Hi there, Gord. Now I want to go to the beach!!! Love the shadow box and all of the possibilities that you outlined. This design concept could be used to make lots of nice personalized gifts depending on someone’s interests and likes. As always, thanks for sharing and demonstrating. Cheers! Sharon
Great tutorial. I've made multi-layer shadow boxes cutting poster board by hand and also using a Cricut. I also backlit the layers with LED "fairy" lights. Maybe some day a laser.
Another WOW. That's so cool Gord. Glad you're having such a great time with your Laser Bolt. You're doing a great job with it. Stay safe and keep up the fun around there. Fred.
Great video Gord. Really amazing what lasers can do. I work in a fabrication shop, we have 2 20KW lasers, a 12kw and a 14kw. Neat to see all that is possible and the things you can make. 👍🏻👍🏻 Edit was: Eagle laser, 20KW is what we have in my shop. They do have videos up on UA-cam Tube for those who may be interested. Cheers from the neighbor from the country south of you.
i've been lasering for 2.5years, still know alot of tips and trix but i still love watching your videos! they are soothing and just overall a great watch!. keep doing you! it works.
Awesome tutorial, one of the things I like to do is use veneers, stacked on one another, to create a "shadow box" effect without the extra thickness for more customized wall-hanging gifts. Just a different type of veneer for each layer creates a pretty awesome effect.
Just a tip, I usually set each panel to fill and give each one a different color, then drag one on top of the other to get an idea what they look like together.
Nice. I'm fairly new to engraving and have been making layed designs for practice until I get my big laser. Steps are right on and right on the money. I've found doing simple designs then progressing makes a great way to solidify the skills needed to make good designs. Thanks for the video BTW can you post a link of where you got the big masking tape roll? Amazon?
Hi Gord. Thank you for your wonderful videos. I also live in Ontario and I'm wondering where you buy your wood from. Would you mind sharing your sources? Thank you very much and keep up the great work.
Yes absolutely. I buy my premium wood products from KJP Select Hardwoods in Nepean. I buy most of my acrylics from PlasticWorld here in Toronto and if they don't have the colours I need, I will buy the others from KJP. I buy my Rowmark (Lamacoid) products mostly from cesco dot com, among other materials, in Mississauga. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
@@LaserNUG Thanks Gord. I was looking at KJP also, but unless you buy a lot I thought the shipping was a bit expensive when compare to the price of the materials. But maybe I'm just too cheap .😀 Thanks for Acrylic pointer as well. I'm in Mississauga, so I'll take a look at Cesco also. Thanks again.
@@sawmillvalley LOL! No, you aren't at all. It IS expensive but I haven't found anyone closer that sells that quality and variety of wood products. Cheers!
Good day Jesse. They were all very stable except the point where the bottom of the large sail attached to the mast. I had to reinforce it from behind but the rest of the pieces were very strong. Great question - thanks!
Lasers are amazing. Im finding uses for my machines that I never dreamed of. And Lightburn? This is one hell of a great program.

Good morning my brothers full support new friend ❤thanks
Do you feel the Bolt is the machine for the future? I am considering the XTool P2 for doing longer pieces.

Are you concerned about the little pieces being Fragale and breaking?
