This was so interesting to watch and I loved hearing about your thoughts during this process! Aesthetically, I was about 50-50 between the two decks. But when it comes to reading the cards, I prefer neither....I actually love the Marseille style and how those cards speak to me in a reading!

Some of my favorite content in this community on UA-cam is when we share our opinions. There is NEVER a right or wrong way to FEEL about our interests or beliefs. In fact, it gives me insight into the individual person. I have no desire to judge, only learn, and there is truth in each of us, and our vision. I think this is a brilliant video, as most of your content is, in my opinion 😉. Thank you for sharing this ❤ I loved all of your thoughts on these two systems. I might consider this for myself, then after more " seasoning", lol, I might revisit my choices in a year or two.

When I started my study, some years ago, I began with RWS. I am now in my second year of Thoth, and honestly think I prefer Thoth. I've really been enjoying your Thoth videos, along with ALLLLLLL the other myriad of resources. I was kinda playing along with you and knew almost immediately, yeah Thoth is my system. After my next full run of the 78 cards (which is coming up soon 😬), I'll begin my Marseille study. Perhaps I went a bit backwards 🤣

Both systems are the reflect of the golden dawn phylosophy that is a philosophy of war and power. It's why I prefere the Marseille tarot that is the reflect of the neoplatonism philosophy of love.

Great video! I tried working with the Thoth many years ago, and just didn't click with me, probably because it was so different than the RWS. But your passion and enthusiasm makes me want to pick it up again!

How about the overall coherance of the respective decks? Thoth-0 RWS-78, lol. (But I do love the Queen of disks in Thoth)

@@MarleneTheresa I'm not a fan of the 'art' in RWS, either but at least it's cohesive through the whole deck. But I do love the RWS system and many newer deck based on it.
Love your 'Thoth' videos anyway, lol. There is always something new to be learnt... Thank you.

I thought the Thoth moon card was so disjointed. And then I discovered the waves at the bottom were rem sleep waves /brain waves and it changed my lerspective

@@MarleneTheresa yea. It is worth revisiting. It's an extremely interesting card if you can get past the disjointedness it took me a while but now I love it. The cards that are the hardest to bond with are so worth it when ya do. But I'm sure you already know that...
