Ugh I've watched almost 100% of your videos but I keep going back to them for reference or entertainment because you're so good! You deserve more than a million subs!!!!
Beautiful look. Thank you kindly for taking the time to film. On the weekends I will sit at my vanity and use one of your videos to apply my makeup. My husband finally told me the other day that my makeup appears especially lovelier when I use your "tips". He does not like the "heavy" makeup look that many artists promote on youtube. Therefore, thank you from me and my husband, Lisa. Enjoy your day.
You are so amazing, you honestly teach us with so much respect. And celebrate everyone's individual beauty. I feel so pretty after watching, not the least bit less than.
@silvunich its not a silly question at all! You can use it straight on the eyelids without using anything underneath, this looks gorgeous. You can also use it on top of the cheekbones as a highlighter, on the lips for sheen and combed through eyebrows for hold and shine x
@janmia73 I have my hair done at John Friedas salon in London with a semi permanent every 4-6 weeks. I also have one of their temporary colour glosses for shine sometimes. I dont know what colour it is, I'll ask my colourist next time I go there. This tutorial was filmed the day after I visited... so extra shiny!! x
@Lilacs80 It probably has a different name in the States, I noticed that happens a lot. I'm not sure of a similar shade in L'Oreal....I'm in the US next week I'll have a look x
I loved how at the end the eye shadow seemed to make her eyes look more hazel and how the eyelashes complimented the lift in eye shadow, too. Beautiful job and really cool makeup look.
@stiffaniek I'm not sure which brands you have in Canada exactly but I suggest going to Boots (17, No7, Myface etc), Superdrug (Barry M, Girls Aloud lashes etc) and Selfridges (RMK, Suqqu etc) for a good mixture of drugstore and premium stuff . Having said that, in 8 hours you may not have time to go into central London so Boots in the airport could be your best bet. Have fun! X
@mini0001 I do use glitters around the eyes - you just have to make sure the person doesnt go to bed in them! I also like constructivist as a base for bronze shadow x
@bellaplutt if its making them small, skip the black along the waterline and replace with a pale beige pencil (mac chromagraphics are good) to keep the eye looking very open and wide-eyed x
Haha, in my country it says sth like "kill 2 rabbits with one shot". I know it's been very long time since you wrote this comment, but it s interesting to find out some variants of this saying.
Simply gorgeous!! Lisa, I can't begin to tell you how much I have learned from you, or how grateful I am that an artist of your caliber teaches us! Thank you for helping me to not only look prettier, but also for making me feel a bit braver and more confident when it comes to my makeup!
I did this makeup for an event and I loved it... since I didnt have blackground paint pot I used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in blk and it worked awesome... I couldnt find that shadow but I remembered that ELF had sent me the blk/ silver quad and I used that instead. I received many compliments... thank u for ur wonderful n amazing tutorials! Ur truly an inspiration!
I love how you "slimmed down" the YT makeup world. You always apply just the right amount of product, the contour or blush is never too obviously "drawn on", you have a really light hand, but it is effecive at the same time! Great work.
@edaleinn Laura Mercier make some good eyelid bases. They come in tubes with sponge applicator (similar to their lipglosses) and are available in some very pale shades x
@The23Aquarius I hear what you are saying but solid black is often too harsh. The reason I like that pen particularly is the mix of greys/black etc to give you a feeling of black without being completely flat solid black. Solid black is not present naturally in our colouring so it can look a little severe. Blending well does help though...as you said X
@AmateurBeautyAddict I use it a lot for that and havent had a problem. Everyone is different and some people have very sensitive eyes but in general I've used it on many people without any adverse effects x
This is such a stunning look! Super sultry! Cheryl does look beautiful on the cover, and you look absolutely gorgeous. I used to think that this type of look would take longer to achieve, but I love that you managed to do it in just a few steps.
I love watching your videos! YOU have done such an amazing job teaching me tricks and how to be chic with makeup. Thank you for that. Your gift is for sure teaching women to love their natural beauty and playing it up to make them look even more stunning.
Absolutely phenomenal. Each subsequent video of yours that I see leaves me more and more impressed with your knowledge, excellent taste, and talent in creating makeup looks. Thank you for sharing!
my older sister is a make up artist and looks up to you for inspiration. and yesterday i walked in to her watching your 60's make up look and i loved it! i have been watching all of your videos and i subbed! ;) xoxo thanks so much, Sarah
I Love this look and have wanted to do that amazing messy smokey eye look for ages, unfortunately I've not had the opportunity to wear such a heavy eye make up look in a while, however I plan on doing it for a gig and night out that I'm going on next Saturday. I've already had a practice run and I love it! I don't usually wear very heavy eye looks, so it's quite out there for me but I'm so excited to see what it looks like with my hair and outfit.
Wow! I love this cover shot of Cheryl, and love how you've recreated it here. I know you've posted a separate Valentine's look, but I've used this for my Valentine's night out. I've never managed a fab smokey eye before but this look is perfect for me. Thanks for this (and all your fab) tutorials.
infinite 'like' on this clip, stunning look and you are gorgeous as always, I love the fact that you mix inexpensive products with the high end ones, it just goes to show you don't need to max the card out in order to have lovely looking make up
You have done a really Edgy look on the black smokey eye , I love how you layed on with a powder shadow to give a 3D look .. ( a tip i will be using ) Loved the look and you looked beautiful too ..Thanks for another great video Sarahjane x
Wow. Another fantastic one. You make it look so easy. But it does look like this when you know what you are doing. I have been trying for years to do some dark smudging under the eye but it always makes me look too angry. I'm definitely going to give this one a go. Also it's incredible to see you apply the colour and do the blending for those of us that are a bit clumsier with application. Like watching fine art being created.
You really are my inspiration! I have only just found you on youtube and so so glad i did. That's my night gone as i watch all the other videos. I'm 21 and just finishing an English degree in Manchester, but i have decided to just go with my heart and persue a career in Make-up because it make me so happy and watching a true professional was amazing, it felt similar to hypnosis! I learnt a lot just from this video, please keep it up!! Amazing! xxx
I picked up the L'Oreal Midnight Stars eyeshadow to copy your look and was blown away at how beautiful it looked over the blackground paintpoint....it really is a match made in heaven and definately my new going out look!! :)

