We used to have a bins store near me - one of those that each day the price goes down. They frequently got stuff in from Target overstocks as well as salvage. I got so many wonderful Studio McGee pieces during that time. If you have any in your area I recommend checking them out - I got tons of vases, faux stems, lamps, linens and most were $5-10. So thankfully I have a lot of Studio McGee and many pieces just need small tweaks to remain current. You did a great job with your dupes! Blessings!
Omg Tasha I can't believe you found that wooden basket for only 2 bucks... it's almost identical. Oh and I love those leaves from Hobby Lobby. Another great video! And that horse... WOW
Thank you!! Yes it was a steal! The man selling it seemed to think that the little chipped part of it was a big flaw but to me it just added character.
Hi Tasha, I found your channel recently and I am really enjoying your video! Your ideas are beautiful and practical. Shopping now I find really neat and unusual items to use in my decor. Watching you has helped me to be more creative and enjoy the thrill of the hunt.😊❤
I like that you incorporate tablecloths in your designs. I always have one on my kitchen table. It not only protects my table but offers color to my kitchen. Love your style and videos.
I wish I had thrift stores like yours. The tip with the steamer is wonderful have tried it several times and it really works.Thank you for sharing all of the dupes.
Hi Tasha, I really liked this creative video. You never disappoint and you are an inspiration to us all, that we can elevate our life for a fraction of the price. You are a star 💫 God Bless. Till next time. Your Aussie friends Fiona and John 🦘😊🙏🪴🌷
I used a tablecloth for a balloon swag curtain in my kitchen dining area. The window is quite large and I didn’t find any curtains that seemed appropriate. I just folded it in half lengthwise over the curtain rod then used gros grain ribbon to tie up three loops/ballooned and it looks great. I also used the coordinating napkins to make just a valance for the small window over the sink. I get so many compliments on them both. Flat sheets are another great option.
Tasha I just love to get a notification that you have a new video. You have such a great eye. You’re really convincing me I do need to learn to sew. We use cloth napkins also. I have mostly white, I think I do need to invest in some with darker colors. I did get all mine from estate sales though! Hannah Naylor just posted a video that she had found a wooden basket a Homegoods at some point also. I sure wish I naturally had your talent, I mean I’m learning!
I have some light ones too and white can be bleached of course, but I just feel "safer" when I use my darker ones haha. Maybe you will find a lovely dark fabric at a thrift store and try out making your own. My sewing machine is not fancy or expensive (think it was just a Walmart variety for ~$100 at the time) but it's served me well. I only do pretty simple sewing. Sewing a straight hemline and then fringing the edges by just pulling out some threads is a super easy style napkin that looks very high end but is very forgiving for a beginner. Thank you for watching!!
All the dupes are great, but the wood basket for $2 is an amazing find. Hands down the horse is my favorite piece…I can’t wrap my head around someone selling that stunner for ONE dollar! That is a real keeper, and something you will be able to incorporate into your home as your taste evolves and changes over the years, a classic….enjoy it❤️.
OK ,, these prices will drive me crazy 🤪 😜 🤣🤣 OMG that amazing horse only 1 $ 😳😳 And that beautiful blue vase ,, just wow 👌 As always you know how to make use of everything around you 👏👏👏 I love watching your beautiful videos ❤❤❤
I love your dupes. ❤ Too bad our thrift stores here in California are ridiculous. They charge as much as Marshall’s and TJMaxx. They will also sell stuff from the Dollar store for more than what you would’ve paid at the dollar store. It’s really sad. 😔
Omg Tasha I can't believe you found that wooden basket for only 2 bucks... it's almost identical. Oh and I love those leaves from Hobby Lobby. Another great video!
Hi Tasha...I have been mowing for two days..push mowing and riding, so when I came in to take a break and saw you on my feed I was so excited. I swear I always think you can not top the last video and then YES you do. Omg, I would get so excited to get that wooden basket. I think like you..why pay so much if you can find these things for such a good price. I think you should display that beautiful box. Can you use it as a riser to put a picture on? I love your tablecloth too. Right now I have a beautiful brown and white tablecloth and thought about making a dress, or a maxi skirt. I love the leaves and so dramatic in that bug bunch in the Pottery bowl. I can not believe the horse price and that large glass piece . Who would get rid if that??? Every single thing was so good Tasha. I bet your husband and family are so proud of you. Right now, I am borrowing my neighbors steamer. You do great things with yours. I may have to get one..Tasha, our yard sales are horrible...just high priced junk. I am so envious of your finds amd the prices. Saturday, my husband was not into going to an estate sale in a fancy neighborhood , but I was having withdrawals. It was the last day and he said he would go...parking always so tricky.. There were beautiful things but some pretty high prices, even for the last day. I found a huge closet that had new with tags ona lot of clothes...a lot were $119.00 I have a pretty casual life style but I occasionally need dress pants. I got two pairs of pants, a Marshall University polo, a beautiful cotton/spandex cropped beige striped jacket...same brand as the pants so probably originally more than 119.00, and a linen striped sweater...I have never seen a one hundred percent linen sweater. I got all five for 12.50!!! I also got two bags of miscellaneous...I still iron some got an almost new Rowenta iron for one dollar, dish towels, kitchen towels etc for practically nothing. There was beautiful pottery and ceramics. I saw this big rabbit I thought was 12.00..thinking it woukd be 6.00 but after looking it was 120.00...no thanks. There was a girl when we came in carrying an armload of clothesput to her cars. The were all in neutrals tans, off whites, creams, beautiful sweaters..but happy for her. Have a great rest of the weekend Tasha. You always inspire me. You look so cute I your apron...oh and that Julia Childs book..so pretty. ❤❤❤❤
Hi Tasha ❤.. I love all of your fabric dupes!!! Really really nice. You have such a lovely style..you and your hand held steamer are unstoppable ❤❤ great video as usual. Thank you for sharing x
I love your style and love the affordable finds!❤❤❤ I pop in to the Goodwill close to me occasionally and never find anything but I’m gonna keep trying. Keep the inspiration and videos coming.!
I really enjoy your videos. Am not as creative and talented as you. But was a simple diy, that I could probably do, to spray paint the white picture stand black, to transform it to a cookbook stand … looks so great, and is so useful!!
Oh my Tasha. I can't believe your amazing finds. Such nice items and very similar to the highend ones. You're a really great thrifter. Sincerely I liked all the items!!!
Happy Tasha Tuesday, y'all! I've been looking for a long box like your tin one to store TP in our powder room which doesn't have any storage (pedestal sink). You can always rub n buff it to fit your color scheme better (only because you mentioned it pulls green a bit) 💕
Oh that's a great idea. I just tested it and it's not quite big enough to hold toilet paper rolls. But it's a really good thought. And yes I could rub and buff it or paint it or something... If I could just find a spot where it looked good in general 😊 I think it would be easier with more than one because then it makes a statement, but as it is with just one long skinny one I'm having trouble. 😋
I love these videos. They're especially helpful in this economy of ours. Thank you for your great inspiration showing us we can have the Pottery Barn look on a Goodwill budget.

I was just thinking, when these expensive stores sell new seasonal products, it's just like fashion. The fashion shows set the next season's looks so you see similar styles and colors in the box stores. When places like McGee & Co and Pottery Barn, etc put out their new seasonal products, you can find similar if not the same at box stores like Marshalls, etc and Amazon. They have pretty much set the seasonal standard that everyone else follows.
I dust them with a stiff brush when I first bring them home. You can also spray them with a spray disinfectant like Lysol or Microban. As long as it wouldn't harm the material, you can also run a handheld steamer over them as a disinfectant.
