Hi low
Up next: Adam Savage's one-arm-builds.
This man will make any excuse he can to wear his Fitted Suit of Armor.
Love it.
I had a very nice WWII US Paratrooper uniform repro and I used to wear it around the house when nobody else was around, web gear and all.
I'm pretty sure he uses any excuse to dress up.
@@foist101 I have a WWII US Paratrooper uniform as well. I wore it this month when I parachuted into Normandy for the 75th Anniversary of D Day! AATW! facebook.com/Peter.L.Sotos/videos/10157182666569906/
im building a crusader suit with real armor so i understand how he feels
I dont need an excuse
Sometimes I forget how crazy awesome this channel gets. Then I see Peter Jackson and Richard Taylor doing a skit with Adam like it's just business as usual.
0:24 I can’t help but imagine the guy crouching down just out of frame whispering “roar!” to cue Adam to open his eyes.
‘T is but a scratch!
I half-expected him to say that :D
Ni!
a SCRATCH? Your arm's off!
SoupFork it’s just a flesh wound 😂
I'll bleed on you!
After watching all the behind the scenes footage, this short-film became so much better!
I thought they were still going to make the final video
I missed this last year but found it after watching the behind the scenes vids. Epic!
A farewell to arms... Seems like a lot of work for a pun. Great job.
How did I not notice that?!
It's a pun as well as an homage to Star Wars.
.....I feel like I've heard that name before....Sly Cooper perhaps?
So imagine the work that went into the 3 LOTR movies, or any movie for that matter
More of this please! Adam Savage and Weta, I'm in heaven. I could watch behind the scenes stuff all day long.
“We built our careers on those sort of squirts.” Gold from Richard Taylor.
The bloom effect applied in post is so beautiful! Major props to whoever worked on that. Almost gives it a dreamy appearance.
Lol anyone else notice Adams scene where he's resting under the tree is a perfect remake of the scene of Lancelot sleeping in the movie Excalibur (just before the dream where he fights himself)? Pure awesome, love the new videos Adam, please keep it up!!
This series was a lot of fun to watch! Congratulations, very nice work
Adam gets to live out his Hollywood action film fantasy. Awesome! 😆
As a swordsman Adam is a great prop maker.
This was great to watch after watching the behind the scenes vids!
That was sweet as boys!
So the skit was the fact that they were on a movie set, shooting a film.
Guess you could call that
Meta Weta.
*hands you sunglasses and a copy of "We Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who*
What a magnificent series. It is great to see the the step-by-step show of what it takes to create a film.
Me: hey what are you doing this weekend
Adam: nothing much fighting orcs in my suit of armour with PETER JACKSON......
That was the most brilliant execution of cheese I've seen since raclette.
Omg adam ya need a 20 min film like this every year. But you need to do it at a comic con and include 1-3 of your favorite comic con costumes you see when incognito having them film with you for fun but showcasing their coatume work in the film.
I can’t believe I missed this at the time - it is impossible not to appreciate what an enormous amount of time and effort has gone into this from watching the multi-part Weta Workshop edits. Thank you to everyone involved, not only for the work they did, but also for sharing their skills and expertise.
Just what nerds across the internet have wanted for a long time. Adam Savage in a suit of armour, battling an alien! :)
This put a genuine smile on my face! Brings back so many memories of my younger years when I would plunge head deep into behind the scenes documentaries and magazines. Thank you Tested crew for keeping that wonder and joy alive.
Adam Savage Amazing & Horrible
Amazing - Engineer, Creator, Artist, Inventor, Nerd, TV Personality, TV Host, Live Science, Conversationalist, etc, etc, etc
Horrible - Sword Fighting, Action Stunts, Acting, & Athleticism In Any Way
Love you Adam! I'm a dedicated follower but don't quit your day job!
Adam looked like a shorter Brienne of Tarth in this XD
I thought the same thing haha
Loved this. Watching Adam is always so much fun. I hope he never stops playing.
Paused at 2:45 to make this comment: PERFECT, that little movie was awesome. Watching part 6 about the filming and I had a bunch of notes, but the final cut hit every one of them!!!
You should all be very proud...loved watching the making of, and the whole production was great....thank you for it
How EXCELLENT was this series in collaboration with WETA?!!! And, the culminating short film was such fun!!
Being able to work with, and utilize the expertise of these amazing WETA craftspeople, awesome actors, and the fabulous filmmaking crew, plus, having Richard Taylor and Peter Jackson show up for the gag…I’m flat out excited for you, and totally envious….what an experience!!! You lucky bunch!
The level of which you put these short productions together is astonishing. I had no freaking idea Adam was so gifted. I thought he just liked to blow shit up but he's so much more than what we got to see on his show. Take a bow sir and enjoy this standing O!!!
Ha! Peter is back at his old hobbit form.
Awesome :D
I just love how you can see his smile throughout the whole fight scene. Always love the videos Adam!
I just got done watching all the "behind the scenes" filming, and now I enjoy this short film even more! I am laughing my ass off! Well done guys!
Tis but a scratch.
A scratch?! Your arm's off!
No it isn't.
Well what's that then?
I've had worse.
Ohhh You liar!
Come on then, you pansy!
Absolutely amazing. They literally have the best job in the world. 😁
Thank you for sharing this with us! Great series. You guys must absolutely go back to Weta!
You guys get to have entirely too much fun!!
