I have them and also bought the Rokid Max, I like them a lot better but don't like the cyberpunk look too much. Probably will sell the Air 1 and buy the 2 Pro.
It's very nicely made. A huge step forward indeed. I wonder when we could have a pair of AR glasses as superb as XReal that could interact with users and the real world via visuals and hand gestures. Now, its just a beautiful display for your devices like mobile phones, computers, etc.
Great video -I would however have liked folk to actually address problem with beam and lack of development and support other £130 brick - it needs apps etc
I use my pair every night. My son won’t sleep if there is any light in the room, so while he is going to sleep I wear them. I purchased the Xreal beam used it for a week, then returned it. Personally I don’t think it’s worth 120 dollars
So the xreal were the only AR glasses I didn't think looked goofy. The only issue I had was I wanted them to be 120h. So I guess I don't have an excuse now.
It's a pointless upgrade, I can't belive they're doing this. No resolution improvement, no FOV improvement, no efficiency improvement... It's just a cash grab what's going on... And they still haven't released nebula for windows. Even if they did it only supports high end graphics cards. Ugh so disappointed.
This company is doing everything right. I can’t believe Apple hasn’t bought the XReal company yet? At Apple's, last big event, they announced a pair of VR/AR diving goggles for $3,500.00. And, that’s probably without the snorkel included. XReal has created a sleek, sexy-as-hell, AR-esque, wonder product for one-seventh the price! Has Apple, Google or Meta made an offer yet?
I literally said the exact same thing the day I watched the Apple Vision Pro announcement. I went out and found XReal that same day and had the glasses the same week. It’s an entry level AR product and a perfect way to normalize the general public into using these types of products. The best use case I’ve found are long waits. You can throw in your headphones and be good. It also makes mobile gaming make more sense to me.
These 2 items are not comparable I am getting both, but to be clear this is a computer monitor without the computer in sunglasses form, its user case is plug into a device and get a bigger screen. Apple vision is a computer with the newest technology in biometrics you will be able to play state of the art vr and ar games make and recieve facetime calls with latest technology in avatar generation. You can not compare a basic computer monitor to a computer they are not comparable ( I say basic, as there are computer monitors that are computers). The Xreal Air 2 pro is $470 with beam at $130. At $600 that's 17% of the cost of Apple Vision, but with Apple Vision you are getting so much more. This is just a guess but I believe that $3500 will not be a typical price they are testing the waters, if it is successful I believe they will put out a more affordable headset. Meta Quest a competitor has done the same thing, they put out a pro version of a headset then a year later had a device with similar tech (not everything) for less than half the price of the pro version.
First off, good luck buying a Chinese company. It's basically impossible as long as the CCP is in charge. Secondly, these are a completely different product category compared to VR glasses. I guess you haven't even tried VR yet?
Still doing research in case I wanted to cancel my pre order of the xreal ultra model and I’m so excited to try them out. Me and my wife got a decently big tax return so I spoiled myself. I can’t wait to test these out and see/ test everything
It would be nice if I can connect the same to my Xbox and I can watch movies.the view in this glasses with 130inch Virtual screen and sound from my home theater with Dolby Atmos now that's really a game changer... hopefully waiting for that one so I can have the best experience back home 😉
I bought mines after i saw your video last year, I get them from Japan because no shipping to Norway 😅 I use them mostly for my steam deck and next week for my lenovo legion go, but i think is not worth it the upgrade ,thank you very much for the video 🤩👍🏼
I hope they come out with the air3 with everything else built-in like the 3 display modes from the Xreal Beam and HDMI adaptor to plug into your gaming/work desktop.
I bought the first one and it is better than any VR I tried. I also have PSVR2 and that is a dead device for me the image quality is so blurry. Air has good and clear image, but the image is so close to you eyes that my eyes get paralyzed after a while. It's not like looking at a TV from a distance or not even a phone in front of your face. It's so close to your eyes that you can feel your eye muscles having trouble trying to focus the image few centimetres away from you. All these technologies have the same issue, at least for me.
I’ve only had my pair of xreal glasses version 1 for like 2 months! If I knew that the second version was coming out I would have just waited lol but I’m still happy with my version 1s
Been following nreal for years, waiting for the first truly wireless version to launch (my guess the 3rd gen will be the one to buy) along with some real XR compatibility beyond just a screen.