I love this look and thank you once againg for showing us a thing or two about makeup. It means so much more coming from a true make up artis like yourself. I see alot of UA-cam gurus here and they do the same technique over and over just with different colors. I have to say you have touch me a lot. thanks you
most girls feel like they can relate more to the younger girls on youtube, it takes a true make up lover to see how amazing you are! keep up the amazing work!

Suqqu need to make more colours of that pen, I have the brown one put I dont feel like its dark enough for me. Thanks for using the paint pot, its opened up a whole new world for me!! It doesnt fall down and that always been my biggest complaint of smokey eye shadows!
I tried this look out thinking I could never pull off such dark eyes but you made it possible Lisa! I love you and all of your videos, I must say you are quite a genius when it comes to make-up
@kimberlysue2287 unfortunately i havent seen anything quite as good as this Japanese one yet - sure its only a matter of time until another brand dupes it though! x
Lisa, you are making Suquu HUGE! A friend will stay in London during march, he already received my "order", 2 suquu eyebrowliners, shade green 01. And of course the No.7 in nude. I agree with a former comment: we are lucky that you take your time.
I FEEL SOOO SPECIAL WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS LISA, KNOWING THAT THE PERSON I AM WATCHING IS JUST CELEBRITY WHO HAVE ALWAYS TIME FOR HER FANS ON UA-cam:-))) LOVE YOU LISA!!! xoxo eva
I really appreciate all the gurus on here who actually know what they're doing- you're looks are always gorgeous! Ugh I've watched almost 100% of your videos but I keep going back to them for reference or entertainment because you're so good! You deserve more than a million subs!!!!
This look is absolutely STUNNING on you...

@silvunich its not a silly question at all! You can use it straight on the eyelids without using anything underneath, this looks gorgeous. You can also use it on top of the cheekbones as a highlighter, on the lips for sheen and combed through eyebrows for hold and shine x
6 years passed and she hasn't changed, aged in for a bit! Amazing
@janmia73 I have my hair done at John Friedas salon in London with a semi permanent every 4-6 weeks. I also have one of their temporary colour glosses for shine sometimes. I dont know what colour it is, I'll ask my colourist next time I go there. This tutorial was filmed the day after I visited... so extra shiny!! x
I could just listen to your voice for the rest of my life
Yeah so relax
So true
@Lilacs80 It probably has a different name in the States, I noticed that happens a lot. I'm not sure of a similar shade in L'Oreal....I'm in the US next week I'll have a look x
You are an amazing real makeup artist. You amaze me and I learn so much from you. Thank you for all that you do.
I loved how at the end the eye shadow seemed to make her eyes look more hazel and how the eyelashes complimented the lift in eye shadow, too. Beautiful job and really cool makeup look.

You´re a great teacher :D
