This is a nice break from the usual videos on mutes. I don't talk normally till I feel comfortable around people, because I don't like the way I sound and most of the videos on mutes make it out that those that choice not to talk are weirdos and creepy. I just HAVE to comment on this since (as even Vox knows) I never heard Chibi talk. Then we all met at FWA and I was quite shocked. Very fun video~ Glad Chibi went along with this. 💙
I'm a mute because of social anxiety, I'll only ever unmute if I don't feel like using my mute helper (I'm on Resonite, not VRC) I've never had anyone tell me in VR that I have a nice voice but I know from my work in call centers that I do have a soothing voice. I've got a fuzzy decade old memory of making a woman take a full second pause and stammer when I answered the phone super tired one night and it even made ME stop and go "woah, calm down there sultry voice"
I'm ngl...the words that were said in the end of the video literally spoke to me. I'm always mute around people because I'm just so insecure about it, I have always felt that my voice just doesn't match my character, nor my age, or just overall sounds cringe. Until lately, I've been talking a lot more around people and even have started streaming with my voice and I've overall had so many kind people tell me that I have a nice voice and it's honestly made me feel a bit less insecure about the sound of my voice. Overall, it's okay if your voice doesn't match your character, your age, or if u think that it's cringe, if u have wonderful true friends then they won't care about what your voice sounds like, they just care about how u are as a person, so don't be afraid to speak to them, it's okay. ❤
Don’t forget some mute people don’t speak because it’s hard to communicate when you don’t know English and fear of toxicity or you’re extremely socially awkward
so here's the thing about your own voice: the only way you will hear exactly how it sounds is on a recording. the voice you hear in your head is not your actual voice, its reverb from your actual voice that overpowers it. its a natural thing to not like your own voice, because you're not used to it

ive been a mute all the way up to 2021, it was december, nearing the end of the year and i had finally got a microphone, i spoke to birbie, a friend of mine on vrchat and he was really surprised, apparently i sound years older than i actually am.
I’ve never been mute but I know a lot of people like how my voice sounds. One of my best friends told me that I had an edge to my voice that made you listen to every word I say because it always sounded important
So far, only around 3 people know my voice. It took me 2-3 years to open this up to people, and even then it wasn't really my voice. I have a wide uncontrollable range that my voice switches from. Sometimes its super deep and other times its soft, I can't control it and I hate it. It's gone to the point where I don't even know what I sound like.
Every day I log into Vr chat… I put on my go to girl avatar and mute my mic, I go to popular places like the among us map… I make friends with people and spend around a horror with them and then reveal my voice- the amount of screams I’ve heard! and the amount of people questioning their life is insane! I only do this for my own entertainment not in any way to hurt people! It’s just really funny.
Sometimes it’s _also_ because they’re broke and can’t afford a decent microphone/they have a mic but the quality is trash and they want to wait for the prices to go down
I only have about 50% chance to not get kicked the instant I speak from a group that's trying to run Salvation's Edge in Destiny 2. Odds used to be closer to 90%. So, what gives?
Are my ears just ruined to a point of not caring about that anymore? Have the days of ventrilo, mumble and such lowered my bar so much that I literally do not care if your mic is trash, or you have a fan blowing on it or whatever? Also, it's kinda f'ed to walk up to someone and go "just get a new...", You don't know what their monetary situation is. And nagging someone for being in a lesser situation... that's more f'ed than even a broken mic in the ears will ever be.
eh i don’t think “being broke” is a valid excuse when the used market exists. hell, a pair of old drawer-found set of 5$ wired apple earphones would still sound infinitely better than an aging laptop mic for example. and honestly, if you’re playing VR, i don’t think funds are an issue. prices are never going to “go down”. do some comprehensive research and buy good used for cheap.
Im mute because i can't really speak english, and Russian servers are just boring. So I sometimes text in the chatbox, and on super rare occasions I speak in simple phrases. Also foreigners don't always think of Russians very well.