By make it wireless, it means they have to put a battery, which will make it so heavy and uncomfortable. They design it for long time use, so comfort is a big deal. So, no, I dont think they'll make it wireless
@@aryo7781 My only wish is for increased FOV. 46 is really not enough for a movie theater experience. It needs to be at least 70. If that's the only improvement they make for the 3rd version, maybe along with the spatial features being available without the use of beam, then it would be an instant buy for me, even at $500.
Seems like they really focused on the issues with the first batch. I had to get my ear part replaced because it cracked. However they literally sent an ups to come pick it up from my house with no charge. I was really surprised and skeptical honestly. I doubt that will last forever but I thought it was worth noting. The nose piece was very uncomfortable especially depending on your face shape. I would recommend them. I use them for my Steam deck. I just wish there was a way to charge my devices while using the glasses. Kinda wish they talked about the FOV. If the display was just a but bigger. It would aliviate so many issues. But either I missed it or they didn’t say. But too bad they had no app for iOS. There are updates I can’t do since I don’t have a pc. But regardless if your thinking of getting this go for it. I told 8 people at work about it and they all got it and love it
I was super excited when I saw this and against my usual self (who researches everything before I buy something) I immediately ordered the Air2 Pro. I got them yesterday and was quite disappointed to realize it doesn't work as easily as "advertised" in this video. For example I can't use them with my Pixel 6, despite it having a USB-C port. Your device needs to support USB-C display port. Only very few devices (compared to how many different mobile phones are out there!) support this. Granted, I don't have the newest devices and should've probably educated myself better, do a bit more research but unless you also own some very new hardware (remember he mentioned an IPhone 15), simply plugging it into any USB-C port won't do anything. For everyone who now thinks buying that xreal HDMI adapter to at least use the glasses on older iphones or their gaming console, apparently that adapter has some "less optimal" power supply design (meaning there is no power cord, it runs on battery and needs to be charged every few hours which is not a smart design for "at home" use cases). I'm also using a Macbook Pro which is useless with these, as it's not one of the newest generations. Long story short, I still love the idea and the device but just wanted to warn others who might also get uncontrollably excited and ready to order, make sure you check the specs and compatibility list on their website. This presentation of "plug-it-into-almost-any-device-and-you're-ready-to-go" is quite misleading and feels more like an ad than a review.
It gives you your hands back. You don’t always have to divide your time and attention between holding your phone and using your arms while watching a video. You can do minor tasks while still running a video. I LIKE and SOLD! 👍
The one feature i wish was possible would be for the phone screen to be off but continue watching UA-cam/Netflix or other videos through the glasses. Would do wonders for battery life.
I can turn off my smartphone screen. But the "ReadiFor" function is responsible for this. Короче-е. В поиске забейте тут ""Ready For" mode on Motorola Razr 2022"
We can do that with Samsung DeX and the Airs, but for other phones the phone manufacturer would have to allow the feature, which they only do for large companies/revenue generating apps/their own features.
Hi, balmighty81! It depends. On the iPhones, you can get the videos playing with the screen lock (only wired connection); But on some Android phones, it doesn't support this kind of function.
The Xreal Alr 2 pro glasses already have decent characteristics, but they lack a decent video camera. This would allow you to read the QR code, read the translated text, find out location information from address plates on houses, in the absence of GPS, take photos and videos. When using glasses together with a smartphone with USB C 3.2 /DP and the corresponding applications installed on the smartphone and working together with a video camera, as well as a smart watch used as a touchscreen, it would be convenient to control the system without taking the smartphone out of your pocket!
@@mschoenholzerif privacy is an issue then a manual slider to cover the camera would be great. I agree with having a camera on the glasses. It will be very useful.
Then you would make the glasses far more controversial because you will have cameras pointed at people without their consent (and it's not obvious like stationary security cameras)
@@AntonioCunningham if that is too much of a concern may be a manual slider to open and close the camera cover would be good. I'm looking at the future where I don't need to touch my phone ever again. Basically I can connect to these glasses and then some sort of small gyroscopic Bluetooth pointer device with a single button to navigate the mobile UI through the glasses.
I really hope they make a "NREAL" Light successor some day, even for $1500 that would be a huuuge Hololens competitor instead of just another pair of 3dof glasses (for $600 obviously even more so...)
I think to use for fpv flying for drones is an awesome use case. I find myself squinting and bending my neck a lot when I do my flights. This would really help
Man… the next 10-20 years are going to be wild. Just imagine a google/meta/apple version of this but with Bard/Gemini/chatgpt attached in addition to a good camera. I’m not interested in apple vision pro, I’m interested in this.
