Lemon Balm is a powerful herb that has been used for thousands of years, with a rich history of calming, uplifting, strengthening and even creating alchemical transformations for those who use it.
At Harmonic Arts we have Lemon Balm in many forms as well as part of a number of tincture and tea blends.

In Greek Melissa means bee. The early bee keepers would rub this on their hives to keep bees healthy and happy and coming back

It has a compound in it that makes it smell just like the queen bee, which keeps the bees feeling secure. Also can be used to lure a swarm of queenless bees into a new hive (if you have a captive queen with no swarm.)

I have just discovered you, and what a blessing. Lemon balm is one of my favorite plants, I have a lovely, large plot in my garden. I am also a beekeeper. I saw someone strip the leaves off of herbs by running the stems through a colander. Zip, all done. The stems are also very good for using on the grill with fish or vegetables to give it a lovely Smoky flavor. On a sad note, I find the music very distracting, and at times I can't quite understand what you're saying because of the music overlay. I would rather hear you and the natural sounds around you than the music.

Another good one. last summer I was working in the garden and got stung on a finger by a wasp. It started burning right away of course but I walked over to the lemon balm plant and grabbed a leaf, mashed it up between my fingers and rubbed it on the sting. The pain dissipated immediately and there never was any swelling. Thank you Lemon Balm.

Lemon Balm is always on my top list of herbs for any permaculture garden. I like to put it a little in the way, like in paths, so that people brush past it in walks. I love to watch their faces about 15 seconds later when they say "whats that smell?" after accidentally brushing it.

My grandfather was a medicine man or herbalist & a doctor too. We used to take. The leaves & chew them. We would squeeze the juice & snort it. Not sure where this came from but the older cousins taught us to. We would sneeze a to & get a huge rush. I have come across so many plants on here we had in Kenya that I had no idea the names or uses. We did use many other herbs & plants though for medicine.
    Thank you always for all.

Making tincture/salves/poultice etc. is not magickal in itself; magick involves spells, various potions made from the items you mentioned, etc. It is the magic that makes it magickal, alone by itself, it is not.

@@wolvenwood When mentioning the magikal purpose of a product I did not use the reference of black magic and never would I. By referencing the magik of a plant, I am referring to the lifeblood in which our God blew into these plants so that we then may use them for healing, sustenance, and refreshing our souls. Not always does a person reference magik and mean the otherworldly satanic entities in which we as humans are forbidden to relate to in order to keep our souls pure in God's light and love.

I absolutely love this herb, i recently began to grow it! I'm diagnosed with hashimoto's, I heard that it can mess with thyroid medication but i still want to add it to a tea.

Be careful as it does interfere with Thyroid hormone in vitro testing. However, they are extracts and can potentially interact differently in the body. Small doses and testing would be advised if you want to use it. Thyroid hormone is very important so make sure you monitor it. I have Hashimoto's so I feel your pain. I stick with Rosemary to calm me down.

Excellent! I have a large patch of this, that some years I dont get around to picking. I think a tincture will be great. It's hard to dry things naturally here in Tennessee. Its hot, but sometimes its like walking under water with humidity

Tincture is the easiest way to work with it, but tea of lemon balm is very tasty too. Well worth drying some if you can.

I never had any problem drying herbs when I lived in TN, but I was up in mountains at 2500 ft. You can get a dehydrator, it works great. Put on low heat for about 8 hrs then check it. A new one is about $50.

LEMON BALM. If I was stranded on an island I think lemon balm and yarrow would be in my kit. I love it and use it for like...everything.

Do you have an herbal book that teaches exactly how to make different “medicines” with all these herbs? I love lemon balm tea.

I wonder why, if you were harvesting these lemon balm from a raspberry patch, why you didn't just pull them from the roots, which come up so easily. I know that the roots spread far beneath the soil, tearing up other balm roots nearby. I wonder if this is why you didn't. Do they tangle amongst the raspberry roots and it would damage them if you pulled the balm roots? I don't know, only imagining, so forgive me if it's a silly question.

I really appreciated this video, the information, the visuals, approach....
I found that the background music was too much filler, leaving no calm spaces ( I did like the music when it was used as an effect)