no one expected to chibi talk like that but is also amazing that he can in fact speak a really fluent spanish, ngl is quite dificult find people that speaks multiple languages and also being really fluent in them
I used to hate my voice, but 3 things helped me learn to love my voice (Woke up in ramble mode, have fun!) 1. Earliest was when I used to make a tooooon of videos on youtube. Hated it for a long time for like a few years because it was associated with me (luckily that's not the case anymore). Though slowly overtime I just got used to it. Which means my brain just kinda got bored of hating my voice since I was just around it constantly. Then eventually my emotions learned to love my voice. 2. Later on I started doing voice acting stuff (because I started recording games with toooons of text). I will always prefer making silly/cool voices. Whenever I've done really long things, I've learned to love my voice for being more unique. It's like my voice has it's own unique section that non of these silly/cool voices, or even a narrator voice has. I still gotta go do voice acting lessons, but Undertale & Deltarune have been my most fun times voice acting because those characters have such different and unique designs, and the text is done in a way that you can clearly see there's a way that they talk, so I love it. (Though kinda kills me whenever I see someone not doing voices in those games, I don't blame them since so many games don't give opportunities to do voice acting stuff) This video does kinda make me wanna do voice acting again though. I generally speak in a more higher pitch, kinda soft voice (I assume because I had anxiety for so long, my voice just defaulted to that even though I don't have anxiety anymore). There is one voice that I basically tried to make as deep and gruff as possible, and the few times I've busted it out talking with my VR friends, it shocks them that it's coming from me, and funny if someone is afk, but still listening comes back with confusion just be like "who the heck just joined!?" =p 3. Most recently with VR era. Had massive anxiety when I first started, and a lot of people said I was cute and stuff. I've gotten over that anxiety, but people say I'm cute and all that and it makes me feel good (even though I originally hated it because "guys aren't supposed to be called cute ever" that I was kinda taught growing up). That said once people did that, my brain slowly changed my voice a bit, like if it's subconsciously trying to fit the mold better or something. It's kinda funny that whenever I record something, it might not be a huge difference, but if I've been in VR for a while, I notice my voice will be a lot softer ('course, I talk a lot happier, relaxed and all that good stuff too, so that might have something to do with it. Remember to get rest and socialize every now and then!) Anyways, just gotta say, give compliments to people that feel nervous about their voice. I used to be someone that was like "ah compliments do nothing", but while people should learn to love themselves, giving them compliments really helps with that waaaay more than you might think. (Just uh, don't compliment bad habits too much lol)
Recently, I got a big confidence boost by someone that I really like. He said he likes the way I sound. Finds it nice and soft. And it was coming from someone who has an extremely attractive and lovely voice that everyone likes.
My main language is spanish, i understand and talk english but whenever i speak to someone i suddenly don't understand a single thing they say to me, and i also begin messing up my pronunciation. My mic doesn''t work and i don't have much to talk about, so i often just stay in silence 🗿
Used to be extremely self conscious of my voice. Nowadays, even though i still feel anxious for it, i try to start talking ASAP. Like a social practice. Most people who hear my voice find it either really cute or hot, mainly because of my accent.
Tbh, im also a mute and I rarely use my mic for anything. Its mostly because I have social anxiety and unless I feel safe enough around people, I won't talk. My friends know that im Quebecois and therefore that I have a "unique" accent (according to them, idk why). But they never heard me talking exept one time where I accidently unmuted my mic while I was talking to my sister next to me (in french, obviously). It was kinda fun seeing their reaction when I put my headset back on. ^^'
I think in this case, another reason for being mute can be added:Just not having a damn microphone to speak with, lol. If I didn't have a VR headset, I'd be in that situation rn, because my splitter for my headset is taking forever to arrive
Also, as someone born in Argentina, I think it should say, "Los amo" instead. In Spanish, we make the difference between plural and singular when using "you".
My voice is a little child-like and it makes people take my presence a little less seriously. I'll still use my mic tho, it's just causes anxiety whenever I speak lol.
I don't like my voice and I am not much of a speaker especially in large groups of people but many people have said I have soothing voice which to be fair, makes me be more talkative.
I don't think much of my voice, but I don't hate it. But it certainly surprised me when it was complimented over phone not once, but twice. If I had a nickel-
I hate my voice because when I hear it I always feel like I come off as too aggressive which is the direct opposite of how I want to be seen, so I just opt to not speak
I have to reasons to not reveal my voice or to record my voice to the public is 1. I'm just not ready yet on my channel. Bc, it's a youtuber thing and i want to reveal my voice at a certain sub count (which was so rigged at 1k by bots!) 2. Yes I have been told to not worry what anyone else thinks but i still kinda dislikes my voice. And everyone be saying my voice is deep and I still don't believe that at all.
Oh I know this struggle, but I talk little because I'm afraid I will sound stupid by misspronouncing something in English from it not being my first language. Si... Yo también hablo español... uwu 🇲🇽
“Todos son bien lindos 🥴 Gracias por escucharme 🤭… Familia, compas… Te amo 🫶” (As a Spanish girl, my anxiety blew up when he said te amo instead of os amo)
In the group chat I never join the discord calls. Still studying so living with my family, and I'm shy to bother them with my yapping or the group's humor. Mostly the humor part. My family have dark humor, but I go 9 whole yards beyond. But we meet irl, we know each other and stuff. However with online pals it's quite the same, not wanna bother. And also, I'm more comfortable writting than talking. I'm also spanish normally talking to english, but my voice isnt a daddy kind at all. Now that I think about it I think it's rather average. Never heard of anyone mentioning anything about my voice. Other than someone once said they felt my voice was calming. Which I cant tell if actually true.