But we love it!
😀🕺🏻🎥🏖🇦🇺
Great! Wellington resident here - always good to hear that visitors enjoy coming here!
This short film very much reminded me of the Pythons' "Black Knight" and Jackson's "Bad Taste" - still one of my favourite movies!
I should say that I **can't stand** "normal" horror movies but "splatterfest" movies like "Bad Taste" are hilarious! The gore is *so* over-the-top that it's funny rather than scary.
"Oh all right - we'll call it a draw....... " :)
excaliburrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When i was a kid that Excaliber movie is the best version of the tell of King Author. That short movie was awesome and funny at the same time.
And this is the kind of stuff why I follow Tested. Just these sheer moments that few people will ever experience in their life. I'm kinda jealous, but also very happy to see these.
When Adam 'woke up,' I was so hoping he'd put on his glasses...
What a fun collaboration! ❤️
Thank you for all the videos!
Cute and funny. Best of all a great tutorial for budding film makers.
That great seeing Peter and the wata work shop team
Adam truly is.. living the dream! Awesome.
There was so much ham in this, as soon as Adam started "acting", I started to crave a BLT lol
and the winner of the Academy, for best "what was that sound?" goes to "Doug from UP"
brave brave sir Adam
Adam is just- woof- he’s a super duper fan that gets what he wants- ITS GREAT
Anyone coming back to this after watching the "Week at Weta" set of videos?
Adam, you live the life every child aspires to live and every grownup wishes they had lived.
Amazing! To see all the pieces come together, it turned out great. Good job everyone!
Brilliant, really enjoyed the whole series. Well done guys 🏆👍🏼😊
Ahhh the classic nap in the woods against a tree with armor on
Always fun to see some great behind-the-scenes work.
Brilliantly done , a great insight into film making, well done to everyone involved 👍🏻
So freakin awesome, what an immense joy it´s been to follow the entire proces from start to finish, and the end result really came out looking great! Long live Tested and Adam Savage + crew! :-) ...and WETA too ;-)
Great collaboration!!! Hope to see another one in the future
This was awesome! Seeing Adam fighting with Jamie Hyneman in his true form! Never thought ide see that.
This looks like it was so much fun to produce, working at weta has been a lifetime dream job for me
Gotta love how that monster's hit somehow managed to knock the ring off Adam's finger, too. Lol!
Epic! Make more of these!
Awesome! I especially enjoyed the Lancelot-resting-under-a-tree pose! HUGE Excalibur fan over here.
adam savage would make a great king in a fantasy movie in armour he looks just like one
Thanks guys from NZ
Awesomeness! You rock!
Thanks for the journey! Was spectacular to watch it evolve! My family and I loved it!!!!!!
The whole film series was really interesting. And when Richard Taylor and Peter Jackson showed up, that took it to the epic level. Well done guys.
I just love random, not too serious content like this dropping in! Keep at it guys!
Truly fantastic series, great end result! I can just watch Weta workshop footage all day long. Who wishes they could go there and work there...me!
Thankyou so much tested, going to join premium after watching this.
it is amazing the amount of work involved in tha scene
Wonderful, totally wonderful. big fan of tested and big fan of LOTR and weta. I am one of the people that when the extended versions of LOTR came out on DVD i actually watched all 4 of the commentaries on them and all the special features. That's a lot of stuff. So i have really enjoyed seeing even more weta BTS etc on tested, LOVE it.
Brienne of Tarth with beard!
The resemblance is uncanny!
Lol! Just commented the same. Tiny male version
Hahaha, I literally just left a Brienne of Tarth comment too.
The suit of armour looks so shiny! Lol loved this short~! 💖
Such an incredible series!
AH! so thats why you guys were in wellington! I took a photo with you just outside of te papa museum with you guys!
Adam’s physical presence and movement here, what a legend!
I love how much of a fucking nerd Adam is. You can see the pure joy in his eye, like a kid playing with their favorite toys.
Brilliant, and the behind the scenes is fantastic!
Awesome series!
The hole series was great to watch. THANKS
That short film looked like so much fun to make
FAN-TASTIC
Absolutely brilliant.
I'd love to see Adam learn some actual HEMA or at least meet with some HEMA instructors. I'm sure there's a club in SF.
Heck, you know that the SCA was founded at UC Berkeley, right?
I was wondering about the choreography at first, then I realized it was a very well-done spoof.
Or SCA instead of Hema parlour fighting
Cool! I'll be watching this as I work next Monday! Thank you guys, awesome!!
That was brilliant with the foley added to it.
New Diablo looks great!
And this is why i watch the Lord of the Rings Extended behind the scenes stuff more than the films. The amount of work that goes into even an extremely small thing is incredible. Let alone a 3 part epic. The second Richard and Peter showed up I knew the blood level was going to go through the roof.
That was great fun, really enjoyed the journey of the Tested team at Weta.
Best actor golden globes Adam Savage
... It, back-handed his arm off? Don't get me wrong, neat and cool, that just really stood out to me.
So awesome 🇸🇪👍
Really great job, love it!
This turned out great! I loved this whole series @adamsavage!
Seeing Adam in the armor makes me think that he should play a relative to Brienne of Tarth in GoT. They have the same hair!
When i saw Adam's arm fly off all i could think of is "tis but a scratch"
Love it!
Awesome.
yes!!!
