    You can use the delta mush thing to fix the messy topology. Also I found adding dots following the eyelid shape, two extra to the top and bottom lips as well as two more dots to the upper and lower eyes gets a far better result.

    amazing. Nice demo. Certainly in the right direction. Since your in a swivel chair, why not set the camera on a firm surface and just rotate yourself in your chair? or a rotating stool? Your a good instructor by the way. LIstening as I type, your 'çhanging out eyeballs', something your dont hear everyday. Have watched 3D character modeling for a couple decades now. Teeth light changing, and lip movement are the biggest challenge still. Its easily solved, but they just dont incorporate any of it in animations.

    I would love to better understand the differences between creating a character from photos in Character Creator/Headshot vs Metahuman, for personal use. Is the main reason to use character creator the cost vs a commercial subscription for Unreal?

      @promptmuse  10 місяців тому +1

      Metahuman is great, but currently there’s quite bit of additional work to get it fully customised. I did do a video on customising metahumans from a photo as well. It’s free software but can costly in time. 👍

    Would it be propriate to make some characters from character creator and use them in our game, if we did not purchase it and used 30 days trial? This is too damn powerful, nice and fast workflow, but etical thoughts.. just wanted to share it with you and have an answer.. Obviously export would not want bo be put in the portfolio but using it in game is another subject to be discussed

    • @promptmuse
      @promptmuse  10 місяців тому +1

      I’m not sure what limitation you have with the trial. It would be great if you could make characters and export them in the 30 day window. They might have some sort of indie license, but there is 50% if you are teacher/ student. Might be worth reaching out to them and asking. They are pretty responsive on the real illusion website

    What would be total cost of everything(softwares,addons) you used ?

    • @promptmuse
      @promptmuse  10 місяців тому +1

      I’ll find there bundles page and add it here but off the top of my head over $1k. It’s a lot if it we’re a hobby. If using it for work it isn’t a lot compared to other products (3D professional can get pricey quite quickly) But it’s a one off payment.
      Additional plug ins are extra but you buy those as and when needed.
      I also use (not for this tutorial) Zbrush/AE/Photoshop,marmoset, substance painter. My software subscription is my main outgoing 😅

      Daz and it's genesis models are great as long as you have ZERO plans for complex animation in which case you will have to export and re-rig the Daz figure in Icione or Blender etc. or suffer greatly

      base on the emotions that you want to convey. the new Metahuman Animator is good for long lasting 'angry, sad, thrilled ' kind of emotions. CC is good for ingame cutscene. Imagine you want a scene of ' i slap you on your left face' , accounting for facial muscle swirling, wrinkles appear and disappear. none of these software can give you accurate simulations, but Metahuman Animator is the best.
