American healthcare providers ignore the concerns of ppl on Medicaid . They think poorness=ignorant/uneducated women, which is definitely not the case . My daughter's son, my only grandson, died at 15 days old, because the healthcare team didn't take her seriously . There were too many things that should have been seen and discussed, but weren't . My daughter is an educated poor black working mother that was dismissed because of her skin-color, and nobody will ever convince me otherwise . There's plenty of people who appreciate maturity, experience, intellectual work, etc. If you rotate around peak beaty (the kind of beauty that models make a living of) then of course it's not there anymore past a certain age -not the same way-. But I guarantee you -Plenty of mature women are seen as more beautiful, sexy and interesting than younger ones. Including by younger, good looking guys (lots of them in fact). Girls, do not be stupid, do not buy any life hacks from wealthy celebrities, I'm certainly not buying any 'beauty tip from this or any other celeb and, just like I did back in the 90s, I won't buy models are perfect at all. Perfection passing by you in the street every day, just open your eyes and look at it.
I strongly believe that natural beauty and aging gracefully, should be at the forefront of the beauty world. Society is so focused on not aging, to a fault. We're at a place where women in the age range of 40-60 have become undesirable by society. It is such a negative thing. We need to erase that and embrace the process of aging, naturally.

Agreed. I just commented on an insta post made by a surgeon who is about to do some work on a 51 year old who he says already looks stunning. I watched the video and it became abundantly clear to me that she had had a LOT of work done already. I was curious and asked if she had ever had any work done, and a long list of things she had indeed done. Natural beauty trumps all that in my opinion....sorry.
I was an undergrad the same time Christy was at NYU. Even in the dark halls, without makeup and her hair in a pony tail, she was so undeniably striking, gorgeous cheekbones and perfect skin.

Her eyes are more open but then again it makes her face look harsher. She also lost baby fat on her face, but still, I think the eyes are the main reason she looks like a different person. Also, it's her attitude, she doesn't have the sensuality of her younger years, she looks like she has no interest in looking sexy anymore.
Yes she is aging and it shows she has wrinkles some discoloration on her cheeks and we can't see everything from so far but it's normal she is 50 not 20 anymore. And we know she was a model, she has had great skin and obviously takes care of herself. She is aging like any human being and she is aging naturally and beautifully!

The one thing she did not mention but is critical about the death rate of mothers in the USA is that it has a racial component that is undeniable. Women of colour are dying at much higher rates than Caucasian women. That is not a coincidence!

I watch a documentary about supermodels and a very young Christy Turlington behaved as many privileged models do. Not aware of life kicking you down. But after the death of her father, it seemed to have shaken her to the reality of life and she seemed to have taken the right steps and stopped smoking and really taking care of her health and caring of women issues. I believe this is what saved her looks and herself as a person. She wasn't cruel, but if you live that fast life without getting in touch with your inner soul and humanity it starts to show on the surface. There are women in this world who aren't supermodels or famous, but are very at one with earth's spiritual guide and nature's healing property that you can't find in a bottle. These older women are gorgeous and radiant with such a kind spirit. It's nice to see Christy found this in her life which will pass on to her children.🙂💚👍
