Small suggestion for improvement: If you export a CC4 with InstaLOD to merge materials ( e.g. all to a 4k texture ) then the "CC_Base_BoneRoot" is called "root" instead, which makes the script not apply the rig to the mesh with the message "The "BoneRoot" joint does not exist. Please import CC4 Character FBX". It would make sense to allow both CC_Base_BoneRoot and root. If the bone is renamed manually to CC_Base_BoneRoot the script works without problems, but it took me some time to find out why the script was not working. Now it works, thankyou for your nice integration script 👏🏻
This is a game changer! Thank you so much for creating these tools. Have you successfully retargeted ActorCore mocaps? The arms never work correctly, but everything does. Thoughts? Thanks!
Also, do you have any plans on Automated Material conversion to Redshift? I do this manually and find that's some textures are missing or link the wrong port. Would be amazing!
Hi you can reach me directly here cc4dtools@gmail.com. Yes I already noticed the bug on the reset parameter tag on the master control. I will provide a new version of the control rig where this is fixed in the next days
Yes for C4D R21 - R24 there is a content browser library with the assets included. You can get more info about this here: blkmsk.gitbook.io/cc4d-tools-manual/installation#content-browser
@@CC4DTools Hi, thanks for following up! Really appreciate you taking the time. Basically, I can’t get the sliders to work. - I’ll explain everything below. Forgive the length of this message, just for the sake of clarity: The original comment you are referring to was: When I try to add the body and face rigs, by clicking on the icons on the palette, I just get an error message saying: “The"CC4_CTRL" group does not exist. Please import CC4D Control Rig.” - I then deleted that comment because I found that if I clicked on the face and body rig icons inside the content browser, rather than the palette, I could still set up the rig all the same.- So as far as I know, Iv’e set it up exactly as instructed in this vid. - I have a NEW problem though, the sliders.- So, I’m currently animating things by: Clicking on the icons for the respective face and body rigs when they appear on the top-right corner of the screenThis takes me to a pictorial menu. I click on the part I want to move, which selects the control of the body part I want to move- This is far from ideal. Its super confusing and inconsistent to use. - I need the sliders. I can only find ones for the face, under “face_CTRL_extended”, and they dont work. Nothing happens to the face when I move any of them. - If I can get this working with sliders I’ll be so happy, as its basically dodged the need for me to spend all my money on iclone!- Please let me know if you need me to send anything else to help solve this problem.-thank you in advance
I thanks for the reply! I'll try my best to help. but I'm not really sure if I understand your issue correctly. I assume with pictorial menu you refer to the 'visual selector' tag? like the name states this is just for selecting the control objects, not for animating or moving them. Are those the sliders you are refering to? like a 2D user interface for controlling the character? the CC4D rigs do not have such a thing. the whole point of eG the CC4D face rig is to not have to deal with the pose morph sliders and rather have more controlable objects in the viewport than dozens of sliders. To understand your problem better it would be good if you could send me a short screencapture showing the issue as well as the console log after you have done the whole Control- & Face Rig Setup to cc4dtools@gmail.com In the meantime here is another quick clip showing the whole setup process in R21: drive.google.com/file/d/1SfImMoh1BmHXBXX1QoME25fLarvsR4Ga/view?usp=sharing If your issue is less about the whole setup process and more about the functionality of the rigs you can read and view more about that here: blkmsk.gitbook.io/cc4d-tools-manual/control-rig-overview blkmsk.gitbook.io/cc4d-tools-manual/face-rig-overview

Thanks for the input and I'm glad you got it to work! I wasn't aware of this as I never have used the instaLOD function. I will have a look into it

Hi. I am using C4D 2024 2.0. Does this tool work for this version? Thank you
Hi, yes they do
Is there a discord you can reached at? Im using the rig and for some reason my reset all parameter isn't working.
