    Highly recommend IPL treatment not expensive but stimulates collagen

      IPL treats skin pigmentation effectively. MANY treatments over time can improve collagen content but people usually do not commit to that.

    Does laser resurfacing always treat the entire face or do you offer spot treatment?

    • @thomasm1022
      @thomasm1022 2 роки тому

      Spot treatment is always an option. It really depends on your needs. There are a variety of treatment techniques that can be customized to meet your goals. Thanks for your question!

    What are the different laser resurfacing methods and in your opinion which is the most effective? Thank you.

    • @AdvancedCosmeticSurgery
      @AdvancedCosmeticSurgery  2 роки тому +1

      It really depends upon:
      1. what is the extent of improvement that you would like to have;
      2. what is the downtime that you would like to have;
      3. what are the areas that need to be treated;
      4. how much money you are willing to spend to get the desired improvement;
      5. what is the nature of the improvement that you would like to have (improve redness, brown spots or areas, wrinkles or mild to significant texture improvement).
      We have tools to treat the whole spectrum. Generally, when we talk about laser resurfacing, we employ a long pulse erbium laser which can give the same results as a CO2 laser with 1/3 of the downtime. We can also use a fractionated modality to give good improvement (not as much as continuous, whole surface laser resurfacing), three different types of radio frequency treatments to accomplish some skin tightening as well as mild fat reduction, and skin pen treatments for mild skin remodeling (compared to the other treatments listed above).
      Please visit our gallery on our website at advancedcosmeticsurgerysc.com for our before and after photos of laser resurfacing. I am sure that you will be impressed with the results. Treatment for the skin itself is one of the most overlooked areas in cosmetic surgery. Surgery by itself never treats wrinkles.
      Please call our office Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 5 PM at 864-242-3223 and we will be glad to set you up for a consultation where we can discuss your needs and goals in further detail.

    So since it heats up, does it melt fat? I can’t afford to lose any fat in my face. Also, can you tell me the cost, please?

    • @thomasm1022
      @thomasm1022 2 роки тому

      He works on the surface of your skin. It does not work on the fatty layer below the skin. Laser resurfacing is for reversal of skin aging and to improve skin quality. Please call the office to speak to Lacey or Laura and they will be glad to help you.

    Does this method work as scar revision? I want to diminish the appearance of my tummy tuck belly button, and a burn mark created by wearing compresión garment. This was Recomended by the specialist that takes care of my laser hair removal

    • @AdvancedCosmeticSurgery

      We use the resurfacing laser to help out mild to moderate scars to smooth the contour. We called this laser blending. We have used this technique for years.

    Is there a laser option to dark skin candidates? Weighing pros and cons of laser resurfacing vs Sculptra or Thermage; what is the most cost effective method given the same results? Thanks!

    • @thomasm1022
      @thomasm1022 2 роки тому +2

      Fractionated laser is the only option for people with dark skin. Laser resurfacing accomplishes an anti-aging effect. Sculptra simply fills but only mildly in my experience. Thermage is an ineffective radio frequency treatment. You get vastly different results with different effects. Laser resurfacing as far more effective.

    Can laser skin treatments (IPL?) lighten small moles/birthmarks or is it only for aging spots?

    Would you do laser on Melasma prone skin if my skin concerns are texture, large pores, some sagging and dullness.+

    • @AdvancedCosmeticSurgery
      @AdvancedCosmeticSurgery  5 місяців тому

      Melasma is not a great condition to have. I would pretreat with a bleaching cream for 4 to 6 weeks and then probably do a fractionated laser with low density. I would have to examine you in person to give the best advice. Gradual improvement over several sessions would likely be the goal.

    I had co2 fractional laser 5 months ago with really good results. But there are days the results look better than others especially under my eyes, as for tightness. Is this normal? Is there a waxing and waning process??

    • @AdvancedCosmeticSurgery
      @AdvancedCosmeticSurgery  2 місяці тому +1

      Hi!! We do not offer a CO2 fractional laser, so it would be best to reach out to your provider. Hormone changes, sleep, and allergies are all factors that can affect your under eyes.

    Question
    I am at week 8 out from co2 fractional laser
    Apparently I had a festoon which this treatment has left me with a small lump of edema on one cheek 🤦‍♀️ lymphatic drainage, jade rolling, ice and pressing on it will not get it out. 🤦‍♀️ maybe in time? and second question, my neck and chest looks kinda waxy Wondering if that will settle down ? Thanks ❤

      Swelling resolution takes a different amount of time from person to person. Fresh, healthy skin reflects light better than layers of dead or old skin.
