Can you please let us know what the amount and the type of cocoa powder you used in the recipe? You don't have it listed. This is the first video I've seen of yours where you're using a stand mixer. I got excited seeing you do that creaming. I know some might find it odd but I LOVE doing the creaming stage, lol. When I make this I plan to cut it in half and spread a homemade raspberry jam between the layers. Chocolate and raspberry go so good together!! One last thing. Do you have a video where you show us how to cut the parchment paper to fit in a square pan? When I made your cotton soft cake I tried to do it but it didn't work out for me so I had to use two pieces of paper to cover my pan. It worked ok but I would much rather do it the way you do. Technically you can replace eggs with yogurt. I love using yogurt as it's light and well balanced with butter or oil. However, in this recipe, there is a substantial amount of butter, and if you just replace the same amount of eggs with yogurt, the cake will find it hard to rise and will become a dense cake. Hi Patricia. Thanks for your constant support. For almost all the cakes, I would recommend cake flour as it brings it to another level in terms of texture. But of course you can always use all-purpose flour, if for the reason you can't find cake flour, I have a homemade cake flour recipe, very easy recipe. I will put a link here shortly. As for the chocolate, yes I used unsweetened cocoa powder for the reason that the cake already has sugar content in the ingredients. And whether is semisweet or dark chocolate, it all depends on your own preference in taste. Some people think dark chocolate gives a bitter taste. There is no rule dark or semisweet, it's totally up to you. Hope I answered your questions

Yes you can. However, chocolate chip takes longer to melt in heat, so you need to be patient while melting them and make sure they are well melted and not lumpy ☺️
If you are using white chocolate, I would think 80g is enough because white chocolate has more milk content than normal chocolate. Maybe also reduce the milk slightly 30ml instead of 60ml. If you find the batter is very thick after adding the flour and chocolate mixture, just add 1 tbsp of milk at a time until the right consistency shown in the video. Hope this helps 😊

dub doobeedoo I don't see why you couldn't. I've baked her cotton soft cake with peaches and strawberries in an 8in square because I got tired of looking for a 7in. They both came out great. I had asked the question about baking that cake in an 8in a couple of times but never got a reply so like I said, I just went for it. If your pans aren't deep enough just make sure to keep your parchment paper cut a bit higher. That way the cake will have something to climb up on. Hope that made sense. I would suggest that you melt them, just to prevent lumps and even mixing in the batter ☺️
