Thank you so much for sharing information saw new friends Oky enjoyid ✊🏿 🐾
Thank you! Glad you could absorb. 🪚
Sven saws are awesome!! I enjoy my 21 inch.
Yes, surprising how well they work. They've been sworn by for many years and still going. I'm glad I have a case for mine now.
Great video my friend, love that setup!👍🌲🌿
Well, I'm glad you came around! Thanks for watching man 💪
@@TheLoreofBushcraft your welcome buddy!
I have that saw.. it's not bad.
I think I need to sharpen my blade though.
Thanks for the video brother
Hi, I was surprised that how well it performed. I love the new case I got for it .
I have a 21" and just put a Bahco dry wood blade on it to give it a try. The greenwood blade with a edge protector slips right inside. Thank you for showing us your saw. Stay safe and stay cool
Hi ya, a laplander blade is a great idea. Does the great thing about saws is that the blades are interchangeable. Cheers
Ironically that's exactly how I carry my 40 year old Sven 21" saw! I also did a paracord wrap on the handle and drilled a hole in the wingnut and did a small orange para lanyard to keep it from getting misplaced in the woods!
Yeah, the new case is great. I always thought they should make one the go along with it. 40 years with the tool, what a great testimonial to its durability!
So how does this saw compare to the silky? Or is there really even a comparison?
Well, a lot of it just comes down to ergonomics. The Sven acts as Bucksaw type device, whilst the Silky preforms as an arborist pruning saw. Both cut exceptionally well, however, the new silky limited edition has been engineered specifically for bushcrafting. More robust and durable than the regular version, there's a special coating to inhibit rusting and perform in stealth, has a coyote composite non-slip handle and the blade can cut through bone as well as wood. I'm glad I have both for variety. I forgot how much I love using this Sven saw and how well it performs.
@@TheLoreofBushcraft thanks for the insight. I know frost River makes good gear but ive never used a saw like that. I have used a buck but not quite like that. I have the outback version silky ordered and waiting for delivery. I'm definitely looking forward to trying it! Keep it up, I love your channel and your choices in gear
Thanks so much! Let me know how you like it
