To put in perspective how long The Queen lived & served, she was born when Coolidge was President, been on the thrown since Truman was President, & has been around to see 39% of our country's history.

It's Weird To Think About United Kingdom Without The Queen .
Though I'm an American, I too have lived my entire life only knowing of Queen Elizabeth II as Monarch, and I'm so saddened with regards to her passing: not only for the Great people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth but for her family: King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward. But also for Prince William who will bear the burden in due course of being King. And of course, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. RIP her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Long live King Charles III.

To me, The Queen is immortal. Her Majesty is forever alive in the histories of this world, the memories of her people at home and abroad. The world will never know a person who was so dedicated, so influential and respectable for a very long time if at all. I am a royalist and I now believe that HM King Charles III will carry his mother's memory proudly in his heart and will be just as important as Queen Elizabeth II was.

I still can't get my head around it! I I was a 5yr old in London the summer of the Coronation - saw her come out of Buckingham Palace in a limo. We watched the Coronation live on tv and a few days later I ducked under a rope in the Royal Mews and touched a wheel of the gold coach. In the 70's I was in a choir that sang for her and Prince Phillip, and in 1985 I was asked to sing O Canada at a state luncheon for her mother and had a chat with her after.
RIP...
I never knew any other Queen so I don't know what to say...

Ironic, because real Irish people in Ireland have been quite appreciative of her and her personal influence on the peace process. Also, I wonder how many Americans self-identifying as Irish realise that for most of US history the immigrants from Ireland were almost wholly Protestants (many from what is now Ulster) of the sort who are historically ardent supporters of the monarchy and the Union.

PUBLIC RECORD the stress this caused was recorded and discussed on numerous media PUBLIC RECORD his grandfather died and he did not reduce his campaign of foul behaviour.. in fact his wife increased the behaviour causing more stress PUBLIC RECORD this stress was discussed at length in the days before the Queens death.. @Black Sparrow Not everyone in the British isles is Anglo-Saxon. Nowadays England has a mixture of celts, Briton, viking, Norman, Dane, Anglo-Saxons and other European blood in small parts. You’re more likely to see a red haired person in England than in Ireland or Scotland nowadays.

Angles, Saxons and Jutes came from the area in and around Denmark. The first Duke of Normandy was Hrolf Gangr (which basically meant Rollo the Viking) was from Denmark or Norway. But, that aside, it is fair to say that the modern British (including Scottish and Welsh) make up is a mix. Mostly "celtic" (ie European - largely via Spain), then Anglo-Saxon (North Germany and Denmark) with barely a trace of Roman, Scandinavian ("viking" 😫) and Norman. The Welsh have the most of the pre-celtic post-ice age Britons, Yorkshire has the most Scandi. The Irish ironically have quite a lot of Scandi and Anglo-Norman and later British.
People forget America was a settler colony of England the American Colonists where of ethnic English heritage. Most of the founders of America Geroge Washington great grandfather John Washington came from England. John Adams Great great grandfather Henry Adams came from England. Ben Franklin dad Josiah Franklin born in England. Look up there names all English names Washington Adams Franklin. American colonies where inhabited by Brtishers White Englishman of course other white western European ethnic groups. Germans