Connected to my Samsung phone, because of dex, I have a pocket computer and a virtual screen that is very legit. I have a folding keyboard and travel mouse paired with the phone. It’s a very complete experience and I can do some real work with this setup with a nice big desktop to work with.
While cool, I don't see myself getting any ar, vr or xr glasses/goggles until they can figure out wireless and possibly less bulk but I think thats a few years away.
The dimming is cool but as an air owner, its definitely not what I was wanting from an upgrade. Native AR, the ability to resize the display and the ability to use them without a cable (admittedly that last one might need some advances in technology for the size) are all I actually want. I'm still waiting for windows support and the xreal beam to be available in UK.
As an owner of the Air, the dimming is one of the things that will surely make me buy this new one. For my case, never feel like to resize the display and use without cable need to add battery so it will add weight (on a pair of glasses, it's something) and a lifetime to the product (can't be replacable batteries in there I think). That said I am also waiting for Windows support
Im really looking forward to the new version of these glasses. I had to return the old one cause of their app problem and extreamly hard to wear when I want to lay down
can they be adjusted for pupil distance, or is that fixed? ie if your pupils are further apart than what this is setup for then youre going to be slightly cross eyed to see the screens which will cause massive eye fatigue after a while.
P.J. I think this product is so exciting! I am visually impaired and I purchased the first generation with very high hopes. Unfortunately I am one of those people that the additional eyeglass fitment will not work for my particular ailment. I would love to revisit using the new Xreal 2 pros if there could be some software adjustments to App that could allow people with visual impairments to adjust the font size. Like you can using accessibility features on your phone.I kept having to readjust mine on my face and it kept turning them off. It was so close to being a miracle for someone like myself. Keep up the good work 👍
I used my OG Nreal Airs as work glasses. I got more screen soace and was abke to do a ton before they broke! No one knew they were AR. They thought it was a bluelight blocker.
I want to say that these could also be plugged into any graphics cards with a USB-C display out (Nvidia RTX 2000 series, AMD RX 6000 and 7000 series) or by using a USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 adapter, but I’m not sure if graphics cards can provide their own power to other devices that aren’t connected to a power source.
Direct USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode should be fine. Running any kind of adapter like DP to type C might not work because the glasses need an external power source, unless you can get a splitter device that supports USB Power Delivery charging.

I have them and also bought the Rokid Max, I like them a lot better but don't like the cyberpunk look too much. Probably will sell the Air 1 and buy the 2 Pro.
These glasses look super cool! Will get a pair for myself 😎
It's very nicely made. A huge step forward indeed. I wonder when we could have a pair of AR glasses as superb as XReal that could interact with users and the real world via visuals and hand gestures. Now, its just a beautiful display for your devices like mobile phones, computers, etc.
Looks like a must have College essential thing but will wait for more reviews
We appreciate your reviews. Keep up the good work.
This is the future of multimedia content consumption 😎
Glasses aren't a future of anything.
So the xreal were the only AR glasses I didn't think looked goofy. The only issue I had was I wanted them to be 120h. So I guess I don't have an excuse now.
The first Airs do 120Hz too by now. Came with a firmware upgrade.
@@deckverse 🤯
It's a pointless upgrade, I can't belive they're doing this. No resolution improvement, no FOV improvement, no efficiency improvement...
It's just a cash grab what's going on...
And they still haven't released nebula for windows. Even if they did it only supports high end graphics cards. Ugh so disappointed.
@@GatitasecsiiThese are nothing more than Xreal Air 1.5.
It also makes mobile gaming make more sense to me.
yeah but the UX with these xreal kinda sucks ass. source: I have a pair and only used it twice
You really compared Apple's AR to this shit? Just wow!
First off, good luck buying a Chinese company. It's basically impossible as long as the CCP is in charge.
Secondly, these are a completely different product category compared to VR glasses. I guess you haven't even tried VR yet?
I think gen 3 or 4 are gonna be game changers!
Still doing research in case I wanted to cancel my pre order of the xreal ultra model and I’m so excited to try them out. Me and my wife got a decently big tax return so I spoiled myself. I can’t wait to test these out and see/ test everything
Once these let you have multiple monitors floating in your environment, I'm sold
Great video - I have had all thr glasses since the first nreal airs. I have just ordered the Air 2 ultra - can't wait to compare the experience !
What an articulate and down to earth CEO. Great product and great review!
they should make something like this but without the AR aspect. just VR. should be a lot cheaper. plugging into your iphone is a killer feature.
