A few years ago, I was invited to a house party(gathering) by my so-called friend and colleague. I was the only black person there and only knew 2 people, including the one who invited me. They seemed fine in the beginning but all of a sudden the energy changed and one of the girls tried to attack me unprovoked. None of those yt people said anything or even tried to stop her. It was after 3-4am. I was so shaken up and scared. I called for a cab and left straight away. I thank God I got out alive. I learnt to never be the only person of colour in a social setting. Rip to this beautiful lady 😢💔🙏🏽

The part that concerns me is how they INSISTED that she stay the night yet no one wanted to sleep with her and they made her sleep alone. Then they were incredibly rude about her gift and wouldn’t drink it. And then no one wanted to stay up with her yet insisted that she stays the night. They just allowed other people to go home when they wanted to go but begged her to stay???? Something about this feels extremely fishy. Seems like it might’ve been premeditated. Someone was extremely jealous of her and planned this. These were a group of jealous women who plotted on a beautiful woman.

I think it depends. My kids are half white. Hubby is white. So when we do things with his family, my inlaws, or his friends ( all white ) which is a weekly basis im always the only black person. I think it matters more if youre safe or feel uncomfortable. @booginas

They should have just said thank you and then shut up about it. It was probably a very nice bottle of tequila. They acted very classless. (At least the ones picking on the gift and using that tone when talking about it were acting classless IMO. I am not sure about the rest of them)

I don't know if anyone noticed Jeanne's tone of voice when she said, "cause she's the life of the party" at 13:00, but it sounded EXTREMELY vile and like she was making a mockery of Tamla's personality. I found it absolutely abhorrent and it really spoke volumes about her character and views of Tamla as a person.

Even IF (and that is a big if) there is no foul play involved, the lack of compassion, sympathy, and/or concern for this woman is heartbreaking! I don't know this exact group of women, but I now groups of women just like this, and I am so sorry that Tamla ever felt the desire to try to befriend any of them. I will never forget that day!! Or the days to follow! She was an amazing sweetheart!! She lived across the street from me. When her father came he went to the police and asked to see the pictures. He didn’t want to go alone. I went with him. Those pictures tell a whole different story than what the police and these girls say! This has haunted me for years!!

I get what you’re tryna say, but that’s not the way I’d word it. Yes always follow your gut feeling, because as someone with lots of trauma (human trafficking, rape) if I had followed my gut instinct I may of avoided myself of those situations. But also as someone with debilitating social anxiety, my first “instinct” every single day is to tell myself to never leave my house, never see my friends, isolate myself, if I’m in invited to something my first instinct will be to say “no”. There’s a difference between your true gut instinct telling you something, and you wanting to of course not voluntarily put yourself in uncomfortable situation, but then in return that means never stepping out of your comfort zone. And for someone like me, with social anxiety, that can be deadly. Don’t always follow your first instinct, but always follow your true gut instinct that’s not telling you what you do and don’t want to do, but what’s good and bad for you and sometimes life or death for you.

I live in Forsyth and Tamla was my next door neighbor. I’m so glad you covered her case. She would come over to talk to my mom almost everyday just about her life and the other neighbor moms would sometimes join them… she was just always full of life and such a sweet mom to her kids (who are just as sweet). Tamla’s father came to our home and spoke to my parents after her death came out in the news and I just remember hearing the pain in his voice, and just how upset and confused I was. It was so sad having to drive up the street and not see her picking up her kids at the bus stop and walking them down the street. We always shared a wave hello… thank you for shining light of this case Kendall. I think about it all the time. Tamla was the most vibrant energetic woman and what happened to her was NOT fair.

There is NOTHING that says this murder was racially motivated!! It is however plain to see that the lack of investigation was DEFINITELY because she was a black woman! If a white woman was murdered by a group of black women this case would have been solved!!

Whenever someone is face down, and someone finds that person you usually are frantic, but everyone seems cool and without a care, moving slowly , wow! They was full of it, however, what go around come around eventually you get what you sow!
This whole case is really sad and frustrating. Everyone at that party is weird and the way they behaved and how the authorities did as well was a total injustice to Tamla, Lee, and her kids.

Some people smoke when they’re stressed, anxious. Someone else pointed out she stepped out several times to smoke. The times she called her husband in a good mood was possibly to reassure him, and maybe even help her get through the rest of the night. Idk what happened to this woman. It’s possible she could’ve very much fell over, but how everyone else is acting? Idk it’s so weird

Yes, I am a pray-er and a believer. I would pray as I got the phone and called 911. BEFORE going to wake up other people. I would wake them up as I was on the phone.

Your god does not need your first action to be prayer, maybe you were the answer to the person in needs prayers but because you choose not to act they are worse off. It greatly bugs me that the door was left open. Almost like someone knew that it records when it’s opened and closed and wanted to be able to go in and out without it being recorded. My theory is that the owner or her boyfriend went out there offered her the Xanax and attacked her
