War content, but as someone from Quebec who also like your French and Indian War content, I was wondering if you could one day, if you have the time, talk about either the Battle of Quebec (or Plains of Abraham) in 1759 or the Battle of Sainte-Foy in 1760. Of course, it's up to you to decide if you want to do it or not. I'll understand and I won't mind at all if you don't do it. Great video and until next time!
Thank you! I would like to get back to the French and Indian war, since I’ve put it on hold to start and finish my Texas Revolution series, I more focused on continuing our civil war series