Nah I don't speak because depending on what the universe wants, I can either sound like a 12 year old, or a 30 year old smoker with joint pain. My weird accent also comes and goes as it pleases (English isn't my first language)
Just a quick note because it's been pointed out to me, technically the actor in this is speaking LATAM Spanish because of his heritage/family thus the Spanish flag isn't correct. I am aware!

Remember to get rest and socialize every now and then!)
Anyways, just gotta say, give compliments to people that feel nervous about their voice.
Nope. I can confirm that nobody "loves" my voice. At best, they tolerate it.
I just don’t talk an less I’m with friends in vr chat idk why also love how everyone speaks English and the mute on didn’t
That is a really good voice though.
as someone who's been harassed for 20 minutes over my voice i'm NOT my worst critic 😭😭
I'm straight, but that voice making me question that.
Went from cute to feeling targeted 😂
Guau, señor, guau~
Tu guapooo chicooo~
this popped up on my recommended. this feels so targeted lmao
The white fox: 😈 *Instantly Thinks Lewd Thoughts Upon Hearing His Voice*
I have too many people who like my voice, like I think in most peoples heads I’m just saying blah blah blah but in a sexy way…
I think in this case, another reason for being mute can be added:Just not having a damn microphone to speak with, lol. If I didn't have a VR headset, I'd be in that situation rn, because my splitter for my headset is taking forever to arrive
I swear I’ve always kinda hated my voice till I got vr a lot of people say they like my voice because it’s like a deep soothing country narrator voice
love your content X3
pep talk
I'm a ghost in any type of game/server not because of my voice but because I'm literally afraid of talking to people
Also, as someone born in Argentina, I think it should say, "Los amo" instead. In Spanish, we make the difference between plural and singular when using "you".
wrath of the chorizo
Oh
Well I’m going to keep mute because I just like it
My voice is a little child-like and it makes people take my presence a little less seriously. I'll still use my mic tho, it's just causes anxiety whenever I speak lol.
Lo que el bilingualismo te gana
I kind of expecting that ending.
I don't like my voice and I am not much of a speaker especially in large groups of people but many people have said I have soothing voice which to be fair, makes me be more talkative.
I don't think much of my voice, but I don't hate it. But it certainly surprised me when it was complimented over phone not once, but twice.
If I had a nickel-
I hate my voice because when I hear it I always feel like I come off as too aggressive which is the direct opposite of how I want to be seen, so I just opt to not speak
i'm like nr. 5200 letzgoooo really nice message ^^
*Tiny anime girl with deep voice*
amazing haha ! also i see a puter bunny. or ignus . but i know him as puter haha small world for sure ^.^
Well
As a Mexican, I can understand that we can have extremely sexy voices.
I have to reasons to not reveal my voice or to record my voice to the public is 1. I'm just not ready yet on my channel. Bc, it's a youtuber thing and i want to reveal my voice at a certain sub count (which was so rigged at 1k by bots!)
2. Yes I have been told to not worry what anyone else thinks but i still kinda dislikes my voice. And everyone be saying my voice is deep and I still don't believe that at all.
well i usualy do not speek to random persons because i am to old for vrchat)
but with friend we spend hours tallking
Oh I know this struggle, but I talk little because I'm afraid I will sound stupid by misspronouncing something in English from it not being my first language.
Si... Yo también hablo español... uwu 🇲🇽
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was not expecting the Spanish to come out 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh my
That was unexpectedly hot af
“Todos son bien lindos 🥴 Gracias por escucharme 🤭… Familia, compas… Te amo 🫶” (As a Spanish girl, my anxiety blew up when he said te amo instead of os amo)
All my trans girls and bois unite!! It's the truth! Mama loves to hear your voices when you are ready ♥
still is yet to happen 😔
i've always yearned for the communit y that exists in vr chat, yet i've always been to shy to actually go out and find one. Also kids are annoying .
Which I cant tell if actually true.
well i dont talk bc im mute irl lmao
I’m straight but DAMN.
So far I’m a mute user
Nah I don't speak because depending on what the universe wants, I can either sound like a 12 year old, or a 30 year old smoker with joint pain. My weird accent also comes and goes as it pleases (English isn't my first language)
Suena a persona esteriotipada. Viva Cantabria y mi pueblo con 121 personas XD
What a cutiee
Or some people are deaf, that’s also a reason some people mute
