This is one of those Comic Strip episodes that never fails to make me laugh. It's brutal, cruel, hilarious, and just downright awesome. Ade Edmundson really did a great job with this.
The Comic Strip presents for me was pretty much hit and miss and this is one of the better offerings. It's not laugh out funny (anyone looking for that should watch Mr. Jolly Lives Next Door which is simply hilarious) or anything but then satire doesn't necessarily have to be so long as it gets it's point across. The ironic observations about the backlash towards Channel 4's contentious programming in the early 80's is pretty sharp as it is incisive.
Damn, i've always loved this but was it the Comic Strip/Channel Four that started the sh*tty rumors about Burt Reynolds resulting in him being accused of having AIDS? why do that when he was a good guy?
Probably the greatest comic strip episode ever. Said it all about celebrity culture , voyeurism, exploitation. This should be celebrated .
Could not agree more. Comedic gold. You bastards.
"I am NOT a cripple, and I do not believe on self control"
