I used to watch this a lot when I was little, and when I watch this again, just gives me nostalgia.
I remember this station before the storm. I miss the Rockaways.
The New Yorker Railfan the Rockaways are still existing....
Me and my son are traniacs..we take the LIRR into the city ..many times just to ride the subways and take pictures of them and the,stations.
Thanks. And ummmmm, this is so long ago now, but I'd venture to say mid to late afternoon. That's when most of my railfanning takes place.

Compare the sound of the new tracks to BVE Train Sim...I play openbve, for NYCTA, on an R32, and the motor sound, sounds exactly the same thing as the new tracks on this awesome video.

A train is suppose to be NYC's green alternative to a taxi to get to JFK from Manhattan. The A train actually still uses 50+ year old trains believe it or not, not the ones in this video, these are around 30 years old.
I once took it from JFK, missed my stop because intercom did not work. NYC needs to update trains, even more importantly figure out how to make this route quicker because it is way too slow.
Larry Litmanen You could also take the E to Jamaica and transfer to AirTrain JFK there.

Larry Litmanen I wish they would build subway lines directly to JFK and LaGuardia with station exits right into the terminals. A lot of cities in the world have extended their subways directly to the airports.
