Thank you for review. What you prefer, bell srt or LS2 advant? Or other in this price range? Thank you from Brazil

Just out of curiosity I didn't see any follow up review on this helmet. It's very possible I missed it if there is lol but I'm interested to hear what you thought of it after putting some miles on it!

Thanks so much for your comment. I haven’t done a follow-up video. But it’s been my primary helmet I’ve used since making this video. It’s held up great and I still enjoy using it.

I just got one about 2 months ago. Very comfortable but not very quiet.

Thanks so much for your comment. Would you mind sharing what helmet you are coming from that was quieter? Just to give viewers a reference point. Thanks again. Ride safe.

@@UrAvgRider I actually came from an HJC which is usually considered fairly "loud". Both are modular. I find myself having to turn my speakers all the way up in the Bell to hear any music. Going back to comfort, the Bell is night and day more comfortable than the HJC. I have a very oval dome!

I just spent the afternoon working on the new Bell. After tweaking the microphone positions I may have found the issue. The speakers need a great deal of padding behind them to get them close to your ear. Positioning is key. I may have fixed the issue!

Thanks so much for your comment. I don’t have much to compare with, but it is much quieter than my other main helmet. The Icon Variant Pro. Did you catch the audio clips of that comparison? I had the mic inside the helmet.

@@UrAvgRider ... arrived yesterday, direct factory purchase from Bell. I tried it on and it feels very comfortable and securely mildly tight overall, the way it should be. By my head measurement, I was in between medium and large, and I opted for the large, which feels correct. I don't think the medium would have worked for me. I am planning on wearing it around the house to make sure it's comfortable, and will probably frighten the dog. No complaints in terms of fitting so far. I am planning on taking my MSF course when it gets cooler, in October...so I can't give you any review on riding with it, yet. All I can say is that it feels very solid and well-made. For $300 more, I could have had the Shoei modular, but I opted to save money with the Bell. Still kinda pricey though (according to my wife as well!). The real reason I had to have a modular helmet is that I wear prescription eyeglasses, and I can't seem to don a full-face helmet wearing my glasses, or trying to put them on after my helmet is on. I believe I may break my eyeglasses at some point without the modular feature of the helmet. Putting eyeglasses on and off works well with this new Bell modular helmet. I also used a thin synthetic elastic skull cap over my quite bald head before I put the helmet on, which also probably put me firmly in the 'large' helmet category size. It really seems like a slick and nice helmet overall. There is a 30 day return policy. It's helpful to read the entire manual also. A pinlock is available, but somewhat difficult to find where to get one on the internet. England? Australia? Should be dozens of them on Amazon it seems. One type of pinlock I saw was a sun-dimming transitions-type...from England! Nuts! (I'm in Texas!).
I got the white helmet...I want people to see me. Good Luck!

Thank you so very much for your comment. I just can’t bring myself to spending Shoei kind of money on a helmet either. Which is funny because I spend that kind of money on jackets. Do you have a bike already? What will you be riding?

@@UrAvgRider ...I don't have a bike yet. No place to put it; and I want to get my license squared away first. I rode a Kawasaki CSR 305 in the last century...young and unlicensed and totally uneducated about riding in general. This time I'm going about it differently. Slow and wise. Listening to the experienced guys. Doing a lot of listening. We will move in about 3 years and our new house will have 3 garages...room for a bike for sure. Going to start with a small bike and see how I handle it. My dream is ultimately the Triumph Bonneville. I love the look of those old British cafe racer-style bikes. Someday. I will work my way up. Now I'm riding a bicycle actually...to get my sense of balance tuned up before the MSF test in October. That's what the instructors recommend. By the way, I've had my Bell modular helmet on for the past 2 1/2 hours while on the computer, and it feels really good! I'm sure I'll keep it. (My dog is now used to it!). I love just being in the motorcycle culture! Reminds me of the freedom I felt way back in the day...on my Kawasaki.

I love my Bonneville. Great choice. It is my dream bike. My first bike was a Triumph Speedmaster (which I traded in for the Bonneville). And then last fall I bought a Honda CB650F. This bike is a thrill to ride. I hope to be doing a trip to Alaska with it in the next few years.
Riding the bicycle before the MSF is a great idea too.
There are a ton of good choices for bikes. My simple advice is to buy a used bike for cheap to start. Obviously something you would want though. Because even after a few months of riding you will have a much greater idea of what you truly want from a new motorcycle.
