Initially, I downloaded ledger live through chrome and couldn't get the app to recognize my nano S. Super frustrating! Some thought the problem may be my anti-virus software. After a couple failed attempts to connect to ledger live and a lot of wasted time. I uninstalled ledger live and re-installed using the Brave browser. Just got a Nano S, and frankly I am thinking of sending it straight back and I have not even used it yet. Why? Just go checkout the Ledger Nano S videos on their own channel and read the comment section, bursting with people commenting with very serious issues with this device, and more importantly, no support replies to these comments from Ledger. We could be talking about serious amounts of money that this unintuitive device can mess up very easily.

Great explanation. How does one exit the app. Closing it down and unplugging USB does not work. If I click on the Ledger Live icon without any attachment it goes straight to my page and shows all the details.? Thanks.

Hello again from the UK. I had to update my Nano S, seems I had it longer than I thought, Still have eventually managed to do this and also Installed BTC and Ethereum, but now I am stuck. Need to transfer them to my Ledger. Sooo, I'll watch you and see how it's done. safety IS the best policy..

Well you might Try the normal stuff. Disconnect and reconnect the ledger Quit ledger live in start again . Reboot the computer if necessary . Just keep trying . if everything fails it may be your cable . my cable went bad after awhile . You could try a different micro USB cable . I have a cable for my Android tablet which fits just fine into the ledger Everything works great now . You might even be able to get a replacement cable from them, but like I said it's just a standard micro USB cable.

Hello guys, for a beginner do you advise me to buy this Ledger Nano S ? Or should I keep using hot wallets?
Ledger Live has a few balance display bugs, one with Ethereum Classic, which they have patch out for, and for DigiByte which will not show your balance: I did eventually get the DigiByte to show, but then when I sent some to the core wallet it did not subtract the transaction .. however if you go the the Chrome Module it will show the balance correctly there.

I have two questions about LNS.
After I send bitcoin from my Ledger Nano S (LNS) to Coinbase. Can I close ledger live and disconnect my LNS from my computer before all the 6 confirmations are processed?
I tried to use my LNS with another one of my computers. I installed Ledger Live on the 2nd computer. It wanted me to go through the entire setup process all over again. I was under the assumption that all I would have to do in order to use my LNS on any 2nd or more computers is to install ledger live, get prompted for and enter my password and that would be it. It appears it is not that simple. I have bitcoin stored on my LNS but I cannot see it on the 2nd computer in Ledger Live. I would like some very detailed instructions on how to use my LNS on a second, third, computers etc.
El Kabonglives, You don’t need to keep the ledger connected after you’ve sent the transaction. The confirmations happen on the Blockchain.
If you want to install Ledger Live on a different computer, you will still need to add the accounts. They don’t sync up to each other. Although the apps should already be on your ledger device
So is my crypto on this LIVE app, or on my ledger device or do I need to import it to the device I dont get it. Did it automatically import to my ledger and LIVE wallet is showing me what's on it?
That's what I was also wondering. At 16:30 he mentioned that it didn't always show you the balance the accounts hold. This makes me assume that the money is in fact on the ledger and the live app just shows you what is on the ledger for convenience. I'm not positive though.

when i upgraded to ledger live, today from Ledger Manager...I downloaded the LEDGER LIVE when i was advised uponm opening my Ledger Ethereum Wallet. So I did fine BUT and was not asked any of those security nor back up questions. Should i be concerned? The BTC balance (my only asset) showed as intact.

At what point in the video does the ledger become one with the coinbase accounts or is it the wallet account? I've rewound it several times and just don't see the transition. WHAT am I missing? I'm trying to transfer my accounts from phone>desktop>ledger! I'm using coinbase. I can get to both my CB account and my ledger S accounts but don't understand how to merge them to function as a unit.

I downloaded the Ontology app using the ledger live and then when I want to send ONT to the ledger, I can't add it as an account... and the send and receive options are greyed out... I'm sure it's easy when you know how, but this is just like trying to speak Japanese. Can someone offer some help ??

I have an hp laptop and I cannot get the ledger live to function properly and connect the ledger s. I am not computer savvy. I need help and I can't find no one to help me with it. The ledger I had it show the right amount of coins and transfers are on track, but... The market price for those coins including BTC do not match the market price on the ledger, it is way low than the market price.

I installed Ledger Live : Easy. I used it : it's SLOW and BUGGY. I getting back using the previous chrome apps until they release a more stable version of Ledger Live.

