I recently had a competition on here to win a ticket to the Matthew Williamson S/S 2012 show at the Tate Modern - courtesy of Suqqu, who sponsored the make-up for the show. The winner was also given a backstage pass to hang out with me and my fantastic team. This video gives a taster of what it was like for my winner, Jessica Nash. It also gives a feeling of what the atmosphere was like and a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes. Matthew created an absolutely beautiful collection, hope you enjoy watching this!

I can't imagine that you have time to read these comments, but I want to leave one anyway. Wow!!! You are the only one out here showing a real fashion show, the full look you created, and the process of preparing and conducting the show. You do it in such an informative and humble manner. The models looked amazing, and the new eyeliner color you created is sure to be a trend for years to come. How kind of you for bringing your blog winner to the show, as well. What a dream come true!! Please don't stop making videos. I heard you were contemplating a stop to them due to others copying your work. Even if others admire your videos enough to copy them, there is no one as talented and creative as you are. You are one of a kind.

These are my favorite types of videos - The behind the scene of a runway show. Beautiful look!
first let's start off by saying I'm a huge fan of your work! second your videos are truly second to none! as a makeup artist myself who has done both theatrical makeup and beauty / glamour makeup, but unlike you I find it hard to explain the process to my clients especially to those where my favorites the mother daughter Ann I teach them about what's best for young girls how to apply and skin tone and basic color wheel type stuff just to get started when first delving into makeup. And your videos have helped Mia become a better makeup artist and better communicator with my clients as far as what I'm doing and teaching as I go so that they can use some of these tips, tricks, & etcetera in their everyday routine. Please continue to do what you do and grow and be better and more amazing than you are, which is hard to believe but we're all humans and we can always learn something. Actually that's my motivation for getting up every day is to learn something new! So thank you and keep it up! I would love to meet you in person and pick your brain but that might not happen so the videos work perfectly.

Loved this video!! Loved being able to peer behind the curtain to see what happens before a show starts, how the liner color was mixed, how the makeup is laid out on the table, etc. The video was both incredibly informative AND entertaining. Wonderful! So glad you shared the inspiration behind the makeup. I love your fashion makeup related videos like this, they're amazing. I've worked backstage at shows and it does get SUPER crazy; always the total opposite of what goes on when the models hit the catwalk. Dree is lovely, gorgeous gorgeous girl in person as well. :)
OMG this is so amazing! It's so interesting to take a peek behind the scenes and see and compare the contrast between the show on the runway and all the preparations and the hectic pace backstage. And this was SO cool. The collection was stunning, and the makeup looked incredible. And Matthew seems such a sweetheart.

Thank you for this great video. I was really surpised (although in hindsight I shouldn't have been!) that backstage can be so stressful when the fashion show looks so calm and organised! There's never any hint of the rush and stress in the magazine write-ups!
