- This is the Japanese translated version of the song "Stalemate" made for the 2015 Japanese production.
I do not own Death Note the Musical or anything to do with it.
Music: Frank Wildhorn
Lyrics: Jack Murphy and Ivan Menchell
This version is like when both have a crush on each other so they analyze every detail about the other but try to convince themselves they're not in love.
@Hana Hayes lol I made a video of stalemate playing over the drama showing just that
That 'Don't get flustered, calm down' sounds a lot like 'Stop blushing, me!" While english L 'he's such a cool and collected guy" a lot like voiced feelings. XD
L singing has watered my kids, cleared my crops, cured my grades,
Monicat Ha get it? Im gonna die alone
I didn’t know L’s vocal chords could do all that.
Cured my kids, watered my crops, cleared my grades?
*Don't woosh me I was just trying to decode it. I already know its a joke.*
@@jackfblades7528 lol literally me
This whole musical is just too amazing
First?
Yessss!!! Aspie Near is ba-ack! I LOVE the translated version of this song so much. The English is like "hmm, oh no, we are at an impasse, so let's sing about what to do now" and the Japanese is like "iF YOU MAKE A WRONG MOVE YOU DIE BOI" And I kinda love that. XD
A Syrdal well, I think the fact that I enjoy dubs so much is why I love the english version of this musical. I also enjoy how logically similar the play is to the source material.
@@mrspaghetti8147 Agreed!
True, I love english version Stalemate, but the meaning behind Japanese version is more on point, I LOVE IT
If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been messing with the titles and descriptions of my past videos, cleaning them up. Yes, now the titles don’t match the title cards in the videos now, but hear me out. The titles of the romaji videos are now the translation of their Japanese titles, with the original English title in the description. I feel like it works a bit smoother this way.
I prefer the Jeremy Jordan version but this song slaps in any language
These two nailed it
(Well, 4 adding misa and the trio at the end)
I'm so grateful you are still uploading, great work.
The day I re-listen to the English version.
Unlike english L, japanese L is really saying something L from the anime would tell.
Thank you! :D A new update.
The line amiri no kanpeki describes this musical in a nutshell
I love this!
Nice vid, one of my favorite songs. It is so powerful and thrilling. I totally enjoyed it, even though I prefer Kakizawa. But still an awesome work.
PS: also, nice to have you back!
I prefer Kakki too, but I love both!! :D
This version just happened to be the easiest for me to find and download.
learning japanese love this
Nice!
Probing and tempting each other? 😉
The more i listen to this the more im starting to think something else went on with those handcuffs 🤔
1:54 Rock!
Are we back to doing these? If so can I recommend The Unchanging Truth?
Actually I’ve already started that one! I’ll have it up tomorrow.

LIGHTS VOICE GOT ME PREGNANT AND GAVE ME A LIFE SUPPLY AMOUNT OF WATER AND FOOD
HELP 😭 (me fr)
Is this Urai Kenji or Kakizawa Hayato?
Dictatorial Glambert Urai Kenji
What ever happened to the other Japanese musical??
Which one?
If you're talking about the 2017 version, I'm currently uploading the songs from that production ;)
I honestly prefer Japanese Musical's Misa over English Musical's Misa. Not that English Misa's bad in any ways. But Japenese Misa just sounds more... Misa
