  • In this video, Dr Paul Pearce takes a closer look at how the Lutronic Ultra Laser works, what you can expect during and after treatment, and some of the amazing results patients have achieved. The Lutronic Ultra is a cutting-edge laser treatment that delivers noticeable results with minimal downtime. This advanced laser technology is designed to rejuvenate your skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, even out skin tone and texture, as well as treat areas of hyperpigmentation leaving you with brighter more vibrant skin!
People avoid sun exposure after laser treatments because laser treatments can make the skin more sensitive and vulnerable to damage from the sun's harmful UV rays. Laser treatments work by targeting the skin cells and causing controlled damage to the targeted area, which stimulates the body's natural healing process to produce new, healthy skin cells. However, this process also leaves the skin more susceptible to sunburn, hyperpigmentation, and other types of sun damage.
Exposure to the sun's UV rays can also cause inflammation and irritation, which can interfere with the healing process and prolong recovery time. Therefore, it is important to protect the treated area from the sun by wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 several times daily and avoiding direct sun exposure for several weeks after most laser treatments. The Lutronic Ultra treatments do have some restrictions with the sun that are similar in that SPF of at least 30 is recommended daily (as opposed to several times daily) as well as avoiding excess sun exposure for a couple weeks post treatment.
Whether you're looking to refresh your appearance or tackle a specific skin concern, the Lutronic Ultra Laser can help you achieve the youthful, radiant skin you've always wanted all year round.

To remove pigmentation/ sunspots, which one is better Pico vs LaseMD for Asian with yellow olive skin and light melasma? Many thanks!

Unfortunately I can only comment on the Lase MD since that's the laser we have and I have not used the Pico. For now my vote is for the LASE MD as we've had a good success rate treating olive and darker skin types. If I come across a study that says which is better I'll be sure to comment again! Thank you for the question!

How many weeks do you recommend to space out the first 3 sessions?

We do our sessions every 4 to 6 weeks depending on the intensity of the treatment.

is this the same laser that's called eCO2 Plus - which is a Lutronic

No, this is a thullium laser compared to the eCO2 which is a CO2 based. Same idea, just the recovery with the thullium laser is easier
