    The way I see it, you rescued a plant that had been poorly cared for. Well done.

    You mention watering the new cuttings about once a week. Is that general guidance for new cuttings? Or just for these echeverias?

    • @Succulentsandsunshine
      @Succulentsandsunshine  Місяць тому +1

      I water all my cuttings that often unless they had some sort of problem (over or under watered) before cutting.

    What kind of mix are you using to pot them

      It's a gritty soil mix. You can get the details here:

      Thank you for this information. I have one of these plants that looked like yours. I watched the video so I can do what you did. I just have to get some of that gritty potting mix. Thx!

      How long until you water the cuttings?

    • @Succulentsandsunshine
      @Succulentsandsunshine  Місяць тому

      I usually water a day or two after planting. And then once a week or so until I know they're rooted.

      Me either. They stretch and eventually die. Maybe not strong enough grow lights. I'm also in Wisconsin. Yuck

      Echeveria do need a lot of light. If your grow lights aren't very bright (or aren't keeping things compact), you can move the plant closer to them or leave them on longer (but no more than 16 hours as succulents need a period of darkness every day).
      Also, with less light succulents need less frequent water because they don't grow as fast. More light means they grow faster and will use more water.

      Thank you. Maybe my grow lights are not good enough. Have in South window but the sun is cut off by my front porch.
