The blend of what you’re doing here is extremely impressive. Filming while on the bike, setting up for shoots off the bike, sharing your race story, while also blending in racing and nutrition tips. In a fatigued state! 😮 Absolute top shelf content mate 👌👌👌 (watching on the trainer this morning in 🇦🇺)
Nutrition/eating on the bike is so overlooked by us mere amateurs imo and it gets pricey af. And no I refuse to drink sugar like Jesse 😂 Jasper race videos and you Cam with your takes as RCA on nutrition are always eyes openers.
Really enjoyed the focus on prep. Looking forward to the next. Maybe a different focus? Time will tell. Was wondering re grabbed boiled eggs how you packed them? Were they prepackaged? Did you bother keeping them cool or just ate them regardless? :) Also your music was superb - great beat to power walk on treadmill while watching. How do you find your music? Allez! Regards from BC, Canada
You are one of the best amateur cyclist on you tube, how you manage to race and film a documentary while your in the top ten all on your own is truly amazing, thank you for letting us come on this amazing journey with you as for me and many other social riders can only dream what is must be like being in contention in a top amateur race, you make climbing those mountains with ease and still taking into the camera. Great series keep them coming and good luck in the epic.
I love this series or better documentary. All the details and the awsome efford with the camera and of course on the bike. It´s great. I really enjoyed every second of EP1 and EP2. Can´t wait for EP3.
Your ride content and mix of background music are PERFECT!!!! Thank you for your effort in creating such wonderful, entertaining, and educational content.
I sometimes don't get on this channel for months, then you drop a documentary like your Haute Route ones and I'm absolutely hooked. Stunning effort Jasper, thanks!
My friend, this is spectacular. I showed this to my entire race team to get them to finally understand how absolutely critical nutrition is before during and after an event, such as this, we are in Texas where it routinely reaches 43 Celsius in the summer and their eyes are wide open now at what it takes to Fuel and Hydrate for an event like this…. even at 36°C. Great job.
I appreciate your effort with these videos so much man. Learnt a lot from them and even though I am always motivated and hardly can stop myself, your stuff always gives me that extra motivation. Thank you.
another awesome video. loving the series. that lake view on the Glandon descent was incredible. Mirror glass water; those reflections! Excited for the next in the series
Love this! I had dreams of competing in the Tour de France as a youngster, but my life went in a different direction. I still love riding, and have done some minor racing over the years, but it's great to live vicariously through your adventures as a hardcore cyclist. Thanks for the great content, and good luck!
One of the most comprehensive information regarding food and racing. I believe that the most important part of racing is feeding and water/drinks... I have been a proponent of smart cycling for many years. The "bonk" sucks in any sport... Great work Jasper...
Looks like this is going to be another epic series. Every one is better than the last. Some iconic roads and super impressive power numbers. Great video!
Great ride Jasper. Beautiful is right the scenery is so picturesque. I've ridden Glandon both ways a few times from Bourg d'Osians and the other way from the Madeleine. Definitely rides to remember. Thanks for sharing your rides.
Great job on a very hard day! The neutral ride to the timed sector was pretty crazy with over 400 riders, but I think they said there were already 25 abandonné after stage 1. This was about an 8 hour ride for me. There was no lunch at the time I finished but I found a super Pad Thai restaurant before the evening riders brief 😂
Great video series Jasper👏. I see you're riding HYPER D45 this year. What benefit / difference compared to D33 ? I thought with such climb, lighter D33 would be more appropriate ? Thanks for your answer🙏
This is some fantastic content Jasper, very impressive that you can do the filming, storytelling and cycling! I can’t wait to watch each episode, it should be on Netflix.
Hi Jasper, these types are your best videos, love them, really looking forwards to tomorrows episode as the col de sarenne is a great climb. Can I ask how you mount the camera you have on the front of your bike? cheers
The work and footage you put out of the races is incredible and I never miss a video. Thank you for the time you spend on this and don't ever get tired of it because it's amazing! One day I hope you come to Portugal to do a Granfondo :)
That BH is a pretty bike. A bit different without being ugly. Nice.... Skied all over this area over a 30 year period. Cycling it though, ha ha, forget it.
Great stuff as usual Jasper!! What do you use for your on ride filming? Is it just the camera or do you have a stick? The climb to Villard-Reculas is one of my favourite climbs. It is a tough on but the views in the hamlet are amazing.
Glandon just never ends!! I went down that side. Took a while before I was all the way down, did Lacey's de montvernier and croix de fer after. Very beautiful area❤
Hello Jasper: Great series as always; 2 questions; (1) how many riders took place; (2) what percentage of the total number of riders are racing and what percentage are just there to finish the stages and immerse themselves in the experience?
this is what i needed , i had a mega dip from training and cant fint the moyo but after watching this im like fuk yeah letsssss goooo thnx for reigniting to have some to work towards to.
Echt weer geweldig die beelden, zelfs de vliegen waren te zien. Ook de tips zijn nutig, thx. Ik ga ook een siliconen cakevorm meenemen om uit te eten ! 😂
