I’d buy the Ray Bans-- these would be GREAT for fishing OR if you got into any kind of freaky confrontation that needed to be recorded-- why do they keep calling that capability “creepy”?? People record stuff all the time on their phones and this is just WaY more convenient than holding a stupid phone in your hands…….

Totally agree, i have no idea why people keep saying creepy. compared to the things people do with phones then using sunglasses would be way more difficult. These glasses could be super useful for loads of things so will definitely be looking to get a pair.

Ray Ban Stories are pretty good. I have been wearing them for a while now. I tried shooting a couple of UA-cam episodes using only the Ray Ban and surprised it came out quiet good. Def worth it.

the raybans look alot more sleek and not noticeable they have built in speakers and tech. bose would win with the sound though... would be perfect for audiobooks on beach walks / hikes / bike rides
I am waiting delivery of my Ray Bans, I currently use Wayfarers prescription glasses and my insurance covered the smart frames so why not? Personally I can’t wait for AR glasses but these are a nice tippy toe into smart glasses to see if there is a real world utility to them.

Honestly the camera on ray bans is a bit creepy :) but it’s a really cool feature.

image staybelisers are the only down fall of these glasses. The ones with stabilizer are the best. I would buy 2 for sure
I bought the Snap Spectacles when they first came out. They were cool, but I hated the frame design. Used it for like 6 months, then never cared for them again. Butied somewhere in my storage boxes. Now that Ray-Ban has come out with their version, I'm definitely thinking about purchasing one. The Wayfarer style frame is exactly my cup of tea.

How can I buy snap camera glass from you?
I have both and compared the Ray Bans. Audio from the RB speakers is unbearable, so is it worth it to pay $$ just for on-the-fly media capture? I have a GoPro and Insta360 Go but everyone knows those are cameras whereas this is less conspicuous. So for me, yes it's worth it.
The audio from my headphones would switch to the Ray Bans as soon as I turned the glasses on. I learned how to switch the audio back to my headphones while keeping the sunglasses in the on position for capturing videos/photos. Huge. I can also text what I am seeing while on the phone. Keeper.

Google glasses were way too high tech, not fashionable and also expensive. Now they tech history, the early editions ones are starting to be collectors items. But now we’re seeing much sleeker and simpler options like these Bose starting at couple hundred bucks…

My frames have a battery life of just over an hour now, my wife's have totally died. Luckily for her, they were still under warranty so she has a pair of Sopranos on the way. When they work they are great.
If Ray-Ban recorded more than 30 seconds it would be great. Especially for UA-cam

I have Tenor Frames and they feel like a downgrade compared with Frames 1sh gen (I have those too). Tenor is narrower (143 mm vs 150 mm 1sh gen), so I experience much less comfort wearing them. Bose doesn't have any choice of sizes. Plus, the microphone quality wasn't great on the 1st gen but after some software updates it became okay. Tenor, however, seems to have even worse positioned microphone, so I hardly find it usable.
Sir, are you saying that'd you prefer the Alto's over the Tenor?

I have 2 pairs of Bose glasses and love them
What 2 pairs do you have I’m going back and forth between the tenor and tempo. The tenor for looks and all around comfort but the tempo for longer battery life better speakers im going to be driving for 10 hours a day and want to listen to music podcasts and make phone calls just wish I could get the tenors with bigger battery storage I’d be happy I’m also getting transition prescription lenses

The alto are great for sun and are better except I worry they’ll fall off when looking down like they’re heavier and the tempo are real comfortable and I love them , but they lenses are so dark to see out of even in the bright sun
I’ve never used them long enough consecutive to run the battery to die

I had the Bose Alto and they are very uncomfortable and heavy. The sound is Great. They are also problematic, 3rd pair not able to charge. They no longer make them.
I do fine capturing all of my creepy footage with the high quality sound & high resolution images & unlimited video available with my phone. Much less conspicuous than overpriced dark sunglasses inside of a building.

I don't think these are creepy! If these had better cameras and you could record for longer I could definitely use these whenever I go fishing! like a GoPro but in your glasses!
I think the creepy factor for me is that if I was talking to a person who was wearing these, I also have a camera pointing at me and I don't know if it's recording me or not. That would make me self conscious and concerned about their motives.
Also if that person is just casually looking in the direction of my daughter how do I know they're not recording her? Pervy weirdo glasses

People can film you from another condo, a car dash cam.
America is the only place where you are not allowed to record a phone conversation with your own phone. Personally I'd like to recap a quick call from or guidance from a friend , I could smell big brother refusing us this liberty.
Also America is the only place that tarded millennials or Xers keep saying that a camera on a glass is creepy.

I made a prototype from some Chinese glasses with a camera and I have managed to control them without touching them or saying a single word.
What's more, you can look at me with them on and I'll give you $100 if you guess when l'm taking photos or videos of you.
I am doing some things to get a superior prototype and launch them on the market through crowdfunding, but I am going slowly since I have never launched any other product. The control system using cephalic-facial gestures can be incorporated into any glasses, including Ray-Ban | Goal. The sensors that I incorporate are 3 and they do not consume any additional energy to function, in addition, I also made a system for them to charge them while you use them without it being noticed and it has turned out as I expected. The glasses still look identical, you don't notice anything additional when you wear them.

The only reason for hesitation of buying a rayban story is the capacity of memory stick which has only 4 G , I don’t think I can upgrade to bigger ones .
Where do you insert the memory stick? What type of stick it takes ?

The audio and mic qualities are too low for me to drop $225 or so. Further- for me, smart glasses will be quite useful when they have AR incorporated.

Doing videos with these when working on things and you need both hands would be nice. Until they can record for longer times they're just an expensive toy.
Taking measurements from a tape measure while standing 20 ft up a ladder was made much simpler when all I had to do was talk to my glasses.

The idea of charging specs when the person is wearing specs 12x7 is a hard sell atm.
i knew the bose would obviously have the edge on sound but those arms are just horrendous, like they have elephantiasis. Id take rayban cameras and mics with bose sound
