Thank you for this great film. I'm sure you will forever be thankful to have your struggles and happy moments documented in such a unique way. For me, this is very motivating and emotional!
You are a hero! Always keep beginning. You have inspired me and many others. It's the quiet victories that will keep you filled in the days/nights ahead with friends and family. As a good Greek god and hero once told me (Yiannis Kouros), quoting a Greek proverb "We are like olives. Only when we are crushed, do we give our best". Congrats.
Absolutely superb ride! Really appreciate the extra effort you took to both record as you went, and to edit in your reflections once it was over. It was tough to see you struggling, but somehow I knew you would ace that last day. Yours is one dot I will look forward to watching. Congratulations!
Well done! Finishing the TCR in such a short time and then also filming along! The edit is nice as well, thanks for putting in the work! I also never thought about that if you don't have hills in your area, your also have no change to practice descending...
Congratulations and absolute respect. I know how difficult it is to put a video together on a long ride but over 11 days - Wow! The detail, insight and emotion is so valuable. Again, thank you.
Respect,it takes a lot of balls to do this type of rides. Me personaly will never do it like that,I will always take a day of rest every two days to give my body the chance to recover!
I have also done Tauern and Katschberg as we hat Snow on the Großglockner and what should I say. it was the toughtest "fun" that I ever had.. Love the movie!
Nice ride Davis. I was a few hours behind you the whole journey, finished about 20 hours after you, as I decided to stop for the night in Sakarya before the final parcours (avoiding the 19% climb). Interestingly, for me, the first 3 days were hardest, I got progressively stronger as the ride went on .... although that chipsill road with a headwind between Biga and Gonen was pretty awful - I rode it in the evening, and there were clouds of flys which made it even worse
I just had a look, I did 2150km in the first half and 2037km in the second half - so close. The only reason it wasn't is because I did 570km on the first day. If I had pushed through the last night rather than stopping at Sakarya it would have been a Neg split
Hi Davis, you probably don‘t remember me. I was cheering at you at the beginning of the 2nd day as you were passing my home village. It was a brief but very memorable moment for me. Great respect you made it to Istanbul just 10 days later.
Forši, pat vēl pilnībā nenoskatījos. ~34:00 - ja vēl pilnībā neaizmirsu fiziku, tad arī pie temperatūrām >36.6C strādā evaporative cooling - vajag samitrināt drēbes/muguru/galvu ar ūdeni.
Hi Davis, what a journey, congrats! My home region is also really flat, so I'm very curious to hear how you trained for the TCR's elevation. Would you mind sharing?
Amazing video!! I'm an absolute novice compared to you but is your helmet right enough haha?! Not sure it'd protect you in an accident as it would slide off slightly leaving your head exposed. No drama if you just loosen it when you record or something - just looking out for you bud, keep it up! 🙌🏻
I check and service everything before important races. All bearings, bottom bracket, casette. As well as put on a new chain, tires and brake pads. It really makes a difference.

Thanks! By any chance, did you manage to negative split TCR? That would be pretty epic.

Bravo, du respect pour toi Davis, je vien du Prizren et je sais que il fait très chaud. Mais plus que 4000km pour 12 jours, chapeau à toi 🙌

Thanks! Mostly commuting on a single speed bike. For me that’s 30min/day of mostly low cadence. Sometimes did low cadence intervals during training.
4100 km in one year is exceptional performance... ^.^
My respect!
Amazing video!! I'm an absolute novice compared to you but is your helmet right enough haha?!

😍😍😍😍
You survied all these gravel parts on a road bike without a defect? You can be really happy!

Heat adjustment is not brain damage unless you actually have a stroke 😅