Pierrot, how do you go back to using the previous chrome apps and how do you install the previous Nano S version to work with the old chrome version?
SO you can only have up to 5 apps running on the S model.....if you HAVE to have BTC and ETH then it doesn't leave much. Now the deal is that you can delete the apps and re-install as you need them...still not a very good system I think. Might go back to PAPER :)
I love what you have to say but what you show is way too far away from the camera. Maybe if your pix isn't there then there might be more room for what you are showing so we can see clearer.

So ive transferred my ONE from KuCoin to my ledger/Harmony One wallet. Transfer went fine, when I went to delegate, ledger connected and harmony one app open. Click delegate, and nothing happens, no notice on computer, and ledger doesnt ask to sign staking. Anybody help?
Great info videos: 1) question - what is the difference between Ledger Live ETH: m/44'/60'/0'/0 and ledger ETH: m/44'/60'/0' address. The chrome app and MEW both have/use the same 1st address. but the ledger live has another complete different. Just got my NEW NANO S - I am following along and it won't let me add any accounts through the Ledger Live app (not your fault - just frustrating is all). Don't know what I am doing wrong....hate this stuff. Every time I get something new it's 2 days wasted - Loved my trezor, but now I can't move DGB or Tron to it or off of it now and forget EOS. I bought this because you could put those on here in cold storage and ADA...nothing I can do so far. It won't even let me move stuff to it...really bummed out. Just GIVE me a wallet that you can do everything with and be done with it already.

I'm not able to add more coins to my account list form the App Catalog they provide on LedgerLive.
The coin selections (Tron and Stellar for instance) show up on the App page alright and I've downloaded each one (one at a time) just fine, but they're not showing up on my "account list" to the left of the LedgerLive page. However they are showing up on my Ledger Nano dongle device! Something is stopping me from listing those coins on my account list and I'd like to add a few more coins and funds to my Ledger. What am I not doing here? Any ideas??

How do you delete a bad address from ledger so that you can get a good address to send your crypto to (LTC is the one I am having a problem with).

I tried to setup my Ledger nano S recently and it went as described till after going through twenty four recovery words and marking them down. After that I expected to confirm all twenty four words, but after second word confirmed, display showed that it is "processing" and then "your device is now ready". I expected all twenty four words have to be confirmed. Is it normal, or is there a technical issue? I tried to set it up as new device second time, but same happened again. Thanks for your help.

hello there. i know this is a stupid question. i am new to using my ledger nano s and have a question regarding ledger live. i have transferred my coins from binance onto ledger live by plugging in my ledger nano s. my concern is that when i unplug my ledger nano s device from my pc, the ledger live desktop app still shows my xrp balance on it. i thought the coins would be in my unplugged nano s device but for some reason its still showing on ledger live on my pc. is it supposed to be like this? please help

1. after i updated ledger live to latest version.
2. i was trying to add BTC account & i try to connect Nano S to communicated with LL
3. But LL keeps prompting for nano s conenction.
4. after several tries, i deleted LL and clean up as your video teaches.
5. when i try to connect again. MY newly installed LL didn't detect any Nano S connection
6. tried 2 cables, with the Nano S original one didn't work.
7. I was suspecting it could b USB port but it doenst seems to be

Sorry to bother you but ledger is impossible to communicate with, so they say that I must update usb drivers and I find only one that I have updated and my ledger live will not finish initializing so where might I locate the other usb driver please?

Can you help me please? Ledger live won't let me add accounts. When i add my btc account i get the connection, but when i open up the app on my device i get put back to connect and unlock your ledger device. In the meantime the display on the device reads: application is ready. What can do i need to do?
Does my Ledger Nano S need to be connected to receive coin?
Can I open the Ledger, get the ‘receiving coin’ address,

Hi Rex It seems that you cannot send and receive with Ledger Live desktop with Your Ledger Nano S and you have to use android app From official website Ledger Nano S: import your accounts from desktop application & check your balance available for all users. Send & receive feature only available for Android users so is that true?

You can continue to use the Chrome apps. But at some point they they will stop updating them and offering tech support on them. In the long run, it is best to migrate over to the most current software.

I got a new computer, loaded Ledger live, hooked up my nano s, loaded my BTC and ETH with no problem but when I went to load my LTC, it would not load and kept giving this message: ! Great Video. When sending crypto back to an exchange, I cannot find the field to enter the destination tag, there's only an address field. Do I need a wallet to do that? I must have made a mistake and got caught up in “Bootloader mode” and I’m struck! I can’t get back into the ledger to access my accounts. I also can’t find easy instructions on Ledger site. Maximus K, Yes taking a cautious approach is good. I think they’re trying to compete with wallets like exodus that have cool interfaces and allow multiple currencies.