Once these become wireless it will be a game changer
Mind-blowing. I didn't know such technology already exists!
If I knew that the second version was coming out I would have just waited lol but I’m still happy with my version 1s
that "stationary" cycling cut scene had me in stitches
Lol at the 'exclusive'! Right next to your thumbnail was Techspurt's reviewing the exact same things.... 🤣
@@aryo7781 If they use a flexible battery or new tech products won't have to be so heavy
We appreciate your reviews. Keep up the good work.
Nice comment, same as the one you posted 5 hours ago. Not that you're a bot or anything..
I told 8 people at work about it and they all got it and love it
I can watch spots while i work👌🏻
I was super excited when I saw this and against my usual self (who researches everything before I buy something) I immediately ordered the Air2 Pro.
Omg the electric tinting! I've been waiting for this tech! I want an entire house with it on the windows, mirrors, everything. 😅
i like this approch more than apple vision pro becouse of comfortability and ease of use.
It gives you your hands back. You don’t always have to divide your time and attention between holding your phone and using your arms while watching a video. You can do minor tasks while still running a video. I LIKE and SOLD! 👍
Best use to show off. GPS while driving give an IRL UI HUD. Worst thing would be movies while driving.
It turns off for Netflix but UA-cam has to be on. At least for the iPad.
Shades with electric dimmer alone is game changing
I have ordered these can’t wait to see them.
How good (or bad) is it for office use? Is text crisp? Can it display multiple monitors?
Connecting a drone was the game changer I needed
Crazy good video. Mine will be here in two days
Man, XREAL-guys' drip is on pont
I have the originals and can testify that these are amazing. I can't wait for the new ones.
I have the originals too.. its great overall but having a larger head the arms feel extra warm against my temples.. i hope the xreals improve on this
The Xreal Alr 2 pro glasses already have decent characteristics, but they lack a decent video camera.
I'm very happy that it has no cam. Keeps the price down and prevents privacy concerns.
@@mschoenholzerif privacy is an issue then a manual slider to cover the camera would be great. I agree with having a camera on the glasses. It will be very useful.
They should've also added a camera to these glasses so that we could scan the QR codes without having to take out the phone.
Integration between these and Meta Quest 3 would be amazing
This is gonna sell a lot more than the apple crazy expensive glasses.
These glasses are amazing!!!
I was begining to feel left out until they said it can have prescription inserts! and for the price, very, very tempting!
Man… the next 10-20 years are going to be wild. Just imagine a google/meta/apple version of this but with Bard/Gemini/chatgpt attached in addition to a good camera.
I’m not interested in apple vision pro, I’m interested in this.
I have the v1 and love them! Use them all the time. Should I upgrade?
Connected to my Samsung phone, because of dex, I have a pocket computer and a virtual screen that is very legit. I have a folding keyboard and travel mouse paired with the phone. It’s a very complete experience and I can do some real work with this setup with a nice big desktop to work with.
While cool, I don't see myself getting any ar, vr or xr glasses/goggles until they can figure out wireless and possibly less bulk but I think thats a few years away.
Thanks for the top quality content 🙏🙏🙏
I had to return the old one cause of their app problem and extreamly hard to wear when I want to lay down
bu sadece gözlüğe yerleştirilmiş ekran bir sensör bişi ekleseydiniz derinlik algısı verseydiniz mükemmel gözlük olurdu holo lens gibi
Impressive AR Tech it still not perfect. Thank you for your cool channel.
can they be adjusted for pupil distance, or is that fixed? ie if your pupils are further apart than what this is setup for then youre going to be slightly cross eyed to see the screens which will cause massive eye fatigue after a while.
These look so cool! I wish I could get one, a pink one~
I absolutely need that CEO jacket.
I think in 3 years AR glasses will be everywhere especially schools. I bet money that they even add a language model assistance.
Ill be buying this next month for my switch oled.
Those are really cool, I'd preorder if they were available in the EU.
They are in a few European countries, more to follow
His pink jacket actually slaps.
There are already many motherboards with Thunderbolt.
I still have my Nreal and I use it for everything from gaming to watching series or UA-cam
Any possible promo code getting revealed?
Glad they're finally breaking Into the UK market, socks being the only guy around wearing a pair
some people are saying that they experience haziness on the end of the screen of the glass, that on the edges that it wasn’t clear
I just bought 2 pairs
if i didn't already have a TV setup, these would be a good alternative...
i just bought a pair, cos the CEO looks like he is very passionate about what he does
