And a great pianist. What he can do on piano....he's a monster. I majored in piano performance and got a degree in it so I can say about this: even if he didn't major in piano performance in college, I am in awe of his skills. I'm most in awe of how percussive he can make his fingers on the piano.

I'm in agreement with the comment that says it's his irreverence. Although that never stopped Prince from becoming commercial and in his earlier career he was way more filthy than Ben. So who knows? 🤷🏼♀️

Also see youtube Nyro raves by Elton John, Todd Rundgren, Alice Cooper. Joni Mitchell described Nyro as 'holy wine in the bloodstream'.

this song is the epitome of what it feels like the instant you know that your soul has been smashed b y someone for whom you would of given the world to, and as you get more angry and time goes by you realize how petty it really is and you lash out at anything that reminds you of love becouse love is the only emotion strong enough to write a song like this

I would say the radically punk music style and the vicious profanity in every song probably held him back, also made him awesome so go figure.
