Thank Dr Newson for sharing your invaluable knowledge and your kindness. The lack of hormones as we get older definitely have effect on our brain. My mum did not take any hormones replacement and was very healthy in general . Non smoker, no alcohol, varied healthy lifestyle. Now over 70 diagnosed with dementia and the rapid deterioration of her brain function and other symptoms is devastating and heartbreaking.
😻😻😻 OK so I always LISTEN to your videos in the background while I work in the kitchen, but today as soon as I heard you say “ that’s my cat”, I had to stop what I was doing and actually WATCH the video. Your cat is gorgeous and so incredibly sweet that I couldn’t focus on what you were saying. I was smiling and chuckling the whole time. Content is excellent as always, but this is by far my favorite video due to your special guest! 😻😻😻
Thank you Dr. Louise Newsome for EVERYTHING you and your team are doing to help so many of us understand the complexities of out hormones. Greatly appreciated!
She's got several vids about brands. Basically, use body-identical, not synthetic. Utrogestan progesterone. Estradiol patches or gel. Testogel testosterone.
Thank you. I hope that prasterone, and E+T combined, will be available for pelvic floor health very soon. I'm in Glasgow, no prasterone on the NHS here. Most women are dependant on the NHS for their prescriptions, and I live in a 'deprived' area, so it's especially important that GPs get on board, and really understand why hormones make such a difference 😊xx
Dr Louise, can you please specify/describe how women with lichen sclerosis have benefited from using Prasterone? It's very expensive here in NZ (shame on Pharmac!), so I need to know how it helps - reduced itching? Unfusing? No tearing of the vulva? Thank you! You're a gem! ❤
I am on evorol Conti patches and take vitamin d magnesium tablets and turmeric with black pepper tablets and optib drink ginger tea and plenty of water and cranberry juice thank you for sharing this video ic every day probiotics plus b twelve ♥️
Your sore breast will disappea mine was the same but within 3/4 weeks they went back to nomal. My doctor said it was nomal for your breasts to be quite tender and not to worry, hope this helps ❤@@gillianmillington7735
I have been on estradiol patch 0.25 but didn’t feel like it was making a difference, my GP up my dosage to 0.50 and within 6 weeks my blood test showed from 200 to 700. I am gaining quite a bit of weight despite lifestyle changes and exercise, it’s more water weight/cellulite on my legs. I have no libido, and my hair started to fall out more than usual. I also have a underactive thyroid and taken thyroxine. What should I do?
I take 400 mg every night of progesterone troche. I take it every nite without skipping . I also take an estradiol patch and use teststadterone cream . I feel like I’m resting a lot of fluid in my body and under eye area. What can I do about this????
Would you count asthma and allergic rhinitis as inflammatory conditions as well? Studies show Hrt might negatively impact lung function and worsen nasal symptoms. I've tried all the bio-identicals but unfortunately started wheezing, then developed a chronic cough and severe throat irritation not related to any virus or bacteria.

This is by far the easiest to understand explanation about hormones that I’ve listened to!

Thank you very much. I'd love more information on hormones and thyroid function and skin or autoimmune conditions.
Thank You for this video. It’s the best one I’ve listened to yet! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you so much for the detail information! Would you be able to make a video on what are the possible reasons why some women can't take HRT?
I love your cat!

Why is it that with the Estridiol patch I’m getting sore breast? Is this something I should be concerned about?

Reduce dose.
Thanks for the info, Doc. (Distracted by cute kitty who wants attention)
I’m on compound estradiol and testosterone 1mg for 5 weeks. Still getting hot flashes is this enough time or do I need more time?

Asthma and allergies often get worse in peri and post menopause.
