- This is the Japanese translated version of the song "Hurricane" made for the 2015 Japanese production.
I do not own Death Note the Musical or anything to do with it.
Music: Frank Wildhorn
Lyrics: Jack Murphy and Ivan Menchell - Комедії
In the English version he’s totally swept up in the power high from moment the initial disbelief and awe wear off; he’s clearly been waiting for the slightest opportunity to make a big change, and there is no illusion of self-control that will hold him back from his so-called New World.
In Japanese he’s more thoughtful and initially reluctant, contemplating the morality of his actions, right before talking himself up to the same grand plans and delusions with more positive language, emphasizing the smiles his New World will bring...in his narcissistic fantasy he’s convinced himself is a responsible plan.
Different roads to the same hell, equally but not equivalently paved. Just a masterwork.
Well, the English version was just a concept album, it would've been much different if they actually made the English musical.
Anybody who uses the note cant go to heaven or hell bruh first watch it
@@trevuamirai5324 It's a metaphor.
@@OptimusPhillip Idc coz it's wrong
@@trevuamirai5324 it's a famous metaphor, at that. Not everything has to be interpreted literally.
I like the music of the english version however the japanese lyrics made much more sense
The English one is more like just a song while this one is more of those musical speech where the charcater sing it out while saying (which make more sense)
@@rodimusunicronus2089 Frank Wildhorn did the music so it's the same music in both versions.
While I love the English version, I feel like this one takes on a much more nuanced take, and shows light thinking about the ways he can use the death note in more of a societal sense, like how he can make people’s lives better. Whereas the English version makes him immersed in how he can make a mark on the world.
This feels like two different ways to take the song, but both are very well done. Almost the one walked so the other could run. It’s like each adaption takes the songs and makes them better.
Near, when you’re done catching Kira, is it possible we can get stalemate?
Oh my god. You actually predicted it.
I always look at this comment and think “the fuck your on about?” I still don’t understand what your saying or why you said it at all
@@dylantheultimategamer1444 near is the name of the channel slso the name of the person who finally outsmarted light or kira in the manga and the anime and the stalemate is a play on the chess term referred to in the English version of the musical meaning to be equal
I commented on the Japanese "where is the justice" that that Light had too nuanced a morality to become Kira. But this version of Hurricane makes it work. This isn't a Light that fantasized about killing criminals until this moment. His god complex is more subtle. And his first kill with the Death Note was direct defense of others anyway. And killing the worst billionaires and politicians (the first criminals targeted by any musical Light) without seeing a change naturally leads any Light into genocide when his only move is to kill. And his only view of justice is punitive.
Somehow the lyric make more sense in this version
I never in my wildest dreams though we'd be reaching 800 subs.
Now it's 799,i wonder did kira killed that one missing guy
why tho?) name one person who doesn't want to hear OG version of hotness which japanese DN musical is, moreso subbed one. oh, also 2 guys now :P oof
