I struggled all day yesterday after switching over to Ledger Live trying to Add my accounts not realizing once I selected the appropriate app on the Ledger device that I then needed to press the two buttons. One comment about your video (which is great ,by the way) . When you show the NANO Ledger on the small screen you can hardly see what it says One suggestion would be to record that info ahead of time and then superimpose those videos on the presentation . Question about the coins. If a new coin is created (or a Fork of a coin), can it be added to the list in NANO?
Can you like trade beetwen tether and btc only in ledger live. I mean is it possible to convert stable coins to btc and opposite only in ledger live? so automatically only using other exchanges to get coins in and out?
Not quirky when you was in the Digibyte app and it advised that it was the wrong app when trying to switch to Bitcoin. Rather than coming out and re-entering, you could just click the red "retry" button.

I have the Ledger Nano S but I’m having an issue-I only have 4 coins but the ledger now won’t let me put them all on because I don’t have enough space. I learned from you that I don’t have to worry about my coins but are there any ways to get all the coins on ledger live? Stated differently, I’ve had to delete to and now hold just BTC/ETH on the Ledger Live portfolio. Any thoughts on increasing space? Many thanks in advance.

Great video. There is a section on the app that shows lots of available coins like VeChain but it doesn't allow you to send or receive them from the drop down menu. Do you know how to deposit them, etc? What happens when you nano S is full and doesn't let you add more?
Once set up, when do I need to connect the ledger? After every transfer to safely move off line to the hard wallet? Or the device just holds keys so it does not matter?
Hello Rex, i have problem when i try transfer my Theta erc-20 tokens away from my ledger nano s, using MEW. It keeps sayin that "not enough gas" im tryin to move about worth of 300usd of erc-20 tokens. Do you know what i should do to get more gas, or is it from the gas price?
Ok.. You make it look so easy. I have a Gemini account. Less than 10 transfers a month to my Ledger Live app is free. So I sent Bitcoin to myself and the miners fee was $25 !!!! There is no way to verify any Transfer fees with either Gemini or via the Ledger Live app ! Am I missing a setting? Where can I choose the miner fee amount (speed) ? Why are your transfer fees so low.... Help me understand how to save $$$$$$ on transfer fees. I sent Uniswap to my Etherium account and it showed up under the tab like it should. I sent $11 as a test. The fee was $19 ! I only got ONE CENT...

DOENIGHTMARE, The “coins” are stored on the Blockchain. The ledger nano S simply holds the private keys that give you access to an address on the Blockchain. Ledger Live is the software interface that allows you to interact with the Blockchain. By allowing you to read your balance and send and receive value.
Yeah, the point of the ledger is to securely store your private keys and access them through a computer that's potentially infected with malware. Nothing on your computer is trusted, even the ledger live application itself, which is why the physical ledger device has a screen that forces you to validate send/receive addresses and send transactions. It's secure hardware that requires your physical interaction to allow the use of your keys which never leave the device.

I have Stellar and Ripple on my Ledger. I like your videos about Ledger Live but wonder how to send/receive and work with Stellar and Ripple on Ledger Live. These two cryptos are based in the ledger on the Web interface and I wonder how this works with Ledger Live. Help us please.
Unfortunately, neither is supported in Ledger Live. You can still store the private keys on the Ledger, but for Stellar, you must still use the Stellar ledger wallet (on the Stellar website) to view your balance and make transfers. And I believe the Windows Ripple app still works for Ripple.
Hello!! I need some advice PLEASE!! I’ve done lots of research but cannot seem to find my answer. We transferred BTC from our exchange to our NANO S ledger one-and-a-half days ago. It shows in our ledger, but only under “Asset Allocation” and not in our account. Our account still does not reflect the amount of the btc sent! Also, the confirmations are at 227 and still rising. Why is this? What does this all mean? I have sent a message to my exchange but have not heard back (in the middle of Christmas break so I understand)! Would you please calm my nerves! Even though the transaction says confirmed, the transactions keep rising which gives me the impression that it’s not officially confirmed and in my wallet yet. Is this normal? Thank you!!
In the US, how does one handle the transaction fee in regards to taxes? Let's say I send 1 BTC and the fee is .1 BTC (just for ease). I now only have .9 BTC. I'm sure the IRS wants it's cut for me spending .1 BTC on a 'service'. Seems if one were to buy and transfer immediately, it would be easiest to just figure it into the cost basis, but if someone had been accumulating .1 BTC a month before transferring a total of 1 BTC, it seems it would be easiest to figure it as a single event using FIFO.

OMG I have an old Nano Ledger S and have 20 crappy litecoin on it and it's been more than a year that I looked at it I had to download an update then add back bitcoin and ETH then Litecoin then I figured I had to do the same on the Ledger Live app and I did and my 20 crappy litecoin showed up.

I'm trying to import my DGB from Digibyte Core to my Ledger Live (new install). The receive address generated by Ledger Live starts with an 's' and Digibyte Core requires a send to address starting with a 'D'. It is showing as an invalid address. Any suggestions?

@@CryptoDad I think your right it says at the top of my computer screen on the right hand corner. Says nano s detected. Go to Wallet website to connect. How do I do that?

Charles Toth, I think if you scroll down in the ledger live interface, you will see the memo field option below when you’re on the send screen. Please don’t forget that memo it’s very important.
U said we dont need to connect our nano ledger to ledger live at all when transferring into our nano...question, is the ledger live hack proof? Isn't the whole point of having a nano ledger hard wallet is to keep your coins safe?
The only thing you can do In Ledger Live Without connecting the Ledger Nano device is view your balances. And yes you are able to transfer balances into those wallets if you know the receiving address, but I would hardly call that hacking. You're welcome to transfer some balances into my ledger address if you want to, I won't mind . The most important thing is you cannot withdraw anything unless the ledger is attached and you have verified with the buttons.
@@CryptoDad so basicly you can just have a screen shot off the wallet address you want to recive funds to and some one can pay you that way and when you get home it will be there on your account/wallet?
As far as I know Ledger live is only available for windows . didn't even have a version for Mac, let alone Linux or Tails. Grant Johnson , Ah good to know. There’s only one button, so they must just detect the system when they present the link. I would be interested to know if you’re able to get your ledger nano S working Tails
You might try installing it on a different machine if you have one. perhaps you computer needs a tune up? (not criticizing, just troubleshooting/brainstorming)
Ledger Live app is a disaster. I get error messages when I try to get past the "Allow Ledger Manager on your device" section. Messages says "Sorry, try again (API HTTP 522) Interacting with Ledger's API server went wrong. Please retry." Anyone know why?
This appears to be a server connection issue. I am currently unable to sync. I tried reinstalling Ledger Live an received the exact same error as you. Let's just hope it is a temporary issue with their servers.
Dr. Ho Lee Phuk , Of course I did when I originally installed it. But after being unable to sync and uninstalling and trying to reinstall I get the same error messages you. But I’m assuming it’s all related to the fact that it’s not syncing. I can’t even re-download the ledger live software from their website.

How can I transfer from live to the actual wallet itself? Or am I confused about how it actually works?

Izik Ilya, The ledger nano is not designed to show your coin balance. It only shows your your transaction confirmations.

Sounds like it’s not connected. Try a different USB port or maybe switch the cable if possible

Glad it's not just me so. It worked for me yesterday but can't connect at all today. Guess it's a problem at their end.
Everything appears to be back up. I got past the "Allow Ledger Manager on your device" step this morning.
