Absolutely love mine, I forget that it on. No fogging issues at all. Great ventilation. I do wish there was a solid chin curtain included as sometimes it gets a little to cool at night. I do a lot of freeway and hwy riding 50% day and 50% nights.
Get a neck gator. Yeah, I know, it's kinda a hassle putting on more gear, but you only use it once in a while and it really does a great job. I'm a daily commuter in Florida, and yes, we get cool enough for about a month out of the year to warrant a gator. I bought a nice Dianese one that's nice and stretchy.
I'd like to see this in a full carbon like the AGV, chin bar included. I'd even carbon the vents, maybe in a matte to show a stylish shading but maintaining carbon fiber. That would also set it aside from being average to heavy in weight. I've been a fan of the Bell fit since they first re-introduced the Bell Star and came out with the R-1. I've owned both a couple times apiece. This flip-up is basically a current Bell Star configuration. If I were to buy this I'd definitely spring for the Transitions face shield. That, plus a drop down sun shade?... Plenty for the brightest sun.
Without reading any of the comments, I felt the need to commend you on getting your review out to us and not wasting our time. Funny how your delivery helped keep my interest. I am a bit jealous that you are able to maintain that level of information flow... Well done... I'll be back!
I’m in the market for a new helmet. The Bell SRT modular is on the top of my list. Anyone hear of Bell updating the SRT Modular? This is a 5yr old design & usually 5yrs is when most companies update their models. I know Shoei just came out with the Neotec 3 to replace the Neotec 2 which came out the same year as this Bell. So I was just wondering if anyone heard anything. Thanks.
Its 4:51am i haven't slept and told myself yesterday im not riding again till i buy a new helmet today! I've stupidly been riding with a 30 year old scull cap or no helmet at all... Never owning a proper street helmet im conflicted on what to get. Iv been thinking a modular because id like full face protection but able to open it up. Riding without a helmet is the best feeling in the world.. Not worth the risk for me anymore with the shitty roads an horrible drivers.
Nice review. Just ordered this helmet. Interested in Comms but don't know anything in terms of what's good, how to install, etc. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Feel free to start with our Bluetooth Buying Guide linked below! Each comm will have plenty of how-to install videos online as well, or you can take it to any RevZilla or CycleGear store to get installed for you. Enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/tC5nJGj_ZX8/v-deo.html
The visor has an anti-fog coating, so it is not a Pinlock system as stock. However, a Pinlock visor and insert are sold as a separate set, which I've linked below. Hope this helps! -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/bell-panovision-pinlock-ready-face-shield *www.revzilla.com/bell-srt-modular-helmets
I truely value your efforts, Anthony, but think slowing down would make your reviews far more useful. Your speed of delivery is difficult to keep up with. That said, I am just about ready to pull the trigger on this helmet and your review had great influence on the decision. Think the world of Revzilla....!
The fits are fairly similar between the two models. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at 877.792.9455 or CS@revzilla.com. Ride safe, -Pat
How does this compare to the neotech? I love the revolver evo but am looking for a new helmet. It's between this one and the shoei neotech but I'm not sure which one is better for the price.
It's a good step up from the Revolver Evo, but the Neotec is still another step up from the SRT Modular. The Neotec is good but very expensive, while the SRT Modular is very affordable. The SRT Modular is the better value. -DrewZilla
Hi!the inner shape of the helmet is the same as the inner of bell star mips?i am asking you because i own a bell star mips iom 2018 and is the only helmet that suits me,but is very noisy. What other helmets have the same inner shape like bell star?full face or modular?thanks!
The SRT Modular and the Star MIPS helmets from Bell both have the same Intermediate Oval shape. I wouldn't be able to list all of the helmets that also have that shape, as it is the most popular internal head shape on the market at the moment. However, most of the helmets on our website will have that shape and will also have it listed on the product page when you visit it. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at cs@revzilla.com or 877.792.9455. Ride safe, -Pat
My Nolan N87 i snot ECE sold in USA, but the exact same helmet sold in EU is ECE, so it is ECE, just not marked that way for USA market. I think it might be the same here.
They just don't put the extra sticker on it. Look up Nolan helmets. They are 100% made in Italy all in-house. There is no separate production line for USA models. Not sure about the BELL in the video, but it could be the same story.
Not really, as you will just get pressure points at the sides of your head due to the wrong interior shape. Trying to fit a Round Oval head into an Intermediate Oval helmet typically only lasts 5-10 minutes before some real pain starts. We would recommend finding the right fit for your head. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at 877.792.9455 or CS@revzilla.com. Ride safe, -Pat

Are you rap singer? New eminem? I can still undestrand you, I don’t know if you go faster than that. Got mine today in white. Hard to fit pinlock without bubbles. The only bad thing is the back holes. No block way for grids. If it’s raining and drive in 3/4 you ll get water. Why mine hasn’t D ring lock system???
It's DOT-only for the US market. Modular helmets won't be Snell-rated. The full-face, non-modular version is Snell-rated (no MIPS or ECE though). -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/bell-srt-phantom-helmet
I have one of these and I regret buying it. Hands down the worst helmet I have ever owned. Im on the break between M and L, so I bought the L and its too small. My ears fold over when I pull it on and the thinner cheek pads I bought - which are hard to find - dont fit the helmet. The chin strap is so far back chokes. This is a disaster all around.
K F I stated, Modular helmets do not get SNELL certificated in the US. smf.org/testing. Modular helmets and those with internal gaps and spaces found on helmets to allow for manual sliding of an internal sun visor will not qualify for a SNELL certification due their inability to mitigate impact to the degree of SNELL’s standards. To be clear..SNELL is about or for the purpose of “track only” certification but a certification given to helmets meeting & passing SNELL’s specific & numerous testing criterion. Furthermore “select” reputable manufacturer’s Street, Cruiser and Off Road helmets are SNELL certified.
I like that they don't waste anytime with annoying music, long intros, and indecision on what they want to say. They jump right in and get the info out there. The term by the way is "catch phrase".

I had the revolver in 2011, it lasted one season @20k miles, the chin bar broke and wouldn't stay up.

Is the visor Anti-fog? I don't see a Pin-lock system. We all know that the "vents" don't really work to defog if you are moving slow in traffic.

How is this helmet with air coming up through the chin curtain area??? I like riding in cooler weather and am also looking for a quiet helmet.

Nice video, can you fit a pin lock to this helmet
Good info!
Hello. If my size in SRT full face helmet is XL should i pick XL also on SRT Modular?
what about glasses wearers
Is this what Harley Davidson put their name on?
I’ve heard of a test that estimates the chance of the modular mechanism opening on a crash, would you guys know that info for this helmet?
Is the airflow in the chin as good as neotec?
The chin vents go directly to the face shield, so the airflow in the chin is slightly less than the Neotec. -DrewZilla

Not ECE rated. This would be my next helmet, if it were ECE.

If a helmet is ECE in Europe and not the US, it may not necessarily be 100% identical. Depends on brand/model, but I would not expect 100% match.
