Why the kahle hooks? I had a buddy that swore by them for flounder. He caught some but I didn't see any advantage over offset J hooks, but I always use smaller ones than most people. Have you tried jig heads with live bait for flounder? I've seen it work in Florida when I was growing up there. Now I live in VA near the Chesapeake and I've fished a lot since I got here in July. Being stuck on the beach and piers and being new to the area means I haven't caught a ton of keepers but I'm catching flounder, trout and redfish some. I wish the flounder were around more, and I'm jealous of your sheepshead from shore. I don't know a spot to do that. I got a kayak and made friends with guys with yaks so we go on the weekends if the weather cooperates. It's pretty cool to fish under the flight path of fighters leaving Langley AFB. Looks like y'all have a great fishery from shore or piers. That's awesome. It's pretty strict here, a lot of great spots are blocked or have signs saying no fishing or crabbing.
